Why don't you talk to Angel about the culture of mistreatment and abuse of foreign domestic workers in Hong Kong. ops I guess Chinese don't want to talk about that
Big like for tourist guide Angel!! Super!! She is so friendly, while keeping polite and efficience. She brings tourist into HK pace and culture, so they are not just being treated as tourist
So enjoy to watch the video. Angel is great on the introduction. The food. The Neon Light. The wet market. They are the local signatures. I would love to search and taste the restaurants in the video. By the way,,,,, WELCOME to HK !!
Oh my god, Angel! It's me! Rachel who you toured back in November 2023 thru withlocals! So glad to see you here! I just sub'ed you! You should start your own channel! I am going to hk in July! Will contact you ❤ Great video! 🎉
oh~ thanks for bring me back to HK!!!! The shop you bought the wife cake... they sell new year specials before CNY and I would pay a visit every year before CNY.
i born in HK and live there 28 years , the food that you try in this video are exactly what i had in those years. very traditional food. i want to point out that most of those food are carbohydrate ,just to fill up the stomach but not healthy. Most of the HK people save their hard-working money for their children, education ..
I enjoyed this video so much. Hong Kong is a place I have always wanted to visit and now I want to visit even more. Angel did a fantastic job taking you around. Always good to experience things like a local instead of the usual touristy things.
Glad you enjoyed it Simon! HK was high up on our list and it didn’t disappoint 😍 You won't find such an atmosphere anywhere else! We’re actually already looking forward to coming back because even if we spend couple of days in the city, there’s plenty of things to do around too and the food is just 🙏🏼🇭🇰
Jay, it’s lucky it seems that you are not allergic to peanuts ( and a lot of other ingredients in Cantonese food) so you didn’t miss those delicious Cantonese dishes and desert made with peanuts (there is NO such habit for restaurants/street food shops in HK to ask if you are allergic to something). Also, I am lucky that I didn’t miss this video because I really enjoy the way how Angel showed Karolina and Jay around in HK (HK government should hire Angel as a consultant on how to promote the local tour business in HK!). Angel did such a great job to show first time tourist to HK with rich information and I realized Karolina and Jay found it interesting to have such a different view of HK introduced by Angel. This is something tourists expected from local tour guides, isn’t it?
We love to try new things and experience the local culture just like the residents do so it was a pleasure to be taken around the most authentic places! :)
The owner of the dai pai dong said you were very handsome and he's not wrong. 🥰 Great video. My family are from HK and one of the things I love most about going back there is the amazing food. I'm going to HK later this month for my sister's wedding and I literally can't wait for all the street food! If I have enough time I might even show my face at the wedding banquet! Haha x
Apparently you are still in HK and having fun. You should try hiking the Lion’s Rock. That mountain overlooking Kowloon. Beautiful view from there on Kowloon and the New Territories. I hiked it last week and enjoyed it.😊
@@JayandKarolina 33:10 He knows her. It's not that she was your wife so much as is HE your husband. Not everything is man first. She can say "yes" to your question to avoid controversy.
It was 100% the best one I've had in HK 😍 We've already talked about it that as soon as we return this Kam Wah cafe will be the first place we visit haha

A great street food tour. Your gudie was very good. The food looks and tastes so good. We have been to Hong Kong 3 times. You never have a enough time to see it all. Great job guys 👍👍 Sending you much love❤❤ from Jim and Harriet
Oh, wow! 3 times!!! You must have had such a great time 😍 We’ve been actually talking the other day that we would need to come back soon as there’s still so many things to do and try! And we enjoyed our visit too!!! 🙏🏼🇭🇰

The tofu dessert you eat at the end of the video is sweet, you had the same tofu dessert in Beijing but with salty flavor, the north prefers salty flavor, the south prefers sweet flavor

@@JayandKarolina My grandparents live in that area and they will take me over to eat it so its definitely well know amongst locals! Really glad that you guys got to enjoy it!
Jay, bring Karolina to London next time to try Yumacha. They served Asian fusion dishes but in tapas size. First time I tried was in Mumbai India and it is soo good and when in London, I went as well and never disappointing.
It is the top-tier food in their price range and category. I can proudly say this as a Hong Konger. I will specifically go to buy this good food. Sadly they are fading out as they are mostly handmade and the rent and wages are sky rocket.
Didn't you have pineapple bun with butter the other day? Why had that again? I would recommend pineapple bun with spam and egg or pineapple bun with satay beef, they are comfort food to me😊 While peanut mochi is more common, pistachio mochi tastes better.
Traditional “茶楼“ would not be “caught dead” to give tea bags…even in the U.S. where I live, all Cantonese “茶楼” still put real, dried “tea leaves” in tea pots (along, of course, with plaint hot water)!! (Btw: I grew up and lived in Hong Kong for almost 20 years before immigrating to the U.S.)
