Toyota engine in a Lotus. BMW engine in a Toyota. What the hell is going on? All jokes aside. This is a sweet car and it sounds fantastic. Great camera work Steven. Your contribution to Joe's content is very underrated.
BMW engine is not a toyota engine. The supra using a BMW engine. But Lotus called up Toyota to borrow there engine when Toyota wouldn't even use there own engine in the Supra.
A very cool and special British sports car and thank you Joe for this special review. Reliable with that Toyota derived 3.5 liter V6. 🇬🇧 Sounds awesome!
Joe I know the infotainment center is a little dated but to get a drivers car that looks good and has that reliable engine from Toyota for 86k is a steal to me.
Thanks Joe for your review of your first Lotus. I look forward to when you get an opportunity to review the Emira. I love your approach to reviewing cars. You are very thorough. I think you could put a lot of car salespeople to shame. Thanks Joe.
This is my new favorite Raiti’s Ride video. Discovered him with the new Z reveal, which I loved. This car however, I think is the most bang for the buck with performance cars. Been waiting and waiting patiently for his views on this model of Lotus. Great job Joe!!
The best part of all the reviews with you is that when you behind the wheels sharing that driving experience and excitement! Keep it up and thanks for what you doing Joe! 💯
So much fun to see Joe taking this one for a spin. Excellent review! I consider myself very lucky to have a 2020 Evora GT in the same grey. Every drive is an event. Feels more connected than anything else I have ever driven!
I started waking up to cars in the 80's and this brand was one of those rare and coveted cars. Love how they partnered with Toyota to keep a solid sports car going.
@@ArabianOak Fan boy lol, come on. Porsche is just on another level, there is a reason why Porsche's hold there value and Lotus doesn't. What Lotus can you buy and flip for a profit, I'll wait...................
Had the chance to drive one of these last year. Happened to be an automatic example and the gearbox felt sluggish. But the steering and driving dynamic on canyon roads are unmatched. I hope to own a Lotus one day.
Great review Joe, looking forward for the Lotus Emira. Porsche’s are beautiful, proven and amazing for sure. But there’s something special about Lotus that makes them unique in a way. It is for sure about the driving experience, making one connect with the car and enjoyment. :)
I saw a Lotus Elise a couple months ago. it looked cool but I never realized how tiny they are in person. I can't imagine anyone over 5'5 or 120 pounds being able to get in and out of that car comfortably lol
Just think about it for a minute, Joe if the car had a transmission that shift as fast as a PDK, down pipes, and a tune, it would be a supercar killer, especially on track days😁😆
Now This...THIS is how I want my. Camry to sound!!! LISTEN TO THE EXHAUST NOTE!!! HOOOOOOLY TOLEEEEDOOOO!!! Great car by Lotus!!! Awesome review Joe!!!
It's my only beloved reason when it comes to me loving Lotus. Placing an Engine that comes from my most beloved V6 Sedan in America, the Toyota Camry V6.
Joe, this Lotus is, hmmm....how should I say this....er.....uh....well it's CUTE, but I want your E-Ray ! I'm SOLD on it. Let's see more of the E-Ray ! Anyhow nice review on this....Cheers buddy!
Awesome video. I would take this over the Porsche. I'm always drawn to a unique car. I had an MR2 Spyder when everyone had a Miata. I have a Polestar 2 when everyone has a Tesla. My problem with Porsche is any customization is an added $$. Different color, different upholstery, etc. etc.
That car could outperform a GT4 with a smaller pulley on the Supercharger and a few supporting mods that go with it. .. I wonder if one could adopt that Supercharger onto a Camary TRD V6.. Ohhh boy!
Gotta love the Evora GT. I honestly think it's truly a successor to the NA1/NA2 NSX which the Evora GT reminds me of. It's mid-engine and rear-wheel drive, just like the 1st gen NSX. Not only that, that V6 engine is what I like about the Evora GT despite the fact that this V6 was built by a Japanese brand like Toyota which Lotus uses. Even with a supercharger on this Toyota 2GR-FE V6, it has more characteristics than a Porsche Cayman when that V6 screams. But, with the Lotus Emira being the final gas-powered car by Lotus, would you take the Evora GT or Emira?
Evora GT: More horsepower, last handmade Lotus, and very limited production run less than 300 in 2000 and 2021 made for United States. If you have kids, the Evora also has back seats. The Evora is also a simpler car than the Emira with less electronics so there is less that can go wrong with it.
The Lotus Evora GT looks to be great sports car and the sound from that engine is insane. I would still have to go with the Cayman GT4 because I think that it looks better, it has a nicer interior, and it's a Porsche. You definitely can't go wrong with a Porsche, especially a GT product. For me the Porsche is the whole package, while the Lotus is only good in some key areas like handling and sound.

