Thans for an awesome Presentation on Shutter Priority; now I have a better understanding on how to take better images in this mode; In fact, I've already done so with more pleasing results. 😄
Hi Wai Lam! Have been watching your videos, very helpful and in-depth. Actually had to study first my XT3 before start posting questions! Your knowledge is way above average. I have done an extensive research, as I am committed to use the XT3 for shooting sports! Question: Would you be able to share your AF-C custom settings? e.g. and zone AF 3x3, 5x5? Thank you ahead! Cheers
Hello Wai Lam! Great video! What of slow shutter speeds? I am trying to take photos of the ocean and get a misty look. I have set the shutter speed to 4 seconds and the lens to 'A'. My pictures are coming out very over exposed - despite the light meter being centered! What could I trouble shoot? Thanks! nb. Your tutorials here on the X-T30 are actually better than tutorials I purchased off another RUclipsr regarding the X-T30 Thanks again!
@@WaiYingLam Thanks Wai Lam! So, this is only possible with a physical filter at such slow shutter speeds then! ok, good to know. Having the "A" set on the lens is otherwise all that needs to be done after selecting the shutter speed then? Cheers!
Very helpful. Cheers. I took my X-T30 out at nighttime and for some reason it was behaving like it was on really high ISO - almost like 'nght vision'! - no matter what I did with all the manual settings. It might be an 'auto ISO' thing, as I never spotted that little function. Will have a fiddle. It's doing something automatic that I don't want it too, as I thought (wrongly) that I'd managed to basically strip it down to ISO/FS/Shutter to give me full control. Will see. (I'm an amateur with the basic 15-45mm lens and have the camera set to 125ss, manual focus, using control dial to usually keep f at 3.5 and to vary iso to get the right exposure).
Hi, I have the xt30. I have always wanted to use the bulb mode for longer exposure photography such as astronomy photography. How do I set a longer shutter like 20 seconds. I am clueless
Can you do long exposures without any length of time you want? Also I tried the method of the above comment but the aperture was red and couldn’t focus 😣
If I put in Priority mode (set shutter manually to 3000 or 4000, auto apperture and auto ISO) the LCD shows a clear photo. But If I take the photo and see in gallery it is so dark. I mean, even If I change the shutter speed (1/100, 1/1000, 1/3000) the image is the same in the LCD. How can I change it to show the "real" image?
Dude, these are great! Super easy to understand photo/video basics and my new x-t30:)))))
Thank you brother, for explaining neatly.
I have an XT30 MarkII and am learning the manual settings.
Beautiful device.
This video was beyond helpful, very clearly explained. Thank you!

Glad I could help Nick, thank you for leaving the feedback
Great example of lower shutter speed combined with panning to keep the plane sharp while showing the motion of the propellor
Thank you for your great videso
thank you, sir. i was wondering how to set shutter priority with kit lens with no aperture ring, and I find the answer here

you need to use ND filter to cut down on the amount of light reaching the sensor. you light meter must no be reading correctly.

Hi, can you tell me if you can use flash pop up as a master along with a sled flash as a slave?
Sorry I do not use the pop up flash, not my area of expertise
Hi! Is there a faster way if I set it to auto ISO then switch is to ISO 80L? I am shooting sports then I just want it to be quick. I am using xt30...
