  • Prime Minister Netanyahu issued a confrontational statement accusing his intelligence services of deliberately withholding information from him. It seems clear by now that the "leak scandal" is turning into a real internal crisis.
    Since Mike was visiting Tel Aviv, we recorded this one on the fly, in Gadi's home.

    I'm very thankful for your commentary and I look for it each week. Perhaps you can take a step back and explain, b'gadol, why Netanyahu is facing such hatred. I understand that politicians who are in power for a long time create many enemies. However, I'm missing the background to fully understand this drama. The hatred seems beyond what politicians would normally face. I've lived in Israel for 9 years and follow the news somewhat. Can you enumerate the reasons? By the way, I like the tagline, "as sane as possible under the circumstances". Nice to see you guys together in person. B'hatzlacha.

      For what it's worth, I think it's somewhat irrational like the hatred of Trump -- although with Trump the haters can make a much better prima facie argument due to his various crass statements. Netanyahu not only doesn't have that, but he's a war hero to boot. So in the end it's likely do to his time in office as you point out -- but there is a facet to his personality which I think people pick up on and react to. He has a certain self-assuredness, a swagger of sorts and even at times his face -- or mouth -- will make him look *as if* he is sneering. I don't think that is the case but there's just enough of it that people who dislike him to begin with can grab hold of it. My apologies for the response especially when you directed your question to Mike and Gadi. -- Daniel

    Hi Mike and Gadi, It looked as if the microphone wires were too short. :)
    Mike, your analysis of Turkiye (Erdogan) behaviour, reminds me of what Gadi calls the "conception" or the worldview that caused Israel to misread Hamas. While there clearly is a rational thinking in Turkiye, it is done in a cultural sea of Muslim Brotherhood ideology and culture. So hitting infidels like Shiaa and Alawis sits well with this culture, cooperating with Israel does not. In the long run, the cultural sea wins any temporary ebb, unfortunately.

      Bibi has to accept it as America is already deferring the supplies of arms and engineering equipment and soon security council will vote on ceasefire in gaza and obama/biden again (like in 2016) can not veto the decision and Israel can find itself in full arms embargo from the whole world. It is a pure evil blackmail!

    Great as usual and I follow you Gadi for years as a stable truthful speaker. I'm just wondering why I WOULD PREFER IF YOU SKIPPED ON the joke/cynical comment, on Tom Cruz. Because we as Jews, are going through enough discrimination to realize that we shouldn't do it to others. The joke was unnecessary.
    And for your knowledge, Tom is a great person contributing and helping many people regardless of Scientology even if he is busy with it as well{I assume}.
    Also, consider that maybe some Scientologists are following you, and you wouldn't want to offend them. Scientologists are great people who help wherever they are needed for good causes.

    • @Misty-r1k
      @Misty-r1k 2 месяца назад +1

      I totally disagree. There are countless testimonials online of how dangerous Scientology is. They're like Hamas in that they'll take down their 'enemies' outside the organisation as well as their own people within the organisation. It's irresponsible and disingenuous to portray them as innocent and socially beneficial characters.

    The law enforcement in Israel will hold Feldstein until the trial against so that they will not have a reoccurence of the what happened in the Netanyahu trials. Specifically, that the state witnesses walked back on their statements and returned to their original statements (or the truth). My guess is that , Feldstein will be held under pressure until the trial so that he can implicate Netanyahu as the one who told him to contact the "Bild" newspaper and then they can state that Netanyahu is a threat to Israeli security.
