Fun fact: the mario & sonic at the 2020 olympic games was the last game that AlphaDream (the devs behind the Mario & Luigi games) made before going bankrupt!
14:05 ive played this one, and its a really small machine since its for kids - so small that i could literally just pick up the basketballs and put them in the hoops by just dropping them in, no effort. i got the highest score that machine probably ever saw fr fr - and all it cost was my pride, and having the biggest man-child moment of my whole life - absolutely working up a sweat trying to dominate a childrens arcade game
we need more fun versions of normally mundane machines. idgaf if it's just a popcorn machine with more bells and whistles, it's better than a popcorn machine with nothing!
It's a shame SegaSonic was never remade from the ground up so that you can use normal controls, this would be amazing as a simple mobile game that you could play multiplayer on LAN with your friends
I love Sega's Arcade games. If they built an arcade that had exclusive Sega themed prizes like USB Dreamcast controllers and Chao plushies based on various Sega characters, I'd honestly be a regular customer.
I personally feel like if Sega had an Americanized Sega arcade Palace somewhat similar to Dave and Buster's, it should basically almost have every single Sega arcade game under the sun. From sonic, to Virtua fighter, Ghost squad, and yes...... ALL of The House of the Dead games from 1 to Scarlet Dawn. For all of those games I would go to a place like that in a heartbeat lmao.
I love the occasional cuts showing us everything behind the scenes. The setup, all the equipment, the basement everything is in, something about it just does it for me. You've got yourself a new subscriber!

Hey Patter! Thanks for consistently making the video chapters very accurate 👍
I’ve been waiting for this video for ages, it should’ve came out years ago, but I’m glad it’s here now, and happy patter is getting more ads and probably more money. Also one the of the best patter videos ever
0:04 Patter finally learned from his mistakes in the Educational Sonic games video and spelled didj correctly (Context: He was spelling it like "didji").
I worked at an arcade with a couple of the Sonic Dash and Mario & Sonic 2016 machines. Yes, they definitely did run Windows. I remember because they’d crash often, which is how I know. (You’d think they’d put just a little more QC testing into them, but whatever)
I swear that card that saves your progress in an arcade game is such a great idea, I'd totally play more arcade games if that was a feature of many other games.
Me and my sister actually won the jackpot on blast ball. There weren't any prizes at the arcade but we did take home two sonic drink flasks with our earnings.
19:24 actually had the opportunity to play this on one of the very few original machines recently. beat the whole game after an attempt count that was... SOMEWHERE in the double digits. can confirm it is absolutely NOT easier on an actual arcade wheel my hand was sore the next day and all i could dream about that night was spinning that accursed ball
My local arcade had the Sonic Redemption game and it never really registered with me that it WAS Sonic as a kid until I went back when I was like 16 lol
A good amount of these arcade games you mention were in Sega Joypolis, an Arcade amusement part I went to in Odaiba in Tokyo. Mogu Mogu Sonic, Sonic Athletics, and Sonic Ghost Shooting were all exclusive to there.
I LOVED this video! i actually got to play alotta these weird sonic games at arcades its always so fun to find them :D some you showed were new to me so thats super awesome! Also you look hella fashionable ✨️
Ironically the Arcade I work in has both of the sonic basketball ones, and let me say the kids one is criminally small, most kids could just reach over with the ball if they wanted to
Thanks patter for this video and mentioning some of your old series. I haven’t watched it yet cause it came out 43 seconds ago but it should be just as good as all of your other videos.
just stating this incase no one else does: 18:50 the two other characters in Segasonic The Hedgehog are actually original characters who first appeared there, Ray the flying squirrel and Mighty the armadillo these two, amongst the other rare characters of the classic era(including Sonic The Fighters) would even make their grand return in Sonic Mania's Encore DLC
Imagine if you could redeem tickets for more credits to play the arcades longer instead of getting a dumb prize. (I did play the hell out of the bommering I got once though)
As someone who has recently become quite invested in SegaSonic the Hedgehog (the one with the track ball), your ranking makes me happy. Can only hope that game comes to home consoles. Also great video!
all stickers on peters arcade machine: PikaBob, his current profile picture, his old profile picture, and finally Cardboard Sliver. [ edit: there are also donkey kong arcade barrels and blue fire ]
I like that jakks pacific got the sound clips from the movie unlike whenever hasbro does talking toys where they sound completely different or say something out of character
How to spot a fellow caffeine addict: -Pick up can -Brain trying to warn you that you're not sure if it's the one half full you left there earlier that day or if it's the one from 3 fucking days ago. -Cannot waste caffeine, drink anyway -immediately regret experience, but will repeat this process the next day if given opportunity
not sure if someone else mentioned it in the coments. but the person voicing Sonic in that Patrol Car game is Takeshi Kusao, who is best known as the japanese voice for Trunks in Dragonball. yeah Sonic and Trunks shared a voice actor.
Sega sonic popcorn shop got referenced in sonic mania as a launcher where you inside of the machine and then it pops out popcorn and then it launches you high in the sky
Aimi cards aren't actually exclusive to Japan, they can be used in Asia,Australia and some parts of North America to save data to sega's rhythm games such as Maimai and project diva arcade, they can also be used for DDR due to a partnership with Konami
I have had a chance to see Sonic Fighters in Las Vegas. It may look need with the 3D and such. But it struck me as the base line for making a one-on-one fighter. It has Punch and Kick. (Can't recall button three. Block? Jump?) Made me think that it was for those under ten that were not ready for Street Fighter. So I wouldn't put it at B tier. Then again, I barely know any of these other games that were shown at all. The redemption puck one has a really neat puck floaty mechanic. But it's just Plinko with a x second play cycle. That and the Sonic & Tails redemption are about all I've ever seen out in the wild.
Thanks for watching, and thanks to XREAL for supporting the channel

