Who else didn't even know the Superlight 2 came out?
Me tf.
Same. Just got my wife a superlight too
They’re trying the iPhone 15 technique adding a usbc and seeing who upgrades, I’ll stick to my gen 1
Bro living under a rock
I haven’t seen any announcements or hype.
Thanks a bunch for doing this review! Like many others, I’m currently using a GPX Superlight 1 and it was very interesting to hear about the subtle differences. I also enjoyed seeing some of the enhancements to the software. Moving two mice at once to tune the GPX to an identical DPI of another mouse is just genius. Keep it up the great work, dude.
Same
been using the superlight for a month. it was almost perfect. just got skates from XRAY pads that fit it, ditched the stock logitech ones, and now the mouse is absolutely flawless for me.
The obsidian or jade skates?
superlight or the 2nd?
@@yaboyflvckor456 is there even a difference?
Got a link or brand for the pads? Would love to try them out!
Something to know is the Logitech PTFE feet are usually a thin layer with a foam layer beneath it (that's the case on both my MX Master and G303 Shroud). If you switch to something like Corepad feet it'll feel quite a bit faster.
That's why I outfitted my Superlight 1 with TIGER ICE SKATES.
@@Firelord_Ozensame, awesome skates
Hei, did you try superlight shape? How it is coming to g303.... Are you satisfied with g303 overall
teflon*. look at the fee colour it isn’t white🧠🪦
another option is glass skates by pulsar
Looks great and I do love the first gpx that I have.. I just don't think there's quite enough here for me to upgrade from it
I am really glad that Logitech didn't change much, i always wanted to try the Superlight, but i swore to myself to never buy something with Micro B, so the original Superlight was out of question.
But after god nows how many years i can finally* buy it.
*Once it got a bit cheaper 160€ is too much for my taste.
Micro B wasnt as bad here though considering itd only be plugged up once every 2-3 weeks and it has its own secure holder. I definitely wouldve expected trigger faults before charging issues at that rate
its out of principle creating a new expensive piece of tech in 2023 with micro usb is just a spit in our faces@@coolmemesbudd
im on the logitech g pro 2018 and didnt upgrade to the superlight because of micro usb but now i ordered the superlight 2 and the main thing pushing me is the usb c its also why i upgraded from my iphone 11 pro max to the iphone 15 pro max usb c is amazing and its time all our electronics where its appropriate switch to usb c
Yooo been waiting on this video my guy !!
Good to see Logitech is iterating on a prooven and liked design instead of reinventing the wheel.
Do we know if the superlight 2 has improved the adhesive for the battery, so you don't get a rattle after the battery comes loose inside the mouse?
@randomfrankp The "2nd click" you experience with the Superlight 2 is when you click right behind or right next to the scroll wheel towards the middle seam with the left and right mouse buttons. If you press the buttons hard enough you will experience that "2nd click" to which it's because the plastic pieces are popping out towards the left and right sidewalls.
That's weird but sort of helpful to know. I have a Pulsar X2V2 and it too has optical switches which I though will not have double clicking issues but I have experienced it once and I didn't know why and couldn't recreate it again.
But he was talking about the forward button...
Great vid!!! Make sure you replace the stock feet on the SL 2, i've already done that, the stock skates are not good
should i buy super light or g pro or just go for superlight 2 for budget i heard g pro is good for a decent gamer like me but idk ? been using g502 and the double click problem make me hesitate to even buy logitech mouse
5:17 every single time I go to one tap someone in cs 2 bullets fire thanks to this, ngl unsure if thats a bad thing as the way I see it my odds of tapping someone just doubled, so bug or feature?
not only did they do the bare minimum to upgrade the mouse but they also changed the mouse feet pattern/shape just so that you could order gpx 2 skates instead... out of any appearance changes it was the skates. I also actually think the GPX 2 could've gotten more sales if they did more than the bare minimum because for most GPX1 owners they're being told the upgrade is not worth the jump if you already own the first gen.
i been waiting for this video
How do I use the set up software. How do I set up to change the dpi with a macro / button. Dpi up and dpi down. Thanks man
What mouse do you personally use for photo and video editing?
9:30 are you sure you have a fingertip/clawgrip hybrid gripstyle? for me it looks just like a fingertip style
I still use my Superlight which I bought 2 years ago and still performs like new. Just changed the feet and that's it. But if it will stop working the next mouse definitely will be the second generation. It makes sense here in Europe. You will get an official 2-year warranty, it perfectly works with Mac and Logi understands, that a major part of gamers will not feel and see the diff between 2K and 4-8K polling rates.
I will use the Superlight for years to come... since I bought a backup one for 60% of the price on last years Black Friday sale😅
I'm in a market for silent gaming mouse, any suggestions? i got a bunch of logitech gaming mouse but non of them are silent (and i don't like to switch to silent switches for my mouse as it'd void the warranty)
If you don't own a Superlight and were intrested in getting into it, buy the Superlight 2.
If you by accident break your Superlight 1, buy the Superlight 2.
If you own a Superlight 1, wait for a Superlight 3.
