Design wise - ALTROZ is the best among all competitors.. But i liked the interior of i20.
In future as per my budget in 2 year I will go altroz top model.. but it's really disappointing they stopped to make silver colour of altroz. I really wanted to pick that

When it comes to ride quality - Altroz is miles ahead of i20. You don't feel the bumps and it has a weight to it. But for driving, i20 is m miles ahead. Tata needs to sort out its gear, clutch, indicator/light switches, steering quality. Also, the Altroz needs a bigger display.
The reason I did not purchase i20 and purchase Altroz iTurbo after owning elite i20 VTVT is simply the right quality and steering.
Tata has hydraulic steering compared to electronic steering on i20 which might not be technically advanced but it is considered as drivers paradise, even at 150 km/h The steering is rocksolid.
and there is no comparison when it comes to ride quality, the suspensions on Altroz are just in a different league, it feels like you are driving a SUV, it takes all the bumps like no Car does.
But yes, the refinement should have been better and especially the gearshift experience .
Apart from that the new altroz's racer will definitely bridge the gap .

i20 is for those who choose feature over safety, Tata is our home brand and value our lives, on other hand car makers like Hyundai, Suzuki are in race to only make money that's why despite of a huge price for car like i20 they score 2 star in NCAP crash test, so we need to choose wisely because at the time of fatal accident feature is not going to save your lives but built quality of your car's and also at the time of pandemic no foreign companies stood by us except TATA, Mahindra and our own home brand, so it's time to show some respect to them instead of give biased review for Hyundai

Both are really good cars but I feel the i20 feels more luxurious than the Altroz, coz I’ve test driven both(petrol), the Altroz seems to have an issue with the clutch and the engine refinement isn’t up to the mark as well, the overall fit and finish is better in the i20.

Bro! firstly these matters don't relate to luxury. Luxury feel depends on seating comfort, how good and easy it is to get in and out, how is the ride quality, etc. etc. If you are facing any problem with the clutch, just take the matter to the service center, or any other mechanic you trust. Because I think the clutch is very decent. It's light and quick. Secondly, it has a 3 cylinder engine. And for a three cylinder engine, the NVH levels of altoroz are very impressive. And even, the sound is not irritating, but delivers a feel.
Overall, I believe that Altoroz is a much better package than i20, given the prices of both the cars.
Note- I'm not an Altoroz owner or a tata fan. I'm just stating the fact, based on my experience with both the cars.

Being a TATA fan, bit disappointed that they gave Altroz a 3cyl engine. I feel the Baleno's 1.2K series is smoothest. Suzuki makes good petrol engines but if only they improve the build quality of their cars. That's big negative for Suzuki.

Do u have any link where it says that MSI has stopped petrol engine production too? Can you please do a research who manufactures Maruti's K series gasoline powered engines?

Tata Altroz....... You won't regret going for this Car. Handling is better. It's much more spacious. No complaints in practical usage.

My experience is not that great...
There's turbo lag in Tatti Motors engine, refinement is bad, sounds like diesel and vibrations is there. Go for Hyundai. My father's old i20 Elite is far better than even Nexon also.

Best rear space is in i20 2020 as it has the largest wheelbase of 2600mm

But yes, the refinement should have been better and especially the gearshift experience .
Apart from that the new ALTROZ RACER will definitely bridge the gap so close that there won't be a match.
all said and done I still think there is no match for the Polo TSI too bad I couldn't buy one as it was discontinued and I couldn't get a manual model .

I’ve been in Tata altroz for more than 300 kms drive.....(PETROL )
Pros - 1. build quality , fit and finish excellent
2. Infotainment system and audio is great
3. Rear seat comfort
4 . Headlamps
Cons
1. Engine is not tractable
2. Petrol engine is also noisy ( all the time )
3. Gearshifts are hard and not precise
4 . Ride quality- hard , not good compared to others
5 . Front seat comfort is non existent, minimum thigh support , bad quality seat foam and fabric , poor side support

Do you have base model? Because I have driven the XZ+ model. Seats are comfortable and ride quality is also good. Its stiff, not soft like i20

@Rajdeep Gan. lol, it looks like you a newbie following rumours in the internet, there is no such thing as rattling in altroz, i have run my altroz for 1 year and one friend of mine has run his swift for 1 year too, there's a hell of a rattling in swift interior and squeaking noise in the suspension but zero rattling in altroz even though mostly runned on bad roads, you don't know anything about tata engine, you're just following myth by tin cans and boat lovers...after the update of my altroz, it sounds more smooth and pick up is good with very good lowend punch..
@Rajdeep Gan. the build quality of modern tata cars are way above those hyundie and marutin cars, even though the engine of altroz is 3 cyl, but it is refined for a 3 cyl, don't believe rumours in the internet telling you the opposite...

@@samantbsinha1384 dude accidents dont happen when you drive properly. If u go beyond 100 kmph, this will happen. If it is maruti, hyundai,tata,kia etc. or a luxury car also, i will drive safely and slowly. I own an old i20 2010 version and now its 10 years and no fatal damage has happened. Just some small scratches thats all. Seriously i m telling. Its because i drive safely. Same u also drive safe.
