    I have tried several methods to tape my foot. This method has given me instant relief! I have been in pain for months and this makes it bearable to walk. This is the only thing that has helped. Thank you!

    Thank you so much Dr Kristie for helping me relieve pain from my Plantar Fasciitis. I've watched many of your videos and they have helped in many conditions I never knew I had so bad.
    I am both a fan and a patient. lol Thank you so much for what you do especially for those of us on a low budget who really can't afford a doctor. You are a life saver and really pretty too.

    Brilliant video tutorial. I had plantar fasciitis for a long time and ended up having my feet taped regularly, it makes a huge difference and well worth learning to do it yourself. Thank you for all your videos they are so useful & informative, I'm learning so much from them!❤️

    Thank you for this posting. I will forever have plantar fasciitis issues because one of my legs is longer than the other. I have started taking walks more but recently had to stop because of heel pain triggered by plantar fasciitis. Taping will help until I get proper walking shoes. The video on how to relieve plantar fasciitis pain was super helpful as well. I have gotten lazy at stretching pre-and post-walking.

    • @drkristieennis
      @drkristieennis  3 года назад

      Oh I hope you are able to continue walking! Does a heel lift help at all?

    • @creepyb703

      I am in the same position. Just here rooting you on. It’s very upsetting. I switched to a zero drop shoe that is flexible but cushioned by Altra and it did help the plantar’s fasciitis completely in one foot and totally eliminated the body pain I was experiencing - however my left foot continues to present with plantar’s fasciitis which was terrible last night when I got back from a 4 mile walk - it seems random as well - in terms of being triggered and intensity which I attribute to how sufficient I stretched piror to exercise. I feel I can walk more if this would stop but last night I was limping around so much that I was afraid I’d fall down. I had actually been OK when I got home - with some pain but then as I was sitting the stiffness set in with the pain and it was awful. I am going to try the taping ok that foot to see if it helps. I tried a night brace but Iaet night it was too painful to wear. I will try that again. The Alatra sneakers do have a wide toe box. Not sure if that is part of your concerns. With me - I definitely can’t have she is where my toes cannot splay.
      I also have a mild small bunion on the foot that is still giving me trouble. What’s odd is that this foot was not troubling me with some other shoes - but as I said I had other problems through my body with those . I feel I might need arch support and that I definitely need the muscles to remain stretched on the left foot because when I come in from a walk my calves feel very stiff. I hope you resolved your issues. If you can’t walk outside there are other exercises but as for me I really love waking outside it’s my favorite exercise and I truly wish I could find a solution. I also lift weights to break up the days between walking and because weight lifting is very good for weight control and strength building - it has given me confidence and showed me I can remain active even with limitations - peace to you and good luck

    I got rid of my plantar fasciitis by... barefoot running. It started an obsession. Went from never running ever to running over 1,000 miles in a single year. 500 of those miles were completely barefoot. Never got PF ever again.

    Thank you very much. This taping technique is helping a lot. Podiatrist that I consulted basically just sold me some arch support pads and she wasn't interested in giving any other advise.
    A question. Is the purpose of the long tape (the one that loops from pinky toe to other side) basically to simulate function of fascia tissue perhaps ? Kind of having another tissue (tape) running & stretching in same direction gives additional support?

    Hey Dr. Ennis,
    I have a question to ask!
    The other day I was stepping down from the back bumper of my pickup truck. I had my right foot on the bumper and while lowering myself down i heard a pop and pain on the inside of my arch and it hurts on the outside of my foot!
    I have not been to the doctor yet; but noticed that when I tried light stretching yesterday it felt better!
    My question is do you think it might be a tear in the plantar tendon? If so, any therapy suggestions?
    Thanks for your help.
    Blessings to you and your family,
    Kevin Barron

    Does this work for the pain directly in the heel? It seems like it wouldn't stretch that part of the foot out, but more so for the ball and arch of the foot?

    • @drkristieennis
      @drkristieennis  3 года назад

      It does help the heel because this is where the fascia attaches. The heel is typically uncomfortable because of the tightness in the fascia itself. See if this video helps too:)

      The plantar fascia attaches on the inside of the heel but stretches to the ball of the foot. It’s usually this whole structure that needs to move properly and achieve blood flow to feel better; just like Achilles tendon issues typically come from the calf muscles.
