As you can imagine, it wasn't easy!:)) xx June
@@JuneEsWorld Living in Holland, as a teenager in the 1970s, I just loved it that cool girls like you and your sister, girls I could identify with, were making it in rock music. Very empowering, and great music on top of it all. Back then I never realized how hard it must have been for the band, to be respected as "playing like a girl".
You not only play like a girl, you play like Godesses !!! ( Does that word exists ? A big hug from argentina!)
I L❤️VE F💚A🧡N💙N💛Y💜 and it’s never too late as long as you do what you love: “Your MUSIC” 🙏🤗😘👏👍👌🎸🎤🥁🎹❤️☮️🍀
the millington sisters are rock legends bout time the world recognises. RESPECT SISTERS.
Hey girls, give Clapton a call on get on the next Crossroads concert. You rightfully belong on that stage.
Yes that must happen!
Millington is a rare name - I’m a Millington from the UK 🇬🇧. There aren’t many of us left. X
The Best girl band ever ! Play better than most boy bands ! My dream is to “ Play like a Girl “ Yea !
OMG - it is SOOOO good to hear you playing again - and just as good as ever! I saw you live when you were touring England all those years ago.
So happy to hear from you, Iain, thank you! xx
June, I’m 60 years old and seriously love you and your music! I think it is so great your work with empowering all these young girls too. Such a great role model! 👍🙏❤️.
I was Class of '77 and Into all sorts of music, especially Rock-n-Roll...
So why have I not heard of these lady pioneers of rock until just recently..?!
I feel cheated...
I just discovered your band 2 days ago and I've been listening to your all songs uploaded here on RUclips. I'm a 29 year old new fan! Thanks for your music. You girls were ahead of their time! You deserve the fame now in the modern world as people finally caught up your greatness!
Yes indeed, thank you. xx
Ok so Navy dad met mom in the Philippines. That’s awesome! What a great journey you continue to have! Love and respect! 🎸👌🏼
How can I have never heard of you (and listen to you) until yesterday?!
I'm 45 and I listen so much american muaic from the 60s and 70s. I can't believe it.
Love it! It's great to see June and Jean still rocking and sounding a hell of a lot more interesting
than the majority of music acts foisted on us these days.
Thank you Mitch! We also have a cd, "Play Like a Girl," and if you're ever interested in my autobiography "Land of a Thousand Bridges" n.pr/1MXhmm8 then it's available through IMA, which supports women and girls in music: www.ima.org/help-out/merchandise/ It really gets into the music, and how we ever did it at all. I'm also a Filipina-American musician, and I have never heard of Fanny until today. I am so blown away. I am 49, and looking to start a new band, after leaving my band of 20 years in 2009. I've only played a few gigs since then, but I also do lighting and sound for local events in my town, particularly working with youth bands in my area.
Look for the Millington sisters and rock the world, girl.

38 years old & sooooo glad to discover you all
I was lucky enough to see several shows with these amazing ladies in Hollywood - The Whiskey a couple of times and at The Starwood when June wasn't playing. Wasn't the same without her. I own every album from release and also bought the CD set. This band kicked ass and could play with any and every body! They need to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!!
How the hell doesn't everybody know about Fanny??? I just found them today and can't get enough. I feel like I wasted years not knowing them
Hi there June,
I’m so glad I recently discovered your great music but sad and embarrassed I never knew about Fanny. You were an awesome group that somehow I missed. Being a fan of the Donna’s and Bangles, I imagine what influence you would have had on those girls. Lets hope your legacy is just a slow burn…getting brighter year by year. All the best. Thanks for the music.
I enjoyed this, Glad I found it.
I hope that in 2021 you are still somewhat active and sharing your knowledge and wisdom with the little children . Forever a fan .
Greatest all girl rock band period. Glad you got the recognition you deserved
How have I never heard of this band before? So glad it was in my recommendations.
So glad too! June
Their was THE LIVERBIRDS the first all girl rock band from ENGLAND in the 1960s They toured all over ENGLAND AND EUROPE and released albums and singles, everyone will like them
Millington sisters and Fanny - totally kickass!! The slide guitar sound is probably one of the all time best! So happy to see this! ❤️❤️❤️
Well thank you! Hey, did you know I wrote an autobiography? n.pr/1MXhmm8 I talk a lot about Lowell George, who really passed along that slide sound and technique to me. Available through IMA, which supports women and girls in music www.ima.org/help-out/merchandise/ Thanks for your note! June
Increíbibly tallented group! What happened to the promoters in those days? Were these girls ahead of their time? I don't get it...
WOW! Now this is what we want to be when we grow up....
Proud pinoy🤘🏻🎸🇵🇭💕
Thank you, June Millington. I have no idea how I missed y'alls band, but I love how y'all rocked!

I absolutely love you and your girls music from "fanny" June. Love from an Aussie fan from Down Under.
I was introduced to y'all last night via RUclips and I am so pissed that at almost 60, I missed out on your great music. I am definitely going to make up for it. Absolutely kick ass!

