The Flite Test Master Series F-14 Tomcat has a unmatched presence with its signature outline blazing by. Overall performance is quick, floaty, and precise. Wings out, the Flite Test F-14 offers self correcting tendencies and slow graceful turns. Wings back, it performs snappy barrel rolls and performs like a giant, fast, foamboard dart. Going vertical can be achieved if given some throttle before ascent. The Flite Test F-14 becomes a gentle giant floating around at about 40% - 50% throttle. Don’t forget to add one of our livery decals sets made specifically for your F-14 to add that extra bit of realism after painting.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is an American carrier-capable supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, twin-tail, variable-sweep wing fighter aircraft. The Tomcat was developed for the United States Navy's Naval Fighter Experimental (VFX) program after the collapse of the General Dynamics-Grumman F-111B project. The F-14 was the first of the American Teen Series fighters, which were designed incorporating air combat experience against MiG fighters during the Vietnam War. The F-14 first flew on December 21, 1970 and was deployed on September 22, 1974. AIl would be retired the very same day in 2006. During its 32 years of service, the F-14 would serve as the U.S. Navy's primary maritime air superiority fighter, fleet defense interceptor, and tactical aerial reconnaissance platform. The Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night (LANTIRN) pod system was added in the 1990s and the Tomcat began performing precision ground-attack missions.
In the 1980s, F-14s were used as land-based interceptors by the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force during the Iran-Iraq War. Iran claimed their F-14s shot down at least 160 Iraqi aircraft during the war with only 16 Tomcats being lost. The Tomcat was supplanted by the Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. Several retired F-14s have been put on display across the US. The F-14 remains in service with Iran's air force.

So many people: "Wayne needs to start with an easier build, these "master series" kits are too hard".

Looking great so far! How much modification did you have to do for the 90s
