I wish you could do ALL "how to" videos! JUST THE FACTS and so 1-2-3! So many people go on for extended periods of time when all that is wanted and needed is QUICK concise info. GREAT JOB!
Not sure what the guy was babbling on about being paid for reviews. But I just bought this and I love it. Good overview of maintenence. Clear and concise. My chain popped off and mainly just wanted to confirm how to put it back on. Thanks!
Also, you should use a small flat blade screwdriver to clean out the groove that the chain rides in and flip the (guide) bar over each time you install it so it wears evenly.
Great Video! Exactly what I needed - How to changes the chain on the saw. Straight forward and to the point. I especially liked that you gave the 13 mm size you would need for the bolt and the part number for the chain. Good Work! Thank YOU!
Wish I saw this before I saw all the new Milwaukee telescoping pole. Wonder if that comes w an attachment or need to buy the whole new tool😂 thanks for covering this good quick vid
Great video! When you're putting tension on the chain ⛓️ if it's a new chain it's should be tight enough to just pull out to the edge of the teeth. If it's a used broken in chain it should be tight but when pulled out you should just be able to fit a nickel between the chain and the bar. 👍
You should also remove the “e” clip from the sprocket and clean any extra debris that has worked in deep. You can also save you some $$$ by just buying Oregons R40 model replacement chain. The Milwaukee chain is made by Oregon and Milwaukee just uses their packaging. Oregons R40 is currently $14.85 so depending on where you buy the Milwaukee branded chain you can save $7-$10. Thanks for the video
did you happen to have problem with the chain oiler ? I got a brand new one and it looks like no oil are going out. Pass through 1x 8 ah so far and the oil reservoir didn't lower. I open the cover and check out the small hole and nothing seems stuck, I push air through it and I see air going in reservoir. Tried the other side but was a bit hard to do without a mess but nothing goes towards the chain. What should I look at ?
Do you use the extension? If so, how does this feel with it and would you be able to get a second extension on there safely? Looking for videos on people using extensions.
bought a harbor freight cheap electric chain saw last spring, used it to cut about 5' off the top of some bushes. i didn't care if i broke it cause i could exchange it when i finished. all though the chain fell off several times and crap/sticks and vines would get crammed places they should not go. every time i tore it apart and put it back together it still worked.... :)

Maintenance videos are very rare, but after you replace that chain a few times because of failure to do the maintenance on it, YOU LEARN MAINTENANCE!!
Not sure what the guy was babbling on about being paid for reviews. But I just bought this and I love it. Good overview of maintenence. Clear and concise. My chain popped off and mainly just wanted to confirm how to put it back on. Thanks!
This video was perfect, no side distractions, etc. To the point. Keep em coming!
This kind of video is the reason RUclips makes me brave. Perfect. Straightforward. Thank you!

Same issue with mine out of the box. Did you ever get it working?
@@dw5432 I've been through 2 packs or so during the summer but it looks like it's not using oil so much or even not at all and I don't know why.
How is the chain and bar holding up as far as wear?
@@dw5432 mostly hot as fuck while cutting and afterwards. Chain and guard looks OK for now

How to store it so it doesn't leak bar oil, a known issue?
Thanks for posting my man, my chain just got misaligned
Beautiful Tutorial-thank you.
What oil I have to use for best results whit this attached
Does it matter what brand of oil do you use in the reservoir? Will any brand work?
BAR OIL. Nothing Other than that. Any quality brand should be fine.
Thank goodness for this video!
Thank you for training us!
Just used mine for the first time, do I need to empty the remaining chain oil after every use?
You don't have to, but make sure to store it horizontally or it will leak out.
Super helpful dude thanks for the vid
Mine is brand new and leak oil, is it normal?
Great video bro keep it up 👍
You should also include information about Chain sharpening (chains are pretty expensive) to make the video more complete. Thanks for the video
Big ups man, thanks for this vid

When i clean my cain cover i use dawn dish soap then i rinse the cover it's self off with water

Great video, please don't use brake parts cleaner on plastic and rubber. Over time it can cause the material to become brittle and break.
