I wish people was aware that there's literally nothing The Blade Of The Bear can't cut through as long as the wielder wills it. I like how the randos stop for a second to process what they've just witnessed when I one-shot everything in my path with it.

extra information on flyfish behavior, via inkipedia: "The Flyfish's missiles target the players in the direction it is facing, with the red launcher's missiles targeting the closest player in view, and the blue launcher's missiles randomly targeting another active player. This is only true if both launchers are present: if one of the launchers was destroyed in a prior attack cycle, the remaining launcher will always target the closest player in its view. Destroying the red launcher first grants the player a chance to safely take out both launchers in the same cycle if they are quick enough, at the cost of exposing their teammates to the threat of the blue launcher during that cycle." important information to note if you're unable to safely take out both baskets.
Woah, that throw-a-bomb-at-the-slammin-lid's-barrier technique is so clever! P.S. it should be noted that the reason Inkstrike and Booyah Bomb can splat the flyfish is because they do piercing damage - they cannot destroy the baskets! So if a Flyfish just on the outer edge of a Booyah Bomb or Inkstrike explosion, it will not die, even if both of its baskets are in range of the explosion. It will only take a little bit of damage. That's why you want to hit the Flyfish with your inkstrike directly, and if you're using a Booyah Bomb, try to make sure the Flyfish is closer to the center of the explosion than the edge!
Thank you for this! This is why I also put to aim carefully because somehow the small fry in the flyfish can get ink damage (which is so weird just die already🤬) and also because you can miss since flyfish tend to move a lot depending on who they are targeting 🩷
@@krsspr1032 I’ve actually done this several times :) it’s not really that hard to do you just have to be fast enough to make sure the flyfish doesn’t move away from the Slammin lid :)

it's definitely very useful and satisfying, and makes a great clip if you land the one shot consecutively. However, keep in mind only 4 flyfish can be out at a time. So it's sometimes better to only destroy one basket, that way you cripple it while still taking up one of the four spots (especially on spawning grounds)

This was a great instruction video! The pace and music really helped to keep it from getting boring, very information dense which I appreciate. And you picked up on it yourself when something needed to be slowed down or drawn out to be easier to understand. You have a skill for this I think! I already knew all of these methods, except for the bomb on ledge one. But it's good to see the splatana footage because I never seem able to pull that off 😅

Hu I never even knew about some of the ways and I play salmon run. The dulies getting the kill I would never guess that nor a bomb on a edge I guess you got to be really really good in order to kill flyfish veary easy. But thanks for the tips got to try that bomb ledge one that would save alot of time.

Keep in mind if you are using Booyah bomb or Inkstrike, they have to be direct hits to take them out ! If the bomb or the Inkstrike are not directly targeted, they can only do a little damage to the smallfry in controlling the flyfish (which is so weird 😤)
It’s a good idea not to rely on triple splashdown for this. I’ve found it to be kind of unreliable for some reason, does anyone know how to make it consistent??
@@gezh88 I’d say use it when your team needs help defending themselves. Like clearing out salmonids bunched together. If you absolutely need to use it to clear bosses then do so :).
These don't work in splatoon 2 right? Only the normal bomb throw works in Splatoon 2 but PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong because I feel like ive tried some of these but it didn't work

It seems like a rare chance tho, cuz you need to get the Flyfish facing towards and is near the Slammin Lid

Anyone know which ones of these work when the baskets are closed? I know grizzco slosher does but some of these need the baskets to be open
