I myself LOVE good sounding system! Of course factory is already good, but IT CAN SOUND BETTER! I wish I'll be able to hear this sound system before I pull the trigger on this setup. I also want to upgrade my suspension and wheels😏
Wait..??? You said at 6:10 ‘Tesla did get rid of a hard drive you can put music on’..??? What the..is that on the new Tesla models .??? I have a 2022 MYP and I listen to 24bit audio straight from the hard drive 90% of the time.! I’m also wondering if that’s why you didn’t mention that for source material as it’s clearly the best way to go..!!??!! Many of my song files are 24-192k (much better than your typical CD sound)
I am personally disappointed in my 2021 M3 sound system, like yeah its clear and crisp but the mid and the lows are just not there. Even after leaving the back seat down to hear the sub, but I always turn it too loud to compensate. A good system you don't need a ton of volume.
I've found the mids very lacking and highs overpowering. You basically can't hear the midd at all until the highs get to uncomfortable listening level. This is why I ended up watching these videos
I enjoyed changing my audio system for my Honda, it’s different like I don’t really care for listening to music at my home, but 100% of the time I’m listening to music when I’m driving so why not get a nice upgrade
@johnnguyen6274 My brother had to upgrade the audio in his Honda Accord, and that definitely makes sense. It's pointless upgrading the audio in the Model Y when it's already so good
@@Wankidy no stock audio is great, they’re good but if you’re experienced with really really good audio you can hear the Imperfections. I drive a Tesla model 3 2024 now the audio is fantastic, it’s got subs too, so much deeper bass than my Honda, but I would still have to say my Honda audio was better, it was much much more crisp and clear
I have a new MY and think the stock audio is garbage compared to my home audio system and any aftermarket system I have had in my other cars. People that say the sound is great have never heard a great audio system or are hearing impaired.
@@bigadventure3797 1000% that’s what I’m saying my after market audio in my Honda is significantly better, I can see how people would think the tesla audio system is great though, but as an experienced audio person you can hear the imperfections, the tesla audio is super distorted
Can the tune from Hepa be viewed and edited with your own copy saved? Curious why it can't play music from the car when your tying in via harness to the car.
I found you from the Y hitch install!! Subscribed!! You are such a great content creator for the Tesla community!
Just ordered a new Model Y. Definitely will revisit this after hearing the stock audio for awhile. Thank you!
Welcome back, Wally.

I put my Jacking Pucks, Tesla Air Compressor, Tesla Portable Charger and Charger Adapters in the area where you installed your amp.
THX BRIAN 🤗 I am all about the sound… but the budget strains me😅💚💚💚

Can’t fathom needing anymore good sounds in my MSP than it has.
You can still plug in a USB drive in the glovebox and have music locally stored on it. Tesla did not get rid of this.
You just need to partition your drive
Buy a USB hub and just plug in your Music USB along with the Tesla Dashcam USB. From music source, just select your USB that has MP3 on it.
the updated model Y has only 7 speakers no Sub..can you still add alpine speakers even though there are less speakers?
Looking for the answer to this as well. I was rather bummed to find this out after I took ownership of my 2025 MYLR RWD 😢
@@snapsbyreyes Speakers are there, just not activated/connected. there is a kit for it(atleast model 3)
Could you please make a video on how to do this? I have a model S 2020
Will you buy the car when the lease is up? Given that Tesla now offers that.
any suggestions on the rattling? This is my biggest issue!
Why will I ever want to spend more to upgrade my Model Y sound system? It's already so good. I would rather upgrade my home audio. LOL

Anything for the CT yet out on the market for all speaker replacement?
I wonder how that would sound in the model 3 highland
Alpine stays their kit doesn’t work for Model Y 23 and up so it only works with older models.
Hi 👋
Cool story, why wouldn't I just buy the whole kit that alpine sells, a lot cleaner and probably a lot more cohesive.
Tesla and an iphone......... man you dont know 1 thing aboud tech......
Wow!! The worst installation video I ever skipped through!! This guy loves to hear himself talk.
