Hi Tom. Thanks for this tutorial showing how to use the mask which is quite a mystery still for me. I have Rebelle 6 pro for a few weeks now and spent a lot of time watching videos. I did not dare actually use it as I'm fearing a disaster... But, Hey, you are giving me confidence to start painting right tomorrow ! Keep doing your tutorials. You show us the way to successful paintings. By the way, this watercolor painting of the keys is very realistic, yet with watercolor features. GREAT SHOT !

Tom i have been all over and looked at many brushes and find bits and pieces within the rebelle default shapes and grains folder. However on several when I look at the brush I do not see the parts so i am assuming that these are internal parts only to the brush you are looking at and that there isnt any way to reuse those parts for a new brush. I made a stencil and then a brush and then used both at the same time and found out the stencil on default open was the 750 max size of the brush. This could lend itself to some creative uses maybe.
Hey Mark, I am not sure my self where some of the brush shapes are stored. I think it is so you can always recall your default brushes. (No accidental deletion of the shapes.) From the Main Menu under the Help drop down > Show Library Folders is a great place to start. I always keep my own brushes in their own folders within a Custom main folder. This is just so I can compare what I have and what I may need. I am sure Escape Motions Support could help you on this one. If you find them I would leave the default brushes where they are then copy them over to an experimental folder. Tom G.
Hello. Have you ever printed a finished water color painting from Rebelle? I'd like to do one for friends but not sure how the digital version compares to a print. If so, any suggestions on what kind of paper to use?
Hi @Hebrews_412_KJV I only print my own large photos on canvas rather than my own artwork. With my watercolor paintings I frame and mat the originals vs an "open edition" digitally printed copy. So I never tried to print one of my own watercolors. Unfortunately the galleries I deal with do not look at a digitally printed painting as a marketable piece of art. By the way even photography is looked at by some as "disposable art". If you get tired of it, pitch it and try a new one. LOL However if you are interested in getting one of your WC paintings printed it may depend on the finished look you want. If it is a more tradition watercolor look then consider a white watercolor type paper to print it on. If your painting is a vignette type of painting where the color does not make it to the edge then save as a transparent PNG. In other words remove/hide the digital paper and let the printed surface become the paper. This will all depend on what printing company you get to do your printing and what type of surfaces they have to offer. To follow up more about this read the fourth comment down on the link below. I think a digital watercolor would print more like a real watercolor given how the ink droplets would lay on the paper compared to an actual watercolor.
