Love your bags setup! Do you think with similar or even same bags can carry few clothes for 3 days trip? I have big aluminium saddle bags on my Nc750 but i think i will sell NC before this next trip.
Thank you Joni! Absolutely! I took 2 trips, one was 3 nights, the second was 4 nights in warm weather. 4 Tshirts, 4 underwear, 4 socks, Toiletries and charging equipment. They all fit inside a backpack in the right side saddlebag, I would recommend using a thin backpack like this one 4Monster Hiking Daypack,Water... www.amazon.com/dp/B08BRB2BSD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I realized that I didn't use the shorts and jeans I had packed on the first trip so I didn't take them on the second trip, smart move for me. why do you need to change the exhaust to install the larger same size bag on the right side - it looks perfectly good with the pipe you have now . can you please explain ?
The bag hangs too close to the exhaust, so the radiant heat in traffic could cause the bags to melt, you can overcome that by attaching a heat shield of some sort on the bottom of the bag.

Hi Brian! Here's the short version 😁 The Honda oem forward seat is good for 30 minutes. A reshaped forward seat is good for 1 hour. A seat with totally different foam (high density foam) is good for 2 hours. These are my findings so far. My future plans are to get the mustang and Corbin for additional testing in my quest to solve the pita problem I have! 😁
Hi, I'm sorry, but I didn't get it - the tall right bag, you're talking about replacing the exhaust, but you've got the original one in there, so it looks like the bag doesn't need another exhaust, it could be like that with the original one. Is that right? Or is that bag too close to the exhaust in your video? And what does the passenger say about the bags, is it OK for the legs?
Hi Jiri! I didn't risk it tbh, I was too worried about the temperature radiating from the exhaust.... But as you can see, there is a small gap. Maybe if you put some heat shield under the bag, you could get away with it. If there's a will, there's a way brother 🤙

Hi Rask895! It's the same brackets, when you buy the bags, you select a left and right bag. But even if you get 2 left sided bags you can still use the same bracket, all you have to do is switch out one of the mounting Pegs on the bracket for eg from the left to the right. It's just a 4 and 5 mm Hex bolt. It's best to buy a left hand right specific bags when you order though. 🤙

Thank you Mark! I've contemplated multiple ways to try and secure the saddlebags.... Unfortunately the conclusion I've come to is that no matter what I do to secure the bags to the bike, they will get the contents if they really wanted to as the bags are canvas and can be torn into with relative ease.... I couldn’t find the rebel 1100 as an option so I wasn’t sure if they were even compatible. The reason I thought that this was a Corbin seat was because it looks almost identical in the stitch work and color. Does your leg hit that tool bag on the right side? And how it is mounted--looks to have velcro straps? Thank you.
Hi Jeff! Good to hear from you brother! The tool bag does not make any contact with my leg, even when stopped with my legs down. For reference i'm 5'7 with short legs. The bags is supplied with straps that i wrapped around the frame, additionally the bag is resting slightly on the rear foot bracket. I added a ziptie or 2 for peace of mind. I have grown to really love this little bag! i'm thinking of getting a second one!
They all fit inside a backpack in the right side saddlebag, I would recommend using a thin backpack like this one 4Monster Hiking Daypack,Water... www.amazon.com/dp/B08BRB2BSD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I realized that I didn't use the shorts and jeans I had packed on the first trip so I didn't take them on the second trip, smart move for me. In the left saddlebag I had rain gear, bike cover, down jacket, Thermal layers, clear Visor, tire pump, jump starter, high viz vest, waterproof gloves, chain lube and disk lock. I stayed in hotels so I didn't need my camping gear on this trip. Minimal but perfect setup for me. The tank bag and tail bag were used for camera gear and other miscellaneous stuff. So easy to disconnect the bags to take into the hotel room.
Do you know if those 3 pegs are the same as the 3 pegs on the new 2023 hornet mount?
I want to buy the hornet mount and put the rebel saddlebags on it but the dealer can’t assure me that will work…
I'm not sure buddy.... Sorry
Excelente info, thank you
My pleasure, I'm glad you liked it! 🙏
Great video
Thank you Chad!!!
why do you need to change the exhaust to install the larger same size bag on the right side - it looks perfectly good with the pipe you have now . can you please explain ?
The bag hangs too close to the exhaust, so the radiant heat in traffic could cause the bags to melt, you can overcome that by attaching a heat shield of some sort on the bottom of the bag.
@@ontherebel11 thank you - I just ordered . one big and one small . but not from the legend line . why did you order legend line ? i think thats not their top tire line .
@@robertbarel896 Hi Robert, back then the legend bags were the top tier and i really like the styling and functionality.

