Sir Dave Pemberton is a real MAESTRO.
He is an incredible professional, always up to date, a hard worker, an unbelievable sound-maker, and a great producer.
    TOP!

Might be wrong, but I think that snare bottom mic is a Sennheiser MD 441. I couldn't remember either, don't see them as often as the 421, but they do seem to be a great mic. I like the Shure SM7B on snare bottom too. And I think I remember Andrew Scheps talking about doing that the other way around, SM7B on snare top.

Tough to listen to an ambient mic on the interviewer, how ironic, an audio production video with poor audio!

@@bradmodd7856 That’s not ambient audio, it’s desk output recorded and laid under so people can hear what is coming out of the desk…

Very interesting interview, cool studio, interesting topics, and he seems like a nice person, a very practical & "no bull" engineer/producer, and quite the character!
    👍🏼
BUT - one third of the time it's extremely hard to understand what he's saying, three quarters of the time what the interviewer is saying is completely drowned out and unintelligible, the console and outboard knobs & settings being discussed are never even shown, and the drums/music being played can barely, badly be heard (also no joy picking up just the spill from the studio monitors) - i.e. the technical & miking aspect truly hamper this video, which is really a total shame.
    🤷🏼‍♂️

PS: couldn't agree more on the whole Atmos scam, nice to see some pros talking sense, instead of... promote-like-a-pro.
      😈
