Not to mention the incline on the landing and the fact that it’s one of the busiest pedestrian/vehicle streets in the city (I’m sure he hit it very early in the morning). 2. The train he’s riding is the bullet train (shinkansen)-which is the public transportation equivalent of nirvana. I’m sure he’ll have his own private bullet train soon enough, though. Solid part. Carry on.
I’m still so bitter about that. I don’t even care for Nyjah, but come on. So maybe Tyshawn did a an indoor kickflip going really fast. Who cares? Was it the world’s longest kickflip? No. Was he at risk? No. Some BMX dorks had already hopped the same gap on a tank-ass Rental Bike that probably weighed a hundred pounds. If you’re going fast enough to clear the hole then you’re not going to fall in the hole no matter how bad the trick goes. Skaters have been proving that for decades. Poods is a Japanese training ground in the summer mornings where kids under 10 are forced to switch and nollie flip sets and shit as well as uo banks. Just in case anyone is curious
I tend to believe that a trick sequence should be named by hierarchy of your foot position and obstacle orientation before the intial pop into sequence. Yuto appears to be doing a nollie bs 270 to fs noseslide in Tampa. Yuto then does a switch tre flip to fs lipslide to regular/goofy out down the 11 or 12 stair, lol.
Regarding trick naming. First comes the approach (How the skater approaches the obstacle. Frontside or backside.) Second, discern what the skater locks into. Nose\tail (a board-slide is when the nose goes over and a lip-slide is when the tail goes over.) Easy. (*a bigspins and shove-its\body-varials are determined via the skater's landing-position referenced from the pop-position. Example: a bigspin front-board must be landed to fakie. If not, then it is a shove-it front board when landed to regular.)
Nollie 270 noseslide. I remember vaguely that gonz would say regular stays regular, switch stays switch. Implying you wouldn’t get into a switch trick popping nollie.
Man I feel for gravette. No doubt if his bones weren’t made of glass he would be a top skater. Also it’s very likely yuto battled that truck then came back the next day or just another time with the same sweater. They put a lot of thought into tricks on skate videos and I’ve heard of some weird clothing stuff like this
"Nike thinks that they flew out Dashawn so he could get some footage in Japan for Yuto's video part. Dashawn just agreed to go because he wants to study the japanese accent for his next single" 😂😂😂
Yuto Homigore dropped his shoe collections and skateboarding in Japan would help out on winning the skateboarding competition to continuing winning a lot of gold medals in Street League Skateboarding and X Games!
Early "nollie 270 to handrail" pioneers were Danny Garcia (Nollie 270 Board in Mosaic) and Casey Rigney (Nollie 270 to back lip in Get Familiar; Both on the same rail btw). So the trick definitely has a history, but I'd say never has anyone owned the trick variation as much as Yuto does now. He is about to do one into sw back noseblunt (and I would call it that, because I see it as a sw back noseblunt, but instead of switch ollieing into it he nollie 180s into it, if that makes sense) at this rate, I am sure. Also (this will sound even more pedantic): I do not get the trickname nollie270 shuv to noseslide. I've definitely heard that loads of times (and even read as far back as 2003 in a Rick McCrank ad), but I refuse to call it that. Mainly because there's no nollie 270 shuv being attempted. We used to call it nollie bigspin to noseslide back in the prehistoric ages and that makes a lot more sense to me.
I could see calling it just a nollie pop-shuv nose. But it could also be nollie big-spin nose… In the same way you wouldnt call a 360 flip nose/tailslide 270, or a kickflip noseslide a 90 kickflip noseslide… although technically and for the sake of description that is what they are and explain what the board is doing better? So I guess there are grey areas or either/or areas between what tricks get collectively stamped and accepted, what names stick for the sake of brevity, and what the board and skater is actually doing according to skate trick identification. 😅
As a casual skateboarding fan this is the only part I've watched this year (not sure if that helps or hurts his chances of becoming SOTY when he becomes that mainstream, but the hype is real)
I would call it a Nollie 270 front nose slide to regular. I wouldn’t pitch a fit if someone called it switch back tail. But I think calling it front nose makes the most since if he starts and ends in regular stance.
My Opinion about spinning sliding tricks is: The way you spin to approach the rail is what it should be called. 21:17 He spins into it like you would into a sw back tail. A front nose would be spinning the other way.
I lived in Japan for several years and it is a total bust pretty much everywhere. I remember the one place we could always skate without getting hassled was in front of Namba station in Osaka City. Had a lot of good times skating there with the Japan crew.
Or he's gonna just rage quit from the sport all together. I mean, he already lost the 1st ever olympic skateboarding gold metal to Yuto... I dont know if Nyjah is mentally fit enough to handle Yuto also getting a SOTY before him.
@@TysonHook-22-Everyone likes a come back story. I think Nyjah can adapt to a good challenge. If I skate regular (left foot most comfortably forward), and pop a trick that rotates clockwise…
- regular: backside

