I am 100% convinced that this is a feature, not a bug. That all these glitches people are finding were baked in by ILCA to make the game more authentic.
They just copied and pasted the background code from diamond and pearl. Unless I’m misunderstanding what you’re saying

In the Scary mansion forgot its name you can run next to the railing in the first room until you encounter a battle. after the battle is over ur inside the railing and can glitch out too

They really brought everything back even the glitches
This glitch was the sole reason i fought anyone that said the step counter was worthless
When they marketing it as faithful remake, they really mean it. The first major step is straight copy paste the code from DP without knowing what happened..
I did the strength menu glitch and found that if you go to your trainer card while able to walk around in the menu, then walk somewhere you can surf while still in your trainer card, then surf until you bump a wall and press b once to get out of your trainer card after bumping a wall, then open the save menu, then surf to the edge of the water and land you can walk on, and push save as you are jumping onto land and ending the surf, then restart the game, you will be surfing on land, able to surf over people, and if you save as you start to clip through stairs you will float higher and higher. The higher you surf, the more you can jump over. If you surf over water, you will dismount and it can freeze the game, so only surf over obstacles and land or in the void. If you run out of loaded routes, you can save and restart. You will still be surfing, but be back to ground level. I got to new moon and crescent moon islands that way by doing this in the cave east of jubilife. Then I went through the void to canalave city. Since I didn't go through the "doorway" to get to the islands on the boat or the strange house, there was no way to catch a pokemon there. I was just over the terrain. Eventually I ran through the void to the west until I jumped to the east side of the map at Stark mountain. From there I went down and I could fly. Now i have the islands and spring path on my map. Shaymin is possible to get this way. But darkrai is the one i was wanting... lol

If u keep on surfing on the water near the bicycle lane and keep getting off and keep surfing you will start gaining some height
If you catch darkrai and shaming that way, what happens when GF eventually releases the necessary items for these two pokemon and we get to them legit. Are their areas empty or will they respawn?
they just wont be there when you get to those islands, same as the void glitch in the originals

Don't let them patch this. Tweaking is the only thing that could make me buy these games. Glitches in the originals were so much fun.
using the shaymin glitch i got to newmoon island, but the orginal layout is still there, meaning theirs a boat preventing us from getting ON newmoon, perhaps using the old rod movement bug would work? ur able to swim around newmoon via the shaymin glitch
after further investigation, the island itself prevents you from getting on it

Is it possible to use this to get shaymin if you already fought the trainer that triggers the surf glitch?
Yes! If you look in the comment section of Blaines Shaymin glitch video, there's a comment from Timo Schmalz that explains a way to do it from route 222!

I am having a hard time doing the glitch and is wondering if you were using slow-bike mode or fast-bike mode. I am using slow-bike mode and without any results, so do I need to use fast-bike mode?

I can’t get out of the area. It’s blocked off. Don’t think you can get to out. Why do you think he didn’t show results of getting to Shaymin. I pulled it off and your not able to leave the blocked area

You could try saving and resetting to load more of the map at the spots in the voided section where y can go no further.
I was able to get out of bounds in this spot pretty easily after a minute or so however I wasn’t able to find anything useful
Oh my god I wont lie. I'm looking forward to using this glitch because I never did it in Pearl. While is not okay that they somehow didn't fix it I want to try it out

@@Dantevi0us They were attained through event items basically. Oak's letter for Shaymin and the Member's pass for Darkrai. These Items would allow you access to their respective areas to catch them.

Also, there's a bit of misinformation in the video. You can't get shaymin like this because there's a ton of barriers, you can also fly out of it of you have fly in the tech application

You keep saying Darkrai is locked out of the game but there are multiple videos of people legitimately acquiring Darkrai on New Moon Island. Just because you havent figured it out doesnt mean its locked out of the game...

@@puglover9990 No you don't "edit script" there's no modding going on or anything
Darkrai and Shaymin both have events in the game, the only thing stopping you from getting it is the requirement of an item you can't find currently, the item of which in Darkrais case is already in the game
You just have to edit your inventory with the right item and boom, that's all you have to do to get Darkrai (legit at least)
If you don't care about legitimacy you can also just use glitches to get into Shaymin and Darkrais areas on the map and catch them
And you can see these glitches in motion on Blains channel and try them at home

No you can't, there's barriers that prevent you from going further along the map
I hope when they patch this that it won't be a forced software update and that you'll still be able to play the game without it
