Some serious alpine skills needed there for some bits! I see from Yeats Ridge to Mungo over the tops looks like an unmarked route requiring ice axe, crampons and a good eye for navigating.
I'll likely never get to these places again, but every moment of this made my heart sing. The terrain, the huts, the colours, the bush and rivers - it was all so very familiar. Well done and thank you for bringing me a glimpse of something so authentic!
I really enjoyed this incredible video! You guys are legends - you make it look effortless most of the time. 👍🏾🙆🏻♀️🏕️ I'm a Kiwi B Nana in the North Island so my mountain climbing is very tame in comparison 😅 Aren't we blessed with our beautiful country! 🌳🗻🏞️⛰️🏔️
What were the dates of this trip? I'm thinking of doing a similar route in November and wondering how similar the conditions over commodore ridge might be.

That looked tough, great to see you both smiling to the end. Can’t be many routes that are more challenging than that.
