The Which From Mercury main theme finally makes its comeback since ep9,this theme has always been the “Eri and Suletta comeback” theme and I don’t think any other track could’ve made this moment as satisfying as this OST did.
When i rewatched episode 1 I'd tell myself "i should really stop liking this theme, it embodies Suletta's thrall to her mother"
AND THEN THIS HAPPENED, AND I CAN NO LONGER NOT LOVE IT.
This theme absolutely slayed!!!!!!

@@greyborg3846 same,I got chills all over and eyes got all wet. I had been hyping myself up to hear this track again in the anime ever since Suletta and Eri got separated. So the payoff was almost too much to handle lol

I was hoping for a Prospera vs. Suletta Gundam battle but this was a pleasant surprise also
It being Prospera vs. Miorine I felt was better in a way especially Mio's last speech to her.
Remember, it's framed around the conventions of Shakespeare's The Tempest, which was a comedy, not a tragedy. It having a more lighthearted ending is appropriate considering that.
@@olinseats4003 that definition of comedy is very old though. Modern comedy is happy laughing fun but back then that was specifically "High Comedy", where as what they called "Low Comedy" we now call "Tragedy".
Wish Gundam Caliban had more on-screen time together with Arial in the last ep. -amazing gunpla design. A hopeful ending for an original adaptation of the Tempest. Somewhere, Willie Shakespeare is smiling in the ether beyond Quiet Zero.

Its cus it 8s. When you get the chance, look up william Shakespeare's The Tempest. Its a story about revenge, redemption and moving forward. This story was written with rhat story as its inspiration.

This series was amazing from beginning to the very end.
Eh. It was rushed. Not to say I'm unhappy with what happened just that it needed to be more fleshed out because it felt abrupt as hell.
I think it was better at the end of the 1st part and the start of the 2nd, before too much childish school anime (except prologue obv) that went deep becoming better but then rushing too much in the end. Anyway it was a nice journey that at least didn't crack our hearts in the end.

It would've benefited from another season to flesh out the story of the second season. A lot of things happened that needed more attention and depth. Overall still a good show though.
I liked it but I wished they gave it maybe 12 more episodes to really flesh out the story. I think Sunrise didn't expect it to be so popular

They could continue it since they basically made sulletta female banagher so if they explore the newtype... err i mean Gund space magic there certainly will be another story to be told for this series.
I mean, it partly works because it fits its main theme. You don't always know what the right answer is. Even though Suletta and Miorine were able to "defeat" Prospera, there is no telling if they are able to achieve their dreams. But that shouldn't stop you from trying. Even if something goes wrong, you need to push on. If everything was fleshed out, there would be no mystery in the future and therefore no risks in going forward. As they always said: Move forward, win 2.
Sunrise focus so much on UC And CE they didn’t think AS to be a hit.
I thought this was still planned for a 48 episode run, and they were splitting it into four seasons.
Honestly, highlight of this episode was seeing the data-storm ghosts. That was heartwarming and sad at the same time.
Such an amazing and satisfying finale! I’m so glad Suletta and Eri got to work together, as well as everyone getting their happy endings at the end. I was even excited when Elan 4 returned to help Suletta awaken Eri.

@@Peasham Only in the last few episodes of Season 2. Some people are now just using *_hindsight_* in some vain attempt to argue every single small moment of interaction in both seasons were somehow hints.

Regardless the Mecha genre feels so underrated to some, Witch from Mercury would always be a gem 💎
Despite the last three episodes rushing to the finish line, I felt rather satisfied with the ending. Overall, Witch from Mercury is a good Gundam show, and I hope to see more added onto the story, whether it's a sequel or a spin-off.
I think they should do a timeskip and just do a whole new series in the same timeline. Suletta is cool, but they could do more with this timeline by expanding on her character with a new series. Let her a less adolescent side by giving her a different role. Kinda like what Amuro was to Kamille. But unlike most of the Gundam MCs, it's hard to see Suletta getting back into a Gundam and fighting for another cause, given she's one of the few Gundam MCs that doesn't become a soldier by the end. This series was entry level, not bad, but they can do alot more for the timeline.
Hopefully they adapt the Spinoff they have with the Tiger Arm gundam, basically a rocket fist with a built in pistol lol
How about a sequel with a new female protagonist, like a Kamille to Suletta's Amuro. I thought of the Gundam design for it: Gundam Slyph, a TMS that can transform from its standard humanoid MS form to its fighter-jet MA form and equip with a GHOST system, a stealth system that camouflage its visibility and becomes undetectable by radar and other forms of sensor. It's basically the Zeta Gundam with Blitz's ability.
@@Herowatcher0000 I like the idea of doing another series with another Female protag where she's the Kamille to Suletta's Amuro. I think Guel really needs more screentime, even if he's 10-15 years older. There were a few good characters that could be expanded on, but they'd have to do a timeskip with the way they ended WfM.
I would personally love a spin-off OVA about Guel and Lauda rebuilding Jeturk Heavy Machinery.