Hi
Real
hi peterg
Hey pete
20 Peters? Thats a lot of Peters.
Fun fact: the mario & sonic at the 2020 olympic games was the last game that AlphaDream (the devs behind the Mario & Luigi games) made before going bankrupt!
Dang it
That's the least fun fact EVER 😭😭😭😭
what a dark end
NOOIOO
It was? I thought it was the Bowser's Inside Story remake...
It was worth it I'm sure
tbh yeah - some brief moments of shame, for a lifetime of sonic basketball expertise
3:11 cardboard silver he’s there!
Our boy!
Sonic’s popcorn shop honestly sounds like a fun idea
we need more fun versions of normally mundane machines. idgaf if it's just a popcorn machine with more bells and whistles, it's better than a popcorn machine with nothing!
Theirs a reason sonic mania referenced it.
Peter looks so fashionable
omg tails the fox from sonic 2 said that
It's a shame SegaSonic was never remade from the ground up so that you can use normal controls, this would be amazing as a simple mobile game that you could play multiplayer on LAN with your friends
Rapid fire with all the different peters cracked me up 😭😭
Glad someone else pointed that out😂
Hello Peter. I am here just as you asked. just letting ya know.
As am i
I am trapped in another dimension, please send help
Changing this from 69 to 70 likes hahaha I ruined your fun
@@andreadaniele9532 did you forget to actually change it?

A tails drone would be cool to win!

5:42 “don’t search up the North American box art for this game, worst mistake of my life!!!”
No freaking way, i was just thinking 15 minutes ago "i wonder when Peter's gonna upload"
Omg same

Hey Patter! Thanks for consistently making the video chapters very accurate 👍
thanks for helping me on my bad day, patter
Peter this is genuinely my favorite video you’ve ever made. and it’s totally not because im a major nerd with arcade machines.
I've finally found the name of the sonic fighting game I played at Chuck e cheese when I was little. Thanks for bringing back so many memories fr
I literally scream "YES" every time peter uploads. Your vids make my day man : )
I’ve been waiting for this video for ages, it should’ve came out years ago, but I’m glad it’s here now, and happy patter is getting more ads and probably more money. Also one the of the best patter videos ever
I'm sleepy and watching you switch forms in a segment of the video made me feel so damn lost for a second LMAO
0:04 Patter finally learned from his mistakes in the Educational Sonic games video and spelled didj correctly (Context: He was spelling it like "didji").
Ok phew I can subscribe to him again
well did she?
@@EvanStarDreamDid ya take the dog out? Well didji?
@@Brunkbranknot yet my friend, we shall not forgive him until he releases an apology video admitting his mistake and vowing to do better

