I got to play F-Zero AX at Fanime 2019 last year. The instructions on the arcade console were in Japanese though the game itself was in English so I wonder if it was imported from Japan. If I’d know it was going to be at Fanime, I would have brought my GameCube memory card!
Dude Japan LOOOOOOVES arcade machines. Between slot and coin pusher machines and particularly Pachinko, Japan has the arcade machine market on lock. It's pretty much why Konami barely makes good video games anymore, they focus all their effort on Konami Pachinko and arcade machines
I remember when the movie theater here in town was open. They had the Popeye game. I tried it out. It wasn't too bad. I also remember playing the arcade games that are based off the NES games like Super Mario and such.
Tetra, you just solved a piece of my childhood. When I was really young, my family went camping at one of those places where you rent a campsite and in one of the buildings, I remembered a plinko-like pokemon arcade machine that had a large pokeball wheel control. For years that lingered in the back of my mind, and today you revealed to me what that game was: Pokemon Catch
When will you do a Lost Bits video on Super Mario World 1 & 2: Yoshi’s lsland I checked on the cutting room floor there is a lot of stuff on those games that are unused!
WTF are you saying Caron the Cat how can some one come with such a stupid name as yours if I want to see something cringe like all I have to do is look at your profile picture
I've heard of the Kirby Medal Land game and I'd be interested in hearing coverage on it. It's probably one of the most obscure pieces of Kirby media out there.
I remember going to a local Gameworks in Northern Kentucky for my friend’s birthday party around 2010. I was so shocked to see a Mario Kart arcade cabinet. I believe it was GP 2. I remember playing as Yoshi. I didn’t get first place but I did beat my friend!
15:12 I have a distinct memory of playing F-Zero AX at the Disney World Contemporary Resort's arcade. Never thought I'd get to play it there! I kinda wish I bought GX & use my memory card w/save data to use my custom machines in the arcade game.
I have played the Luigi’s mansion game and when I did, the volume was SO LOUD but was really fun. They did remove it from the arcade a year later for some reason though. Also it is EXTREMELY hard to control the poltergeists when you play and medium is VERY hard for your first play threw. Even with two people it is hard for beginners. Hope you get to play it soon though. I haven’t seen them as much anymore too.
Not sure if this was mentioned yet but I’m pretty sure Disney world still has an f-zero ax machine if you take the tram/railway to the arcade. About 90% sure... also it was a blast!
I few years ago I was lucky enough to find and play a Mario Kart arcade gp 1 machine at a mini golf/ go-kart park. I don’t know if the machine is still there but it was an experience I’ll never forget.
I love all your videos! They must take so long because all the information you need to collect. For your next lost bits, can you do Kid Icarus? Any of the games like the original or uprising, you choose. Thanks for reading!
I remember at disneyquest they had a different version of donkey kong called something like Return of Donkeykong (I have it on video i have to find it) and it had different levels
I went to Canada's Wonderland in 2018 and they had a F-Zero AX cabinet in the arcade. It was a load of fun. Who knows if it's still there but I'm glad to have had the chance to play it. Also, at Dave and Busters in Oakville, Ontario they have a cabinet of M&S at the Olympic Games 2016.
Um actually Head On N/ Head On are not clones of PAC-MAN these games out a year prior to PAC-MAN. These 2 games came out in 1979 and PAC-MAN came out in 1980.
Great video! however it's missing a couple of things like the Rythm Heaven arcade game for the Naomi and also while it isn't owned by Nintendo anymore, I think Killer Instinct should have had a mention
I've seen the Mario & Sonic in the Olympics here in Argentina. SEGA put some money in a well known Arcade Park here and there's like 4 of those machines and some Virtua Tennis as well. Never tried them yet tho, but it looks cool, I might check it out next time I'm there.
Aside from the pic I sent you of the Mario Party game, I did play the Mario Kart one. There are a few in my town. I agree with you, it isn't the same type of experience as a console version, but it was a blast to play (especially since one is at a Dave and Busters and work paid for the games AND booze!)
I saw f zero ax in tilt studio in the vorhees mall NJ while on vacation also there I found the luigis mansion arcade game also later I found the newest mariokart arcade also I played the mario and sonic there
Would love a chance to play F-Zero AX. Also want them to finally create a new one, preferably on Switch (even though I don't own a Switch yet). The GBA one I tried was interesting but I couldn't stand the controls, played the hell out of the N64 one and never got my hands on the Gamecube version though I did play it some.

where are you in Canada (guessing because we say about the exact same way)? I know some Playdiums (yes, they still exist!) have the Luigi’s Mansion game; the one closest to me has it, and yeah, it’s super fun.
Nintendo may as well just make a Super Smash Kart game already a racing game featuring not only Mario characters but characters from Pokémon, Splatoon etc. Also is Mario a Spinoff of Donkey Kong or is it the other way around.
Does this include Donkey Kong? I mean, DK was revolutionary for a number of reasons. It was Nintendo’s first breakout hit and it was also the game that introduced Mario, and it was also the first platformer
there was a cicis pizza down in maryland, lavale (i think thats how you spell it) near the country club mall, and it had an arcade, one of those games was cruising usa, sadly its no longer there due to cicis being moved into the country club mall as a small section, and was replaced with another resturaunt.. i believe it was chic-fil-a

I think its also the fact home consoles are more popular than arcades that they cant be recorded, so what does that even mean? cant they record? why cant they record?

I saw Mario Kart GP 2 at Free Play in Providence, RI last night. 😳 I thought it was a sequel to DX, which I've seen at both Round1 and Dave & Buster's. Luigi's Mansion was at Dave & Buster's in Providence too last time I went there. I saw the Olympic Games at Round1 in Taunton, MA.
Believe it or not, there used to be an FZero AX in the very small town of Dawsonville Ga. They used to have it at the local Family Fun Center (a local arcade/bowling/go kart spot). However that closed around 2008-2009 or so. No idea what became of it since. For many years I had kept my AX “drivers license” in my wallet but with all that wear it eventually met its end last year. Also, the memory card that housed my linked GX/AX data corrupted a few years back :(
I'm surprised you didn't go into the Nintendo Super System. It was basically a SNES arcade cab with two giant SNES controllers attached to it. I had the chance to play it at a rest stop once. The one I saw had SMW, F-Zero, and SM All-Stars but I know there were other games available on other machines.
For the f-zero ax I might know two locations there might be one in Las Vegas in the arcade area of Circus Circus and the second one is that the amusement park Lagoon in Utah
