I've learned after a few years of design that you can justify basically anything you want with "I just aligned it to the grid, and then aplied some slight visual corrections". Since that's literally a very fancy way of saying this is not really aligned to anything and you just did what you wanted to do without a particular idea in mind Edit: Typos

I have passed the pixel paranoia by using a certain integer multiple of 10 from the bottom, so it's easy to determine if the button should be 20 pixels from the bottom or 30 or 40 pixels.
This video's humor reminds me of the hitchicker guide to the galaxy. Also IMO it should be at least 2h long and was hilarious from a developer perspective lols
The cinematic shot of the Old School Developer @1:25 us just so hilarious! His reaction to the failed user interface activity is priceless! Well done! First time watcher, brand new subscriber! 👏👏👏
And then the UX designer comes up with something so impractical that even with hours of going through the documentation of a thousand different frameworks, you could'nt get it to work.
That's why working with UX designers who actually knows the front-end is amazing. But if they're pure designers, they should obviously communicate better.
in my workplace, it might be 'hard' to that things happen, because for every UX design I release, once approved then it will be translated into UI and CSS by... me lol.
Not at that level. If your title is UX designer you shouldn't have time to trifle with that kind of detail, it isn't your responsibility. If you are doing that kind of work, and UX design work, you are actually a UX/UI Designer, and are doing the work of two or more jobs, depending on how granular you want to get (Interaction Design, UX Design, UX Research, Visual Design).
Concur, I think thats a visual designer habit that needs to stay with visual designers. Personally, I think it's an expectation that sprouted from companies for UX designers to be pixel perfect because they are misinformed about what UX really is. Anytime I see UX in anyones title I expect function first, design second. But all these terms describing UX professionals are all so subjective who even knows!
Pixel paranoia is a real thing
Agreed!
graphic designer problems too :(
I laughed at that, I get that All the time :) :)

there is time that i was summoned to the meeting just to defend myself on why i shift that button 2px to the left.
UX is fun.
So kou transfered from game design to ux design. How are you doing there in france?

"Why they display this sort of behaviour, no one knows". David Attenborough 100%
This feels like a personal attack.
Too real
this is truly one of the best things i've seen on youtube. MASTERPIECE! that Sir David Attemborough allusion lifts this video to highly unexpected levels!
Please do one for DevOps/ Sysadmins.. That'd be so hilarious..
Yes!!!
definitely
Man the background voice reminds me of NGC/BBC animal documentaries
It's a spoof on those doccies, along with the narrator's voice look out for references to habitat, specimen, behaviour, display, rituals, etc
Sounds like David Attenborough narrating Planet Earth xD (On a side note, Planet Earth 2 is just breathtaking)
...that's the joke.
Charles M It’s just cringe that they didn’t get the joke...
That's literally the joke, it's supposed to be David Attenborough
At the last...
Developer: CSS is awesome 😂😂😂
That mug "CSS is awesome" is really awesome 😂😂
This is amazing! Whoever worked on the script (and also other aspects of the video) are pure evil(genius)! :D

Loved this! As a designer can relate to this so much.
Far than the best.
Still waiting for more videos from the channel.
This never gets old. Thanks guys!

This was hilarious! good use of AI in the voice. Had fun with this.
Please make more of these mysterious life series 😂🤗 and also one for UI designers.
LMAO!!! This literally made my day. Thank you for the laughs Kantega AS

I can relate to this way too well. Mainly since lately my programming job more shifted to a ux design job
Well shot. Well thought out. Great comedy UX.
This channel is gold
I could watch this all day :)
I want all those Mugs :)
This was hysterical and so spot on. Thanks for posting this.
Yep, Pixel Paranoia. Especially those elements which have float number such as 10,5 pixel. Good luck centering in on it's container. Fukn frustrating.

ngl, the "CSS IS AWESOME" cup at the end got me real hard 🤣
Pleaaaaasem a video on UI Designers 😂
That horse drawing was phenomenal
How developers looked at them 😂😂😂

Yup, yes, uhuh- did I say yes? 🙃
Well, UXers should talk to developers from the early stages to avoid this.
That's why working with UX designers who actually knows the front-end is amazing. But if they're pure designers, they should obviously communicate better.
As a front end dev I’m looking into taking a course then building a portfolio to become a UX designer, maybe I can spare some headache…I hope

So David Attenborough guys. Well done.
Rofl comic sans 😂 lolol if they had the meeting with clients where they say make it pop or no budget for testing this is basically my daily life 🤣
Så sykt morsomt! Konge video! :D
It looks like that UX designer is actually a visual designer if he is trifling with pixel-difference placement on a highfi mock.
not really? .... "visual design" is part of UX Design.. its our responsibility as well... (depending on the scale of the company)

I love his mug.
thank you, coz i always wondered what these "office" ppl. do?
I know that's the intention, but I love how the narrator describes action as if it was an Animal Planet documentary.
Very deep voice, I like it.
This is brilliant, specially the ending..
Their faces so tired from looking at the screen ...
This could very well be the next David Attenborough documentary
I'd seriously want to work here! I'm just in your former metropolitan state 😅

That was sooo good, it makes me want more UX videos XD
This videos are so real!
