Love the sound of that engine...Great job on the rebuild. I have a real soft spot for David Brown Case. There were a lot of them around growing up in Ireland in the 80's and 90's. Very economical tractor and well able for long hard hours. That 1394 will be perfect when finished. Well done 👏
@@macfarms hey man thanks for the acknowledgement :) :) :) I was just finishing this video, Man that lil tractor looks fresh, especially the motor damn shes clean 👌
Dont see too many David Browns in our area but my father in law had one, dont remember the model #, was a 38 hp gas engine, I think it was built in 1978 we turned the back wheels around for a wider stance, used it to haul firewood down the mountain.
Great job. Looking forward to seeing the cab resto. I have a 2wd 1394 syncro myself they're a handy machine. Just wish mine had the faster back end in it. Think it's only 25kph
Yeah they are slow on the road, which for me isn’t a big issue as we do little road travel. I think it’s possible to swap reduction gears for higher road speed? Cab resto will be fun, but not cheap, been pricing what I need it’s going to hurt the wallet !
How's she goin'? You must be feeling pretty good about this coming together eh!! Lots of work but it started up and like you say all the gears worked so way to go on that repair!!! A few little 'touch up' jobs and it'll be good to go!! Nice job!!! Take care!!
she'll blowby a bit until she gets right hard work- my 1594 always breathes a bit because it was barely working hard on at hedge trimmer n glazes up - it'll settle down after a day or 2 once it gets bedded in - your orbitrol unit might be leaking where the 2 pipes connect to it - i had that there's two outer o rings that go hard :-)
Yeah have to check that out a little closer. I’d say your right about the blow by it should clear up with some run time on it, have to find something that will put a decent load on it.

Thanks Patrick. The old DB’s are great old tractors, just sip fuel, looking forward to using it, maybe next summer 👍
May I add another well done on your running tractor, it must of given you more inspiration to do more when time allows on your working farm 👍
Thank you!
No better sound then when it starts chugging chugging chugging and fires! Man that’s a beautiful thing.
Oh man what a relief that was when I heard it start to fire. I had my doubts for a bit! Thanks for watching!
Nice Mac, congratulations it sound good, I had a good smile when you had to turn left to turn right

Great to see it running!! Looked like a toy tractor when you pulled it out, since it is missing so many body pieces LOL
lol I know she needs a hood and grille, top half of the cab wouldn’t hurt either haha
Yay, it’s going. Must of been an exciting day for you. There seems to be always little fixes after that kind of a job.

Cool! They seem to be common in some areas and less so in others. They liked them around here but I can't say I've seen many gas DB's.
Progress!!
Starting to finally feel like it anyway! Lol
Sounds sweet
Thanks!
