Mitch Hedberg, just because you can't afford the Renewal by Andersen window system doesn't mean your getting ripped off, did you notice the price book the rep used to price your windows??? That's called set prices

Ripped off is an individual perception

Grande1124 correct on avg it’s about 2k per window and you can use slang all you want but wood which it is 40% of cost a lot more than vinyl by itself not to mention the process/investment it takes to produce the product. Vinyl isn’t a bad insulator but by itself it does have a long term stability problem which turns into a durability issue. This is the reason the Fibrex exists in the first place, to give all the look and long term durability of the actual wood window. Renewal by Andersen isn’t going to you be for everyone but it’s an over 2.4 billion dollar business nationwide and growing at an astonishing rate so something is being done right and it’s not just the salesman driving this, consumers play the biggest role

Grande1124 Also very true but the product in a face to face comparison is of very obvious higher quality materials and function. The price debate is just that justifying the value or not, again it’s not going to be in everyone’s home and Andersen is aware of this. What I paid for my car may be more or less than you’d be willing to pay if you wanted the same car

@Grande1124 ok, please tell me which windows are a higher quality for less?, I probably should have bought those, maybe for the next few I have

Grande1124 besides agreeing or disagreeing on the quality of any window product finding someone who you honestly trust to do the install is every bit as important if not even more. The quality of the product is only as good as your install. I agree the Andersen Woodright is the best you listed there, I see Marvin failures all the time or customers who’ve had both and love the Andersen’s more. The vinyl just isn’t an option you should be looking at all unless you have some rental house you’re trying to flip or might be selling your own house in the next 6 months.

Renewal by Anderson is a scam that has no set prices. They charge as much as the salesman can rip people off for.
They have windows made by Anderson but have no other affiliation with them, they are much lower quality than regular Anderson windows.

Hi-thanks for commenting! I hope we can clear up some of your concerns. Renewal by Andersen is the full-service, custom window replacement division of Andersen Corporation. As we are a custom company, each and every job we handle is different, from the size, shape, and aesthetics of the windows to the installation and prep work required. If you would like to set up a design consultation, we can absolutely walk through your particulars and provide you with an estimate.
As for our affiliations, we are, as I mentioned, the full-service window replacement division of our parent company: Andersen Corporation. Renewal by Andersen windows are made in the Renewal by Andersen manufacturing facility in Cottage Grove, MN-just a few miles downriver from where the Andersen Company got its start (and Andersen Windows still is). Our products carry the AW watermark, and our windows are made from Andersen's exclusive composite Fibrex® material.
I hope this has alleviated some of your concerns-at least in regard to replacement window solutions. Should your needs change, please don’t hesitate to contact us to set up an appointment.

I am a sales person for Renewal by Andersen and there is no way for me to make price adjustments to your project (even if I wanted to). In fact, in my employee agreement, there is an addendum that says if I overcharge my customers I will be terminated. So, where did you come up with this assumption? Who hurt you?
