  • Hi all you Ford fans out there - we have been asked to make a short video explaining what we do with our hybrid upgrades for the 2011 to 2015 (REA enabled turbos) and the newer 2016 upwards (UTA enabled turbos) Ford 3.2 Ranger turbochargers from Garrett - here you go, enjoy the video.
    Points to note:-
    1) NO cheap chinese components are used in our upgrades
    2) Complete bearing and sealing system replacement with all upgrades
    3) Oil leakage test conducted at 10Bar
    4) Gas flow measurement at temperature (we are the only company able to do this)

    Great video and explanation, I watch every one of your videos because it so interesting to see how things can be done properly. Hopefully one day you guys can sort out the hybrid n54 BMW market like you have sorted the ranger and VAG ea888 platforms.

    Forgive me if you have answered this before, can anything be done to improve the 2.2 turbo?

      Thanks for the question Jason - the 2.2 is a problematic turbo from inception, in fact we wrote the initial forensic report for Garrett years ago, and confirmed that the turbochargers compressor wheel was in fact defective, hence the bursts.
      The turbo was revised and no longer made in India, and the part# changed from the original 787556-5017, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22S to the 854800 part# solving the bursting compressor wheel problem and manufactured in Cheadle in the UK.
      The issue still lies with the turbocharger in stock format being pushed hard to make the power it does, and modifying this shortens the life even more - some will argue, but we have proven this over time with three test vehicles. Leave the stock turbo and stay away from plug and play chip upgrades that overboost and abnormally increase rail pressure to aid performance.

    Hi i have a Ford Ranger wildtrak 3.2 2017 i am interested i have just done the mapping and intercooler and exhaust i get 189kw on the fly wheel i would like to to the hybrid on the turbo. I did give your office a call it seems like they are not to sure about my year 2017 mod .

      @@chichigti1989 We waiting for stock of the new cores and tank design. October/November only - id suggest you fabricate a cooler for the ranger. Use a core at least 100mm thick