My Lotus has a Renault engine! ...ugh!
BMW engine is not a toyota engine. The supra using a BMW engine. But Lotus called up Toyota to borrow there engine when Toyota wouldn't even use there own engine in the Supra.
They need to hurry up and put Toyota mr2 badges on this car and change some of the materials out for cheaper ones and sell that
what an all around proper car.Bulletproof drive train, solid chassis and a tremendous look.
Perfectly said!
@@RaitisRides if only the Aisin gearbox was a little smoother!

It was freaking amazing!
Viva Puerto Rico 🎉🎉
Joe I know the infotainment center is a little dated but to get a drivers car that looks good and has that reliable engine from Toyota for 86k is a steal to me.
I will not argue with that at all Kenneth! For me I wouldn’t even listen to any music because that engine sounds so damn good!
This is the most fun I've seen on your face and smile, Joe! Awesome review and car!
Joe you put a smile on my face watching you having fun and enjoying the performance and handling of that beautiful sport car.😊
That means the world to me!
Thanks Joe for your review of your first Lotus. I look forward to when you get an opportunity to review the Emira. I love your approach to reviewing cars. You are very thorough. I think you could put a lot of car salespeople to shame. Thanks Joe.
Love the color and yellow accents. Infotainment is dated, but who needs it !!!! Thanks Joe 🤙🏼

That's the best sounding camery I've ever heard
The best part of all the reviews with you is that when you behind the wheels sharing that driving experience and excitement! Keep it up and thanks for what you doing Joe! 💯
I have no idea if it’s actually “better” than the Cayman GT4 but (aesthetically) I prefer & would purchase the Evora.
So much fun to see Joe taking this one for a spin. Excellent review! I consider myself very lucky to have a 2020 Evora GT in the same grey. Every drive is an event. Feels more connected than anything else I have ever driven!

What a car, so nice to hear a manual and that engine sound from a camry, geewiz.
See 100 Porsche a day. See zero lotus a day. Street presence, sound, old school tech. Toyota reliability. I’ll take the lotus.
You failed the test!
@@Yukon6255 what test is that? porsche fan boy test?
Toyota reliability... But lotus has touched it! Lol
@@ArabianOak Fan boy lol, come on. Porsche is just on another level, there is a reason why Porsche's hold there value and Lotus doesn't. What Lotus can you buy and flip for a profit, I'll wait...................
Lotus has always been a dream brand since I was a kid. This continues that

Man Raiti that Lotus is one special car ! 😀
You better believe it!
Joe's face racing mode trying to catch the airplane!!
Great review Joe, looking forward for the Lotus Emira.

This was mine! Traded it for the Carrera T you reviewed. Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully it goes to a good home!
Now this is freaking fantastic! What a small world! Congrats on your 911T!
Too raw?
Man..i'm sitting here smiling and turning my head around the curves!!! Great camerawork and content! Thanks
I am so glad that you could ride shotgun with me!
The engine sounds glorious! I can't believe that's coming from that Camry engine.
Thanks for taking me on this ride with you, Joe.
Man you are a great shifter best RUclipsr shifter by far wish I could take stick shift lessons with you lol
Thank you Joe and Steven for this awesome presentation for Lotus.
There is a lotus dealership near me and the new ones look so badass. The pricing is pretty good for what you’re getting.
Oh hell yeah!!!! Now that is a sports car!!!
Thank you Joe for reviewing this car for me I love you so much comment from Lou Cree
You are so very welcome Lou

I was not expecting this lotus review cool
I haven’t seen Joe laugh this much since the Elantra N review. 😉
That grey color with yellow is sweet.
Gorgeous design!! Perfect in every single way!!
Lotus gets about as much out of a Camry engine as Joe gets out of a test drive.
My oh my! That sounds menacing and feisty. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Looking forward to seeing you review the new Emira. Great review Joe.
Test me…..so am I!
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
I cannot believe that an engine that sounds that glorious came from a Camry....

