At the very beginning of the video when I’m referring to pointing the tee behind, I’m referring to pointing the tee away from the target line (which I refer to as such in the later portion of the video). My apologies for any confusion.
Wow! By healing my backswing, you simplified my downswing! Two other points that help me rocket the ball off the face: 1. before I begin my downswing I position my left pec over my left left foot (which transfers my weight perfectly without involving the confusing hip action. 2. I make sure I cross over my wrists at impact to make sure I release the club.
That tip about getting the shaft pointing behind at the top of the backswing is one of the best I've seen. Definite improvement in contact with all clubs, driver, hybrids and irons. Many thanks!
For where I am at right now with my swing issues, this video is clutch! Great drill idea. I can actually see my issues on my Respodo videos and see where I have been failing. I have been too steep for some time. Thank you!
Best golf video ever!!! I can’t tell u how much this has helped me along with a takeaway video.
This video is a gamechanger!!!!!!
best vids on the net,,,this guy
Wow man. You just fixed all my 3 bad habits in one video. Thanks so much Jonathan. Hope to see you someday in GB just to say thanks.
I never knew my random tee holding hole behind the golf grip had an actual real world application! Def. gonna try this during my practice sessions...Cheers!
I tend to still stand up at impact, which I'm working on. The one key that I'm working on, like you said, is to get my left hip up and out of the way coming through. This has made my shots a lot better. Especially my wedges.
It was funny even when you tried to early extend you still rotated through pretty good!😂
Great video…it helped after a couple of swings. Any thoughts on the squat during the downswing. I’ve tried it and just chunk the shot.
Good to see that the arm is better 👍
Excellent (and simple) drill Jonathan -- love it. Loving your shaft lean at impact as well
I like it.... will do it for sure. TY
Hay M zzz zzz maybe listen to and don’t comment. This guy really has good information Real good knowledge.
Faldo's "wrist preset" drill does this well.
Very well explained. 👍
Can you have use the tee drill during a round or is it a penalty?
At the beginning of your tip you said to point the tee behind you Later on you said to point the tee down the line?
At the beginning I’m referring to behind as in down the line 👍🏼
90% of golf instruction is fixing misinterpreted golf instruction. One person's behind is another's down the line.
@@NineEyeRon I’m also demonstrating/pointing what I’m referring too as I’m speaking to clear up any confusion
Ok thank you for your response I understand now
I really like your drills and your explanations! I have been practicing with the pause drill for the last month. I’ll add this to enhance my iron play. Thanks!
Can John Daly benefit from this?
Brilliant ! thanks
Does same hold true with driver?
i';m gonna try this, thnx.
Bobby Jones crossed the line and had no problem coming from the inside.
Bobby Jones was maybe the greatest golfer to ever live. I don’t think most double digit handicaps have much in common with him so no need to worry.
What is the thought you should have with your hand position in relationship to your body. Bryson DeChambeau says drop them to your right pocket while rotating through?
I dunno about you, but in the one-tenth of a second it takes my hands to go thru the area before/after impact I don't have time to think much about my hand position. That said, if you put a tee in the end of your club you want it to point to the target until your hands pass your trailing leg. Then past impact roll your wrists so the tee points toward your divot area. But for me, I'm focusing on bigger muscle sets - shoulder rotation on plane, hip rotation and clearing leading hip.
Should we be using the 3.5" or 2.25" tee? I'm confused!
Tee height doesn’t matter 👍🏼
Scotty in his video says he likes to be able to see it in his peripheral vision so whatever length tee works for you. I'd day bright red 3.5 inches
If you are confused about the tee length use the pencil.
@1billiedale good idea I'm gonna use the pencil...should I use the 3.5" or the 2.25" pencil??
I love it I love it I love it!!!!!!❤ thank u!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
Great one
Good tip, thanks. It could have been a lot shorter, though.
Too much time talking about the wrong positions...I can remember better when most of the information focuses on on how to do it best. Best😅
I like hearing and seeing what not to do. It helps me understand the pitfalls and remedies better.
Okay, okay already - I'm greedy and want to know the correct checkpoints as well as avoiding fatal flaws.
😁👍
Thanks bud!