I really thought Witch from Mercury would have lasted longer. After seeing the whole series in its entirety it really feels like a speed run with some amazing emotional moments. If we got more time to meet and get to know the characters from each company house this show would have been wild. But, with what time Sunrise was given they did an amazing job.
In fairness, 50 episode Gundam series wouldn't have given the other House members personalities in the first place.
I get a deeply satisfying feeling when the music kicks in and the merge begins.
This was quite the journey, Sunrise/Bandai would be foolish not to expand the Ad Stella timeline

Sunrise/Bandai announced more upcoming OYW era UC content. AUs like Ad Stella were never high on their list of priorities no matter how well they do. Because UC will always be the precious firstborn child that Sunrise/Bandai will dote over.

And then she ends the whole conflict with literal space magic. Using three other Gundams as part of what almost looks like a magic ritual. She truly is the Witch from Mercury.

I honestly love the Calibarn's pseudo-transformation here, as it gives me very strong Unicorn vibes, and the Unicorn is easily one of my favorite gundams, so I'm all for seeing that aesthetic but in a different timeline's mech style.
I loved how along the series there were subtle (or not that subtle) references to Unicorn. Specially when Suletta pushes Sophie out of the ship the same way Banagher did with Marida

Honestly just calling 8t the Tempest holds enough sentimental value and epicness to m9re than stand on its own , but calibarn tempest does indeed rock.

I very much enjoyed Witch From Mercury. This was one of those anime's you HAD to watch and react with the community weekly to get the full experience. There is nothing like it. Part of me is in still disbelief that this show is over

Great finale. I wish we could have seen like combination attack of the GunD Bits and Calibarn's cannon but I know they wanted Suletta to solve this non lethally. Maybe that can be something SRW does one day.

I am confused about the Gundam Aerial kit: It came with red eyes but I don’t recall the Gundam’s eyes ever turning red in the series.
Was hoping it was an indicator of a berserker mode or something
Yeah that is really weird, also the fact she has blue sabers, which are combat setting sabers in AS, but base Erial never has out-of-school combat, but it is the sabers she uses in games like Battle Alliance and Overboost.
It was probably something that was planned early in production, which is often when the model kits and toys are also being designed, but ended up being cut later on.
I wanted more, but I'm also truly ok with this ending!

This was beautiful
The best theme of the season makes it's glorious return. I love the entire sound track for this show, but this, this track is something special. I wish we had one more episode to really show everything wrapping up a little better. But overall a great show and an awesome gundam series
As cool as this is, The ending just felt so abrupt. The last episodes just felt rushed and then the ending just happens, I won't say this was a horrible ending however i feel like the could've fleshed everything out had it gotten more episodes. But yet, we got an ending that didn't really satisfy me at all.
Calibarn is a fascinating Gundam and this scene did it so much justice, feels like a living being.
This is the best series of Gundam history even though my favorite is Gundam seed but watch this series is the best to watch the end song and their ost theme is from the first season which is awesome to end this series love it Gundam love forever baby
Will get both Aerial and Caliburn HD models in my next trip to Japan

Thought we would get a longer series like other traditional gundam shows. I.e 48-50 episodes. Definitely felt the need to flesh out a bit for world building.

Para mi fue medio fumado el poder de Suletta pero fue un final feliz para ellas y para la mayoria de personajes asi que bien por ellos, me deja tranquilo, en calma.
Se veía venir el final rusheado y feliz por 2 razones
1) es una re adaptación de la única novela de Shakespeare que termina decentemente sin tragedia
2) ya habían que querían atraer nuevo público y si mataban a alguna de las protas iban a quedar mal

Damn they actually finished it in 1 episode. I do think it's a bit rushed though. All of this stuff about earth and then it's "solved" because all of the groups assets are being sold. But even with that it was still an amazing anime.

crazy how this is the first good gundam AU since turn A and first good season since build fighters (and the first half of thunderbolt), as well as one of the only gundam series to start good and stay that way to the end

I came into these last few ep thinking there was gonna be at least 10 more, it just seemed like alot happened in the previous ep for it all the wrap up in 1. But overall im happy with the ending im mad that its over and hope they expand on this.

New Type levels of space magic