My local arcade used to have the sonic and tails spinner before it closed down. So much nostalgia

Peter Knetter, I can't get enough of your content, so I subscribed!
Welcome to the family
Another great video, Pefler. I loved when you invited some of your multiverse variants to help present the physical arcade attractions.
I like how professional the ad read was, very nice perte
13:51 I remember this machine from years ago. I remember it working only once, but I'm still nostalgic for it.
Me and my sister actually won the jackpot on blast ball. There weren't any prizes at the arcade but we did take home two sonic drink flasks with our earnings.
Can't spell Arcade without Sonic.
Erm actually you can, A...uhhh.....P......there's probably a...uh.....like a Y in there or something...
@@Dr.Gummikyou forgot to carry the 2
Yes you can.
That’s the a joke right?
One thing I like about cosmo fighter is the unreleased English version sounds like they switched the voice actors for sonic and eggman.

I LOVED this video! i actually got to play alotta these weird sonic games at arcades its always so fun to find them :D some you showed were new to me so thats super awesome! Also you look hella fashionable ✨️
I don’t like a lot of the sarcasm. Wish he was serious as we don’t have many videos seriously talking about Sonic arcade games.
Peter not knowing how SegaSonic Bros. plays even after getting loops twice makes my brain hurt.
My greatest achievement at an arcade was beating Sonic Dash Extreme 3 times in a row and getting like 4,000 tickets from it.
Sega Sonic Bros was Sonic Undeground before Sonic Underground
"Die happy!" -Sonic the Hedgehog
Ironically the Arcade I work in has both of the sonic basketball ones, and let me say the kids one is criminally small, most kids could just reach over with the ball if they wanted to
Thanks patter for this video and mentioning some of your old series.

0:09 holy shit, it's the rare GRID Arcade Machine!
just stating this incase no one else does:

Imagine if you could redeem tickets for more credits to play the arcades longer instead of getting a dumb prize.
(I did play the hell out of the bommering I got once though)
Fun Fact: I live near a place that has the Mario and Sonic Tokyo 2020 machine, it is a lot of fun considering it only needs £1
Patter is wild for this 9:18
As someone who has recently become quite invested in SegaSonic the Hedgehog (the one with the track ball), your ranking makes me happy. Can only hope that game comes to home consoles. Also great video!
18:10 fav part😂😂😂.Please Peter keep humor like that.
I hate that joke. Recycling should be taken seriously.
I never thought Peter could be cooler than he already is, but man those xreal glasses just make him look like the coolest.
I get that he's only wearing them for the sponsor, but they do genuinely look kind of cool.
can you really call yourself a sonic fan if your home collection doesn't include Sonic in the Barrel?
this is my comfort channel, shoutout from a fellow '96 sonic person
The giant D-Pad ruined Sonic Dash Extreme. It's extremely unresponsive. It should have just used a joystick.
Winning sonic athletics when I was like 12 was the peak of my life.
Hello Peter, just to tell you, the S&M 2016 machine can be found in a arcade club in Manchester, pretty cool
10:41 Speaking of which, there's an English version of the game that was so obscure.
1:51 Those colorful stairs are cool.
So happy the popcorn machine got mentioned
9:45 i feel like peter definitely knows the real meaning behind "keep yourself safe" 😅
Wow i cant believe that peter kept teleporting to the arcade:O WoW

Sonic & Sega All Star Racing and Mario & Sonic Rio 2016 are playable on Teknoparrot. It lets you run a number of PC based arcade games on a normal PC.
Man, those carnival games made Petter unevolve into a cave man 😂
