I transitioned to henna after a hair detox from chemicals and toxic hair care products and I found my hair healed and got so much better!!! Thanks for posting an informative video!
Hi@@lulunadi7487! Henna is a permanent hair colour so the colour does last quite a long time on your hair - especially as you use the henna multiple times. I find that I do my hair about every 5-6 months and that it lasts great until the next time I dye it. The colour does fade over time, like any dye, but I've found that timeline works well for me. As you use the henna, the colour also builds and the vibrancy lasts longer.
Soooo happy to find this bc I have been going 3 years without coloring bc the Sally’s and salon places give me bad headaches anymore. So I’m glad to find these!
Thank you so much for these videos. I’ve been dying my hair with chemicals for years and I’ve been doing so much research on henna. I’m finally gonna try it. Your videos have been so helpful 🧡
Oh, wow! Thank you so so much for your kind comment! I so appreciate it - you have absolutely made my day. Please let me know if you have any questions, I am happy to answer them! Henna has really helped my hair - it is longer and healthier than it has ever been before and I absolutely love how vibrant the colour is. I hope you love your new henna hair!!
I used to color my hair with henna and later henna and indigo mix for about 7 years, but when I decided that I’m tired of dark hair… I had to stop and grow it out - while still coloring new hair dark… to match the rest. It’s been 2 years since I stopped using henna and the quality of my hair is not great… I loved how soft and shiny my hair was thanks to henna… Now I’m tempted to go back, but I also want caramel highlights.
@@maddie5815 thanks 🫶 I think I know which one - the one with the swan on the packaging. The main ingredient in it is cassia - but is still binds with the hair shaft and when someone decided to go lighter later on - the results can be patchy.
Hi there! How long do you wait for the henna to cool down after mixing? They did we should apply within 15 min on the package. I love your color so will be following whatever you say instead 😎
I cover my grays and found that it depends on the quality, just try and don’t give up. I am very satisfied with it. The best recipe I found was adding coconut oil and olive oil to the Henna and a little water. It is so so Great I promise!
Hi there, I boil the water and then let it cool for a few minutes before mixing it into the henna. I find it cools to the right temperature after about 5 minutes. I then mix up the henna and let it cool down quite a bit more before I apply it to my hair. I hope that helps!
Hola !!!
I use henna since one year now and stopped using usual hair dye. Although I have cut my hair two times about 4 cm , I am afraid that Henna might dry my ends out or is it still from the usual dye?
You could mix it up with warm very thin runny flaxseed gel instead of water. For the henna I always used it never interfered with dye release. Also the dryness you might feel from henna I found using hair masks for a week or two fixed any dryness. For me I found any dryness from henna is fixable but not necessarily for chemical dyes. Also again you only need to use henna once then just keep doing your roots. You could always start with a henna gloss instead of full strength henna. Many videos on recipes but a simple one is to mix in a hair mask with the henna. The results will be less intense and not drying at all.
@@TracyD2 Hey thank you so much dear!🙌 great ideas I will try to do so. I mixed henna with oils and found that oils dry out my hair :/ now I use eggs only for a hair mask and I hope it gets smoother now! Any ideas what to put in the henna mask?🥰lovely how I get responses on topics that I am intered in lol
Hi, are there any hacks to get rid of the henna ‘hay/spinach’ like aroma? I personally don’t mind it but worry that people around me might find it intrusive.
@@Sharonamy thank you for the reply :) i couldn't remember as I've used henna around 4 years ago 😅 I've just used this particular one a few days ago and it is still running a little bit (it's the 3rd wash now) but it's getting better each time :)
@@HelloLetsGrow hey, i emailed khadi but i see youre still active on these comments. my kettle has stainless steel inside. do you think it would be ok to boil my water in that? also, do you use distilled/mineral free water with yours? thank you for the video x it answered a lot of questions i had about this specific brand
@@cinnamoncreamy My kettle also has a metal element in it and it has always been fine. I don't think that would be an issue! I do not use distilled water, just tap water warmed up in the kettle :) I hope that helps!!
@@HelloLetsGrow you said no metallic bowl only reason you’d avoid metal would be metallic salts so either you can use a metal bowl or you can’t because it contains metallic salts.
Hi there, from what I’ve read - henna can stain metal bowls and spoons because it’s acidic, similar to how lemon juice can, so I don’t risk it. That’s why I recommend against it. I would feel very bad if people tried this henna out and destroyed their nice bowls! This is also just my personal recommendation, but if you feel comfortable trying henna in your metal bowls, then that is totally up to you!

i know that light mountain natural makes a henna mask that doesnt color your hair! maybe that would help?

Hi Bree! We loved working with you! Such a wonderful video & results!
And I absolutely LOVE your henna! Thank you so much for sponsoring my video. ❤️
Thank you for such a nice video about khadi) The colour suits you so much.
The color looks so amazing on you!
Thank you so much!!
Hi 🖐🏻
Sometimes I use henna on the hair because it makes it soft and glowing.
Hi there! How long do you wait for the henna to cool down after mixing? They did we should apply within 15 min on the package. I love your color so will be following whatever you say instead 😎
Hi Nikky! Sorry for the late reply. I don't really follow a specific timeline, but I would say about 15 minutes sounds right!
I think you have to warm your water the required temperature before mixing the powder, not apply boiling water directly to the powder.
Thanks for the tip! That makes sense!
Great video, thank you! Your hair its beautiful ❤
Thank you so much!
Love your color. I been using nupur henna with 9 herbs 🌿
this was very helpful and tbh your hair is dream goals!!! 🌇🦊
Thank you so much!!!
Been using surya brasil henna cream, can i switch to this with no problem?
I'm tempted to try but have grays - does it cover these or come out a different colour?
Henna is great for grey hairs, covers them up

Can you mix it with hibiscus tea?
Yes
How long typically before it reaches optimal temp?

It's hard for me to say, I would check with the henna brand you're using and see if they've had this reported to them before!

You can use a metal bowl and utensils with real henna
Do not use boiling water
Warm to hot
So nice❤

Hi try mixing few drops of essential oil into Henna paste
Do you ever find that it runs when your hair is wet?
No, I haven't experienced that!
@@HelloLetsGrow thank you very much for the response 🤗
I never used khadi product, but my henna does run when getting wet for atleast a week

@@vegan_guac yeh mine runs for atleast a few washes too. And first 2 weeks i avoid anything white 🤣
Isnt there a metal element inside your kettle?
Yes, but the henna doesn’t go into the kettle. Henna can sometimes discolor metal bowls which is why I avoid mixing it in them.
