The Real Issue With GR Corolla Transmissions (Sooo Expensive.....)

That actually explains why 5th gear feels so strange to shift into. I've never mis-shifted my car, never done anything that would damage the transmission, and yet.. The 5th gear shift always feels kind of like I'm shifting through a wet bundle of twigs lol.

Mine was jumping out of 2nd gear , got it fixed , Toyota paid all costs luckily and fitted the updated input shaft

According to Neat Gearboxes, the issue isn't just with the OEM hub. "The OEM material and design of the synchro and key groove are both causing issues. The only solution that we can come up with is to redesign the synchro assembly to prevent the accelerated wear from occurring. " Sam Charlick - Neat Gearboxes.

Bummer these transmissions dont live up to the legacy that was the Celica GT4. Those transmissions were obscenely strong. Also wish it has real AWD...
