I'm noticing a lot of these early 3D/early 2000s shmups have a lot of final bosses that are just weird alien geometrical shapes or orbs. Probably influenced by Evangelion.
Loved how this dovetailed nicely into the start of Rayforce I've kinda become a fan of Taitos late shumups and their stories despite how grim they were. Kinda similar feelings with Einhander Epic Music by Tamayo as always
I noticed in the description it says it’s taito’s final shooting game. I thought it was Dariusburst unless someone else developed that one and taito just licensed it out?
@iconoclast575 That was a shame since their FX-1B/PS1 shooting games were some of my absolute favourites, Raystorm,Raycrisis and G.Darius If only these series at least continued onto the NAOMI/DC

Fantastic! I need to get my runs done this weekend before the deadline ha.
Great play👍🏻
I also play with WR-03.
Sucks this game is so short ill be happy when i actually beat i die alot and when i get to a certain boss after i kill it i get the game over screen
I take it you can unlock other ships?
Nope, it's just WR-01 (the RayForce ship), WR-02 (RayStorm), and WR-03 is a hidden ship that's unique to this game.
@@iconoclast575 how do you get the WR-03?

Yep, Burst was developed by Pyramid. I believe this is the last game from Taito themselves.