I turn 60 this month and have been a musician for 40 years and just found you guys last night! Where have I been?@@JuneEsWorld
All of a sudden there is a huge resurgence of Fanny music and videos all over the place. Like a whole bunch of other people commenting here and in other Fanny RUclips threads recently, I am 60, have been playing music since elementary school, as a young adult professionally toured with major musical acts, and here comes Fanny in my life after all these years! June, you and the group have been the best kept secret for a long time; I and many others are glad you are getting the recognition you have deserved for a long time now. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jean. I for one will continue to explore and enjoy your wonderful music!
VERY COOL! I turned onto Fanny in 1971 at the age of eight. It was on Sonny and Cher.
I must be experiencing the Mandela effect because you guys slipped right past my radar....awesome stuff!
Keep on rockin' ladies!! And come jam with us in Chicago!
You ladies kill it! I love you and your wonderful music!!!
Thank you Michael! hey june and jean millington! gotta be time for a fanny reunion tour/album dontcha think??!!
You were not only good, you were VERY, VERY GOOD!
Thank you June and Jean for keeping true rock alive !! Greetings from Argentina !!!
Fanny is my favorite new Band!!!!
Shockingly embarrassed to say that I only just discovered Fanny a month ago with that late 71’ beat club show. Criminal you’re not a staple on classic rock radio as you certainly should be. Well, you’re my new old favourite band! Hope more live stuff is released!
I literally just found the video of you guys playing in front of the blue screen in 1971 and I cannot believe that I was around and that I never heard of you before until last week. I have shared that video with everyone that I know on Facebook and many of them are in the music business in one form or another and all of them have expressed regret that we missed you all.
Thank you so much. Well, we totally did it 24/7, and if you are ever interested in my autobiography "Land of a Thousand Bridges" n.pr/1MXhmm8 then it's available through IMA, which supports women and girls in music: www.ima.org/help-out/merchandise/ Appreciate the note! June

That's the one I discovered them on as well. I'm glad to see the overall quality of that video, held up as good as it did. If you haven't already seen it, check out the one they did for French TV. I hope more of their live material emerges. Who knows, maybe June or someone else has some stashed, Watching Nickey Barclay work the keys has motivated me to resume something I started years ago, but was pulled away from.
Killer song!
You ladies are absolutely fantastic.
I'm an italian guy, i'm 22. Glad to discover this Amazing band. I was born in the wrong era. Btw you still beautiful ❤🎶❤
Absolutely incredible!!! You are such a mentor, June!!
women bring a certain subtleness and precision to rock music . love it.
saw Fanny in Bristol, sometime in late 74. I don't even remember who the headline act was. Fanny were so good they blew them away..
Well, love that comment. Bristol! I kinda remember that, think I wrote my mom from there ... They stayed young, fantastic, I love them! The two chicks are my age group, I was born in 1949 and I was also a musician between 1968-1984.
Thanks for the love! Jean and I also did an album called "Play Like a Girl." June (p.s. I was born in '48:))
I bought Fanny Hill in 1972, it sadly disappeared many years ago. However at a record fair in York UK where I live, I found it again two years ago. £10 well spent, and it is played on my 1970's Pioneer Hi Fi system. You were in a great band June. X
Great at what you do and great role models too.
Wow, this is so amazing! I'm almost 49, and just found Fanny tonight.
So glad I found you and fanny on RUclips today
OMG, ladies I gotta admit...I had never heard of you until stumbling upon Fanny this evening on YT. And I'm 55 years old ! You were an amazing band, I am completely bewildered as to how y'all somehow aren't famous. You were way better than 75% of the popular rock bands of the 70's !
Keep on.
Damn if y'all did a reunion tour you'd be Queens of the World.
I'm not gonna say " Not bad for chicks", however I will say "These Chicks are Badass!"
I just discovered Fanny, and I'm glad I did!
Keep playing like Girls, Y'all are All Badasses!
I love you both so much!! Thank you for the music and inspiration.
love you girls.
They blow every all-female band that came after them away.
Fanny's female rock energy is contagious!
How amazing and inspiring! I would also love to see a Fanny reunion! What a gift for all these wonderful girls to have you with them!
Always loved you guys, er, girls. A dvd of concerts past and other goodies should exist. Peace.
Just hear them lately and was shocked how good they are... Love this band.. Philippines should be proud of you...
I love you so much, you never got your props.
Absolutely brilliant. Hope Jean is getting well.
Wow. I never knew, and I love rock music! I love them!
Absolutely Great. Love every bit I hear.
Just a whole lot of awesome! Most Filipinas are forced to play the piano, (My girls!). What made Fanny great was the dedication and talents of its artists. So glad to discover.
Thanks, great note! And there is a musical being written right now (commisioned by Two River Theater and being written by Jessica Hagedorn, a Filipina), so that will bring more light to the fore. So very cool to see you're still active, and interactive at that!
Thank you for your music from cold and snowy Russia. I saw your 70s live record, and now I'm your fan.
You are SO welcome, thanks for your comment. xx June

This band rocks and so happy I found them just yesterday. Where have you been all my life? :-)

Greetings back, and thank you so much. June
That's great ! I'm a huge fan. I just hope you know that you mean a lot to so many people.
Just ran across your earlier stuff and then your YT channel tonight. WoW ! How did I miss all THIS while growing up ?!? So glad you kept up the music ! Welcome to the future ! See you when we can all go outside again. :)
So glad I got to see this! You rock!!!!
JUNE! I just discovered Fanny today (probably the same way a lot of your newer fans did).
I'm 45, and I love everything about your work. You're incredible! I haven't heard anything so wonderful in ages, and I felt like weeping.
You're not just talented, it's clear that Fanny toiled for the art because it meant something. Thank you ALL for being so good that it hurt.
Being some sort of beautiful secret from normies like me for decades is downright criminal.
Smokin' Hot Grlz Rock. Love the hair.
Bloody brilliant!
Thank you so much! June
You added a little backbeat, and funk! Nice!
I now have XTRA LOVE to share!!! Thanks girls...you've got it all! I'm a Italo-Scottish rock musician from Argentina. You made my day. I'm a male specimen...despite the name!!! Hahaha. Thankyou sisters!!!
