As usual, you are down-to-earth and pedagogic in your way of teaching, and in this way you get everyone to understand your message..
We’re moving to the Netherlands from Australia in a few months and can’t wait to visit the shop!
Best interview intro, kudos guys!! 💕👍🏻😀
Spinners! Doing right job!
Reading some specification of powerslide wheels there are "high" "super high" and "ultra high" rebound (the higher the rebound the more expensive the skates). I also noticed that the high rebound (which I believe is the lower rebound of wheels in their skates) comes with the specification "cruise comfort". So I ask, besides the speed, what else one can "feel" in skating in different rebound wheels? the comfort is just because it is slower? or is there something else? you feel less "bumpy" or something like that? You could also skate in different rebounds on this is so rebound scale and tell us how does it feel 😅
Hi hope you are well, may I ask you some advice.
We live in Thailand ( mid ) my son and l are very keen skaters just to add there are no shops in our area for advice.
We have a few suitable areas for skating very smooth surfaces BUT there are always small stones that sometimes get stuck between the
Wheels or wheel and frame . This always happens unexpectedly at cruising or high speed.
Very dangerous as you get a wheel jam.
Question: is there anything on the market
Like a stone shield or do you advise to use very
Small wheels. ?
Kind regards from Thailand 👍
hm weird. i never ever had that problem before so also dont know a solution.
I have had this problem one with a little stone between heal brake and last wheel. If you want to totally exclude that from happening, then (a) no heel break and (b) a frame where the wheels are so close one to another, that there is no space for a little stone.
Love from Brasil..... 🇧🇷👏👏👏
Ok but how is soft and easy to destroy the high rebound wheel?
We need grip and longlife wheels ...not easy to have both!👍🏼
Do you get Yak wheels in the Netherlands? They are cheap, but I wonder if they are good for the price or just bad.
Is there a relationship with dual pour wheels and better bounce? I think I remember in a previous video you mentioned that a good dual pour wheel can go bad when the inner hard polyurethane gets damaged or in general when any wheel detaches slightly from the hub, is that right or are there other factors?
good question. All the durometer wheels we tested had great rebound, but that could be due to so many factors.
@@Thisissoul Thanks Ivo
Can you comment on the impact of the dimensions (weight, diameter, shape, core etc.) on your test?
these dont seem to have a factor in the rebound.
@@Thisissoul Thanks!
Well, all things being equal, a heavier wheel will hit the ground harder than a lighter one (obviously this wasn't done in a vacuum)
The factory testing, as described, would eliminate this variability because the metal ball would be the same size, weight, and shape for every test
But really, how precise do we need to be?
@@d_a_hizzle1309 For sure if the differences are marginal it does not matter. Was just curious! thx!
Is there any situation where a lower rebound wheel is better? I guess I tend to prefer harder wheels for speed (80-110mm for me), but I'm thinking that harder wheels might have less rebound...
There is no relation to the hardness measured in the Shore(A) scale and the rebound as we state in the video.
There is also no situation that a low rebound wheel is ever better.
Just wondering, what's really affecting wheels durability other than wheel hardness? I've heard a lot that the harder wheel is more durable than softer wheel but some people say wheel hardness doesn't really mean the wheel is more durability and the wheel compound is more matter when it comes to durability.
check out our video about hardness to get more in to dept about that topic, In general hardness is not the determining factor in how a wheel wears
Which seba wheel was that?
It will be the invader, not a completely fair test though as they’re 84a’s so will absorb the fall more than say the 88a undercover wheels..
@headntheclouds, The wheel is a stock seba wheel from the E3 budget skate. Hence the poor quality. The stock wheels from the more expensive Seba skates are allot better.
@danielclowe, The relation to rebound and hardness you mention is faulty.
Hoe vaak moest die intro over gedaan worden 😂