this idiosyncrasy came about as a result of the order in which these historic stances were developed:
- regular
- fakie (“riding backwards”)
- nollie (“off the nose”)
- switch-stance
Once “switch” became a thing, the frontside/backside words finally had to reverse because a “switch frontside 180” should look like anyone else’s “frontside 180”, because that’s the whole damn point of “switch-stance”
so there’s no symmetry. there’s 3 of one and one of the other, because two concepts got mixed up inconsistently:
- is the pop in front or back?
- what direction does the skater usually roll?
and “switch” didn’t create the problem. the problem was not having a concept of “switch” when the structurally identical concepts of “fakie” and “nollie” got named.
so ASSUMING we want to keep “switch” to preserve acknowledgment of what’s more difficult for a particular skater (instead of replacing “switch” with “usual stance fakie nollie” which seems like the Least sensible approach), what Would have kept everything as simple as possible would be either

- yet we don’t want to call fakie “switch nollie” because it’s basically the same as regular, just shoving the tail out a bit more to compensate for the opposite friction vector from the surface
- and we don’t want to call nollie “switch fakie” because it doesn’t Feel switch. we’re still “rolling forward”, the comfortable way, not “backward”
so these terms became So solidified in our consciousness as 3 “normal” structures of pop Prior To the popularization of the 4th stance (“switch”) that we can’t let go of the idea that there’s 3 regular ones and 1 backwards one
but, if we base it on whether the initiating / lifting / not-popping foot is turning forward/toeward or backward/heelward (what it looks like if you don’t know if someone is regular or goofy) then the clockwise rotation is
- regular: backside
- fakie: backside
- nollie: frontside
- switch: frontside
…which restores the balance of half the things (the things that Look frontside) being Frontside and half the things (the things that Look backside) being Backside
and you don’t even have to rename the stances. You don’t even have to know any anyone’s stance to see a nollie or fakie trick and know whether it’s frontside or backside. You just see how they rotate out of the pop and already have the word for it.

Dashawn with a Japanese accent singing would be great
Bit you mentioned about the magic of skateboarding….maan i remember seeing someone shred properly for the first time … incredible ❤
Nollie 270 noseslide. I remember vaguely that gonz would say regular stays regular, switch stays switch. Implying you wouldn’t get into a switch trick popping nollie.
Banger video, this new chair setup is a new golden era
can you wear cat ears
I come home to this 🙌🙌 thank you for blessing us once again lifted tater ❤❤
Man I feel for gravette. No doubt if his bones weren’t made of glass he would be a top skater. Also it’s very likely yuto battled that truck then came back the next day or just another time with the same sweater. They put a lot of thought into tricks on skate videos and I’ve heard of some weird clothing stuff like this
oh no, truck-kun CANNOT have yuto
Another great video. I really enjoy the perspective and jokes. Look forward to more uploads!
"Nike thinks that they flew out Dashawn so he could get some footage in Japan for Yuto's video part. Dashawn just agreed to go because he wants to study the japanese accent for his next single" 😂😂😂
That’s gold lol i missed that on the first watch
Yuto Homigore dropped his shoe collections and skateboarding in Japan would help out on winning the skateboarding competition to continuing winning a lot of gold medals in Street League Skateboarding and X Games!
seeing joas socks is something i didn’t know i needed in my life
what
for free no less smh, he could make millions