It’s a super go kart
Thanks Joe. Amazing car. Very special.
Special car for sure. Are you reviewing the Emira anytime soon? Great reviews as usual.
Lotus Evora GT = ART 🎨
Just think about it for a minute, Joe if the car had a transmission that shift as fast as a PDK, down pipes, and a tune, it would be a supercar killer, especially on track days😁😆
I feel like this car company as always been underrated they make great looking cars
Now this is true statement
This drivetrain reminded me of the Shelby Series One with the supercharged Olds Aurora 4.0 V8
Car looks amazing.
You better believe it!
I absolutely love the sound coming from the exhaust of this car. Toyota, take notes for crying out loud. Do something amazing with that engine.
Lotus Evora GT:
Exterior: 2021
Interior: Time travel back to 2015
Lotuses with the supercharged V6 are my favourite performamce cars
This is a sport light car!! Doesn't need any technology, just pure driving.
This car brand was the one of my favorites besides Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Acura, and Scion.
Teddy Ruckspin and My Buddy . You’re old if you know about em. Joe is wild for that reference
Amazing review Joe.
Change that color to either red, white, or yellow with black out mirror caps, and this thing is perfect 👍
I'm going with British racing green. Black wheels.
Now This...THIS is how I want my. Camry to sound!!! LISTEN TO THE EXHAUST NOTE!!! HOOOOOOLY TOLEEEEDOOOO!!! Great car by Lotus!!! Awesome review Joe!!!
if I'm ever rich enough to have a 2nd cool toy car, this would be right up there

The sound of the engine is magical.

My God!!!! The sound ❤😂
The EMIRA is GORGEOUS. THANKS Joe.
Oh trust me I know
Still a dream, prefer Evora over Emira, it was the first lotus love

85K USD for a sports car that isn't a 911 is crazy!
LOL you’re on crack. Besides 911’s are $100k+ for any low mileage 2020-now models
Very cool, Joe!
I had a sky blue evora gt with the full carbon package and gulf livery. It was an awesome car people went crazy about it

You need one in your garage Joe.
Lotus should build the new MR2
Love your video
This Lotus Evora is cool , but the Lotus Emira is what I would go with. Thanks Raiti !! 😃👍

Yes and repairs/ parts will be more for the Porsche
brilliant review, thanks.
Joe talked about the Lotus badge without using the word "iconic"!
Yeah of course & I want to buy this car badly.
I love the sharp look.
Hey, joe I am not a big fan of lotus cars, however this car looks good, I wonder how reliable these cars really are in 3 to 5 years from now.!?!?.😅😅😅.
Well they have a Toyota engine so…..
That's old pre-2000 Lotus. Once they started using the Toyota drive trains, across the Elise, Exige, Evora and Emira....they are pretty reliable.
Love that damn sound!!!
You were racing the airplane there for a sec!
Roof would look nice carbon fiber.
Why won't GM bring back the 1988 fiero GT with a 400 HP
I can tell you a bit more fun with this one!
There was also Lotus Europa
What about the alpine?
416 hp! I was not expecting that
That supercharger doing its thing
You took me by surprise, I honestly thought Lotus no longer exists.
I’m glad. Could bring it to you!
It's Fisker who no longer exists.
They're actually producing a ton of electric SUVs that should be on the road very soon. Oh the downfall of lotus.
Beautiful vehicle
Love it!
You forgot to mention the year on your title (2021) Lotus
That is the nastiest sound to come out of the boring family sedan engine. Never knew you could get that sound out of toyota 3.5
What is the milage on this car? Thank you!
No mention of the Europa for many reasons. Those things were falling apart when they arrived at the dealerships as new stock.
Cool review
I have literally been looking at this car on autotrader 😂😂😂
I found mine in Kansas City, bringing her home later this week on a car carrier.