Thank you Lari! 👍
Now that you’ve had that seat for a couple months now can u give a review on it? Thanks man!
Hi Brian! Here's the short version 😁
The Honda oem forward seat is good for 30 minutes.
A reshaped forward seat is good for 1 hour.
A seat with totally different foam (high density foam) is good for 2 hours. These are my findings so far. My future plans are to get the mustang and Corbin for additional testing in my quest to solve the pita problem I have! 😁
I liked them all
Thank you Hamza! Here is a video of how much they can carry, I love them! ruclips.net/video/OB2BN5KR8VI/видео.html
@@ontherebel11 I think I’ll try it :-)
Fantastic video. Do you have links for all the bags?
Thank you Allan! Yes sir, you can find them in the description, or you could go directly to the swmotech website. 🤙
Good video. I just got my 2022 Rebel 1100 DCT and am starting to add things to it. I like the bags and I have a question. Your link for the right bag shows 13.5 L like the left one but I know the right side will have to be smaller you mentioned 9.5 L. Looking at SW Motech site nothing listed for the 1100 but it looks like they would be the same bags as for the Rebel 500. Does that sound correct? Thanks!
Congratulations Jim! You will absolutely love your bike, especially when you set it up the way you want it! I can't speak highly enough about the legend bags, I absolutely love them and still use them, I have a video of how much I am able to fit in them for multi-day trips if you are interested. @@salorjim1000 anytime Jim! I know your pain.... It was a nightmare waiting for accessories.... I'm still waiting for the batwing and passenger backrest from my dealership .... That's why I ended up buying them from a different place. My recommendation is to call your dealership to ask them to look in the system to see which dealer in the states has one in stock and order directly from that dealership. I worked the phones that way and got lucky with a batwing from a Florida dealership.
If your using the same bags for both side how about the brakets. How did you do the install?

Hi Mark! The windshield is for the 500 but will definitely work on the 1100, you will need to bend the brackets by hand slightly, super easy! Highly recommended!

Thank you Jason! Looks better in person! I'm very happy with them! The design, the low profile, the ease of attachment and removal, the quality, the versatility, the subtle touch of class and ruggedness, i can go on and on about them. 2 negatives that people might be turned off by.... the limited carrying capacity, and the closing method. It's an option to consider as there aren't many for the 1100 at the moment...

@@ontherebel11 Excellent
Are the 9L bags universal, or is there one for the left and right? Great content, by the way.
@Tacosauce3239 thank you! Yes they are universal and can be mounted on either side. But you can get them specially for either right or left.
So anyone could quickly steal the bags off 1100? I don't see a way to secure the bag with this system. Maybe Japan does not have the thieves the US has?
Hi James, unfortunately you are correct.... Sw motech makes the urban abs bags and legend LH bags which are lockable. 👍
Just my personal methods, I’ve traveled with saddlebags before that didn’t lock but always took them with me. If you left them on every day every where you want you might have an issue but I only use mine when doing road trips (over nighters, camping, etc), doing shopping etc and generally I’m not leaving them on the bike un-attended if you get what I mean? @@accordiondr Yes it does, you have to make a slight bend to the bracket but I go over all that in the installation video. I would recommend adding 4 mm worth of washers to the bolts as well.
Excellent video. Thumbs up. I have the original Honda saddlebags, but I'm nervous they will be stolen some day because they are so easy to remove. Any thoughts?
Thank you Mark! I've contemplated multiple ways to try and secure the saddlebags.... Unfortunately the conclusion I've come to is that no matter what I do to secure the bags to the bike, they will get the contents if they really wanted to as the bags are canvas and can be torn into with relative ease.... The route I took was more of a deterrent... Basically an audible disk brake alarm, and a bike cover if I'm planning to park it overnight... Hard side cases are much easier to secure.... So I contemplate 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@ontherebel11 do you know if any side hard cases that work on the 1100? This video definitely gave me some options. I’m also curious do you have a video going over your windshield? That’s gonna be my next purchase but there are so many options out there in different heights. I did have one additional question regarding your seat. Do you find that the Corbin seat that you purchased is much more comfortable than the factory seat?
@@SONofLIBERTY hi there brother! Look up swmotech urban abs, those are semi hard and lockable, they also look great with a little more storage than mine! I actually do have a screen install video, with a discussion about the pros and cons at the 9 minute mark if you want to hear my experience with the puig screen. I opted not to get a Corbin for a couple of reasons, mainly I don't think that I will fit right in it as I'm short, secondly I am not a fan of the looks either.... Thirdly, I preferred to get a custom upholstered seat for me, so I took my stock seat to a local shop and had them trim it to fit me. Much better now! ruclips.net/video/oL91vKzjTOQ/видео.html
@@ontherebel11 thanks for the quick reply. I actually had watched the windshield video after I had made this comment and I believe that the windscreen has that additional cut out if you have the headlight cowl on your bike. I noticed on this particular video you had something in addition on the very top of your windscreen. It almost looked like it was clamped on so I wasn’t quite sure if it was a different windscreen entirely or not. I did go to the website and it is a little hard to navigate because they are primarily German but I understand that it does give you an option to use it in English, it’s a little hard to navigate based on some of the websites I’m used to using like Revzilla’s. The only thing that I couldn’t determine if the urban ABS hard boxes would actually work with the mounts that you have installed on this bike. I couldn’t find the rebel 1100 as an option so I wasn’t sure if they were even compatible. The reason I thought that this was a Corbin seat was because it looks almost identical in the stitch work and color. I just had my second back surgery so I’m trying to find a better seat option that maybe cups my bottom a little bit better and gives me more comfort on the bike for longer rides. I really liked all the bag options that you showed on here and it’s really got me contemplating changing the rear bag that I’ve been using on my bike for storage

Regarding the seat, it has been reported that the seat is very comfortable and it offers support as you have mentioned, I've never tried one so I can't offer my opinion.... Sorry brother. My bag setup is ideal for me, I'm currently on a 4 day trip of the blue ridge parkway and the bags performed flawlessly, on very technical twisty roads (back of the dragon) 350 highway miles, and rain! They are on the small side to others, but perfect for my needs. I have a small backpack with all my clothes etc in one saddlebag, and tools, bike cover and rain gear in the other. The small tail bag is still my favorite as it is so convenient for misc stuff such as mask, battery pack, cap, ear plugs, pens, passes, tire pressure Guage and many other misc items.
