I think for many what makes Tool just who they are is the fact that their music is written and played organically... They do not use a click track of any sort, never have. I believe this gives the music 'life', and a rawness that's critical to the experience!

I did Right in Two in the beginning of my channel before i knew this track was sort of a lead in. Maybe one day i will revisit both tracks in one video now that i am more familiar with TOOL.
When I was young I discovered one Pink Floyd record after another and was completely blown away by the music, the effects and the profound lyrics. And Tool always reminds me of those times. Tool is like Pink Floyd in heavy. Listen to Time or the whole album "Dark Side of the Moon" and you'll know what I mean
Definitely want to get into Pink Floyd as well. I know they are iconic, but not familiar with their music. I do know Uncomfortably Numb, because it was in The Departed and The Sopranos.
So primal and meditative. Love the bass work.

The albums really are meant to be taken in order in one sitting…. Just as they have a meaning for every beat and note they set these “ interlude “ songs in as sort of a pallet cleansing between journeys…. One of em…. mantra from Lateralus is Maynard squeezing his cat recorded and slowed down lol
Maynard will love me for doing it this way, i just know it 😅.
I just look at it this way… even this way you won’t have to wait 5 to 13 years to listen to an album lol…. By the end of the year ( even sooner) you’ll just be able to listen to tool albums as you please lol
It's been claimed that the reversed whispers are an homage to Frank Zappa saying to "Listen to your Father, he's right, stay in school, etc"