Was in Japan two weeks ago. Murasaki is like an "extreme" sports/fashion store.
we have been blessed with joa content, rejoice
Murasaki is a skate/action sports shop and they also have a vert ramp in the murasaki park in tokyo
RUclips dudes don’t even know how funny the Patreon one is
Early "nollie 270 to handrail" pioneers were Danny Garcia (Nollie 270 Board in Mosaic) and Casey Rigney (Nollie 270 to back lip in Get Familiar; Both on the same rail btw).
@@jbtownsend9535 Yes you are right. Seemingly, grey areas do exist.
Damn I got blessed! waited until last night to watch the latest two uploads then I get blessed with another banger today ! It’s a good day
As a casual skateboarding fan this is the only part I've watched this year (not sure if that helps or hurts his chances of becoming SOTY when he becomes that mainstream, but the hype is real)
25:07 Idk what it was but the beep and the expression this of this guy, has had me laughing for fucking hours 🤣
really enjoying this yuto era but i think we can all agree his pile era is going to be insane
I wonder which piece of drum equipment will be in the next video
7:24 indeed that was a mc twist
lint rolling a skater between attempts is a hillarious visual
Yuto dropped into the skate world like a new shoe
That ender literally made me say "oh my god" out loud at my desk at work
About to have the best dinner of my life
real
i must say this is one of your best thumbnails
alternative theory 3 yuto landed the trick then recorded the bail after to trick you into believing he is human
I would call it a Nollie 270 front nose slide to regular. I wouldn’t pitch a fit if someone called it switch back tail. But I think calling it front nose makes the most since if he starts and ends in regular stance.
Them dawgs are cooking 😩😩😩😩
Aye yoOO
When you gonna upload I need motivation to skate

yuto is the max verstappen of the skate world, every point, trophy and win matters and bro will NOT give it up until he wins it all
Not even showing emotions at all just milking and terrorizing any contest he skate to full guy on a mission😂
Joa somehow moved out of his parents place and moved into their storage unit
Shout out to the Japanese 🏯 my dad served in Japan in the air force a long time ago but I'm sure I have some half brothers over there!
My Opinion about spinning sliding tricks is: The way you spin to approach the rail is what it should be called. 21:17 He spins into it like you would into a sw back tail. A front nose would be spinning the other way.
I agree. A frontside nose would be a 90 degree backside spin, but that was the opposite, so it should be a switch tail
bro that chair looks like you got it from the showroom of ashley furniture LOL
You kept my attention for 31mins. Thank you
Are you a drummer? Noticed that zildjian bag haha
I want to take his talent like the aliens in space jam did.
Didn’t tyshawn Jones do a trash can jam and crowned himself as winner?
The thing with the transportation in Japan is that driving a car in most towns in Japan is way more time consuming than taking a fast train.
The best skate part reviewerr
He did a 540 in that vert clip. The difference between a 540 and a McTwist, is that you need to go upside-down for it to be a McTwist.
i loved this part tbh
I lived in Japan for several years and it is a total bust pretty much everywhere. I remember the one place we could always skate without getting hassled was in front of Namba station in Osaka City. Had a lot of good times skating there with the Japan crew.
If yuto gets SOTY before Nyjah you know Nyjah is going to destroy every SLS contest going forward
I hope you’re right
Or he's gonna just rage quit from the sport all together.
Yuto is killing it now for the last year or 2 but Nyjah had been killing it the last 10 years or so and to not get a SOTY is kind of crazy to think about. We will see soon enough though. Unless Ginwoo just comes from no where and destroys both yuto and Nyjah.
I sat there for a few minutes trying to figure out what the name of that grind would be. The only thing I came up with was the Yutocane
