    Solid review but you left out almost everything concerning triskates and kinda just shrugged off freeride skates in general which is the most popular type of skating at the moment.

    Thank you. Great video. Do you happen to know any taller boots, like urban skates, that have the 195mm speedskate bolt spacing.

      Seba Marathon model is 195 and has a mid cuff and pretty much everyone who tries it loves it.

    Hi, how do you maintain the wheels in a rockered set up?
    Still a noob but the slalom style has caught my interest so I would like to know how to switch the wheels in order to make them last longer. Would appreciate it...😊

  • @kchappelle
    @kchappelle 5 лет назад +1

    Dude, you failed to mention the most important part and benefit of the trinity mounting system and the side mounting rivets on Bauer hockey skates. The fact that you don't have that clumsy mounting bolt in the middle of the front of the skate...allowing for a much lower center of gravity by having the front wheel actually protruding out of the top of the frame and coming very close to the bottom of the boot.

    Can i use speed skate frames on my size 46EU freestyle boot? coz it's the only long 276mm frame i can find. my current frame is 243mm 4x80

  • @silverstreaks86
    @silverstreaks86 4 года назад +1

    I wanted to ask how would the gap between the wheels affect maneuverability? I bought a pair of Powerslide triskates, the trinity frame can accommodate 90mm or 100mm wheels. With the 90mm wheels setup, I can fit two fingers between each wheel, and carving from side to side seems somewhat difficult 🤔 or is it just my poor technique? Because with my old 4x80mm flat setup skate, I can only just about fit a credit card between each wheel and carving seems to be alot easier.

      There's a few things going on here. Smaller wheels roll along a tighter radius when on an edge so that makes it easier to turn. Also, more wheels on the ground for any particular contact distance (distance between first wheel touching the ground and the last) means more turning power. So essentially there's some interesting physics going on when the wheel is along an edge and if there's more or less. Hope this clarifies things. --Sonic

    Question. Does Rollerblade or any inline skate company make a high end Rollerblade Fusion style recreational inline skate anymore? I always loved the full plastic boot with the Cam-Lever buckles that are quick and easy to use with no laces to tie

    • @Inmoveskates
      @Inmoveskates  4 года назад

      Well, if you mean a Freeride boot it's Rollerblade Twister(some + and - as they made for freeride and slalom, but nowadays not compete for both) and Twister Edge(freeride model and if it's fit your foot, a good model). A lot of FR skates like FR1 model. Powerslide has some nice freeride models, but not all are nice. Micro Skate would be a budget choice like Micro MT-Plus.
      Almost all these modern models would be more interesting than Fusion if they fit.
      About laces. All models have, but not all models need if it's not a hard freeride skating. For example, my mom uses freeride skates without laces for recreational skating(it's usual Seba Fr2 model). And if a skater need super support, he can use laces to tie as it's really helpful thing for a skate control.

    Been wanting to get into slalom for fun. Is a rockered setup required or optional? Feels like I can’t progress with a flat setup.

    • @ArnavShah
      @ArnavShah 4 года назад +1

      Rockered makes things much easier but it's not absolutely required. You can consider having smaller front and back wheels so you can just switch those and not need a different frame.

    Hi I wanna buy a frame for slalom+one wheel slalom(that is my top 1 priority) + freeride (I am a 55 kg men) --fr 4d rockered OR fr deluxe v3 rockered--
    I worry about 4d frame that made from aluminium 6000 and i scare about (couse it's not aluminium 7000) how is that reasonable for slalom and one wheels to ride on alum7000 opposite to 6000?
    Does it have aluminium7000 influence for control and response wich is really matter at slalom or it just like aluminium 6000 (same effect)?
    (i'm from Ukraine and have a money problem soo couldn't test it by myself and only have in stock a FR 4D frame soo if i need to buy fr deluxe v3 it could be a problem with shipping and money (it's really important for me couse war helps me understand that i relly love rolls and slalom and now it's my life))
    Ty for your time

      @Inmoveskates  2 года назад +1

      Hi! Quick reply:
      Rockered frame for slalom it’s a plus for 1 wheel tricks cause you will use bigger rear wheels with the same length of the frame.
      6000 or 7000 alu is a very small difference between. I mean I used both(not frame models, but same brand and alu types) and I can’t say that I felt better or worse. Maybe I get that I can direct more power on 1wheel in 7000, but not sure, maybe it what I was thinking.
      Theoretically you will loose less power and speed on 7000 alu when you push especially when it’s a push from 1 wheel where you had all your weight.
      But again, we talk about small percentages and you probably will do all the same on both frames.
      And at least it’s not 1000 alu without “bridges”, as there you will feel the difference.

    Okay guys I really need some helping picking the right rollerblades and wheels to use.. So I've been rollerblading for about a year now. I am not bad but not great. I know all the basics and can easily get myself around without struggling. I'm comfortable going fast, and enjoy picking up speed. My balance has gotten pretty good, I can skate/balance on one foot for about 30 seconds and other weird things like that. My turns are good including tight turns and turning while crossing over my feet. I'm okay at stoping. I struggle to stop quickly in a tight space like a sidewalk because I don't have the room to do a mini 360 (I don't know the name of that stopping technique) I'm learning how to do hops and jumps and skate backwards. And I really wanna learn more tricks.
    One of the biggest things that's got me struggling to find a good setup and wheels for me is I skate outside and the trails roads and sidewalks are often rocky, bumpy, twigy, etc. I usually find somehwere smooth to skate around in but when I'm at the park I'm always gonna come along paths that are definitely NOT SMOOTH.
    I want skates/wheels that will allow me to go quick, smoothly and will be good for learning tricks, but also have the durability for wonky roads and paths.
    If you have any information that'll help me, please respond!

      A little late to this question, but if I were at your level, I would want to look for a 3-wheel setup with larger wheels - at least 90mm but maybe as big as 110. I *think* some of the Powerslide Tri-skates have a slight rocker to keep them maneuverable, if I'm not mistaken. And I would really focus on your stops in tight spaces - power stop, power slide, etc., before going fast on trails. ...I'd be interested to know what you ended up with

    • @adelaidebecker1764

      Sorry for the late respond! I ended up getting the FRX 80 skates from FR. looking to get a nice pair of triskates when the money comes around.

      Hello! I ended up getting the FRX 80 skates from FR. I wanted to wait to get triskates until I was a little more comfortable on 4 wheels. I love these skates and they're working well for me. They move well and are comfortable. I've been able to learn slalom and can almost nail the powerstop. These king street wheels have great bearings and the skates overall take impact well. I do want to get a pair of 110mm triskates when the money comes up for some more "off road" skating but the ones I have now deal with street skating quite well!

    Are there any skates for a 110Kg person?

    • @Inmoveskates
      @Inmoveskates  4 года назад

      Well, almost any Freeride skates, best if they have aluminium plates like FR1 models for example. Fitness skates with plastic frame, soft boot and so on, are not the best choice for weight 90+. With freeride skates for sure 110kg works as we had customers with 130kg that took FRX model.
