Have you noticed that Loki is always quiet in the presence of Odin and Thor ? As if he has learned from the beginning that he's just not as important as his brother. And the way he looked up when Odin said: "I love you, my sons." breaks my heart into a million pieces 🥺 I think all Loki has ever wanted was to be respected and loved but he never was.

I feel like Loki is the most misunderstood villain that Marvel had. I mean he's not a villain anymore but while he was it was mostly out of hurt when he found out that he was a frost giant. He just wanted to earn his rights as an asgardian but instead he was living in the shadows of being "Loki, Thor's brother" instead of "Loki, God of Mischief". Mad props to Tom for playing him so well
He literally just wanted to prove himself equal to Thor and once he realized he wasn't going to get that he started being the "villain"
he was messed up from long before then, like when they were children and Loki tried to murder thor while pretending to be a snake

All marvel heros are broken. But Loki is the most broken. Because he tries so hard to prove himself, even though he keeps failing immensely. He's a great person. And everyone seems to overlook this because of the bad things he's done. It's truly heartbreaking to see a charcter that much in need, knowing they will never receive the help, they need and want.