And if you still have a good superlight but is a hardcore Logitech fan, then get the superlight 2
@@4k_Trevorozen the smart wise men vs trevor the greedy stupid rat
If you own a superlight you will eventually have to buy a superlight 2. Not because i believe is a worthy upgrade, i have a zowie EC-CW, but because superlight 3 might never happen, and if it does, it will take more than 5 years, unless logitech wants to do what Iphone does, rebranding the exact same mouse over and over. Think about it, superlight is still a g pro, which came out in 2016, and then after 4 years they released superlight. Now we have superlight 2, which changed some things but not much. If they didn't changed that much with superlight 2, it probably means they didn't want to because the superlight was already a good mouse everyone liked, so they just fixed some things and made superlight 2, which probably is, the last superlight. I think logitech will focus on a new mouse from now on. They completed their job with G PRO.
just buy a superlight, avoid the 2. The clicks are horrendous. Mine has severe post travel on m1 and the stiffness different between the clicks is also more inconsistent than any other mouse ive ever used by a large margin. Logitech is not using any form of qa so I would recommend waiting until they get through a few batches to drive up consistency
this. I dont own superlight 1, but this superlight 2 with optical is auto buy for me, because that double click issue is annoying as hell
Good review. Im sticking with my Suoerlight 1. USB-c would have ren nice 3 sears ago, but I still have a micro USB cable lying around.
Also, 2k pollong rate is oretty much a placebo at this point.
Is it nVidia Reflex compatible? I am unable to find this info anywhere :-(
I am in need of a new mouse but should I get the g pro wireless x superlight or the g pro wireless x superlight 2?
Do the two mouse buttons clash into each other when clicked at the same time
Just got my tiger ice skates for my superlight 2 and it feels so much better. Not sure if the factory skates are just that bad or if its worse since I use a skypad, but it's pretty criminal 😅
Not a fan of how my clicks are still either, but the shape of the mouse suits me well and the new skates feel great so im still using it
I cant seem to get this connected to the GHUB, it wont recognize the mouse.. any ideas?
great review!
Worth upgrading from a razer deathadder chroma?
Lookin for a Superlight 1 on the used market now that early adopters are getting rid of the older ones!
I haven't watched you in a while (few years) you're looking good man 👍😊 whatever you're doing, keep it up and look after yourself ✌️
How do you think this mouse compares with the Razer Deathadder V3 Pro?
I just ordered the 2020 version as a first mouse, hopefully im happy with it i heard good things. (currently a controller player)
Does it work with the charging mat ?
Quick heads up - superlight 2 has a firmware update increasing the polling to 4khz
Where can I get you wallpaper?
What mice do you use?
Thank you so much for this review! I currently use a GPX Wireless (yes, not even a Superlight 1) and I've had this mouse since release and it has served me well since then. but the pads at the bottom of the mouse (no idea what they are called) have worn out badly, leaving black/gray marks on my white mouse pad. So after your review I instantly ordered a GPX Superlight 2 in white! :D
Bro you don’t have to buy a whole new mouse if the pads wear out, there are hundreds of different mouse skates on the market most of them being an upgrade to the stock ones.
Glad to hear that my mouse is gonna last long (just bought the GPX2 ) considering my model o only lasted one year before the scroll wheel broke.
LOL Apple user?
@@cesaru3619 why?
Do the also have a white version?
if i’m going from the g pro wireless, would i worth getting the super light 1 or should i just go for the super light 2?

love my original, but im going to stay patient and wait for it to go on sale.
im about to get my first pc, coming from ps5 to pc and im thinking about getting this mouse as my first one, man I cannot wait.
How do I make sure I’m using wireless and not wired dumb question but please help
Fun thing for me is, that i like the skates being lanrge, bcs i get slot more precision out of it😊
i bought the superlight 2 and im happy very happy abbout this mous. i had the pulsar x2mini but it got double click issues and at the same time the superlight 2 came out so i imidiatly wanted to buy that. But i have a lil problem. I want the Red superlight, i want it so badly. And it is like 50€ cheaper too. But i dont know if i really should downgrade from superligt 2 to superligt 1just beecause of the color.... so idk if i will regred downgrading... idk ill wait till primeday next week and see if the red superlight 1 will be on sale, if so i will give it a try i think.
Let's be honest here, the remake was in the works because logitech had to add usbc to it to comply with EU's new law. Now just adding usbc to it would be a major kick in the nuts as they swore up and down that they "specifically chose micro usb because it was lighter". Crazy how they add usbc and some more changes and it's now even almost 4grams lighter. So they slapped in a new sensor, made it just 2k which honestly I'm not mad at because 4k is still a bit of a gimmick unless you have a crazy high refresh rate and the fps to match. Some games don't even properly support 4k either. The mouse still has great battery life and they tried out their new switches which...aren't great, but not pure dogass either.
It's not the ideal upgrade, but it's not the worst case senerio either and I'm okay with it. If you are looking to replace your current gpx if its been through the ringer over the past couple years, I think it's worth the upgrade. Otherwise, get the v1 gpx for cheap.
@randomfrankp Sad part on Logi part. I got a GPX Superlight 2 and found paired with Powerplay pad the mouse can only do 1000 Hz rate, contacted support, and they told me the PP needs a firmware update that is not in the works. So if you plan on using the 2000 Hz, you can't use PP mouse pad.
Good to know!
Never liked the GPX shape, but hopeful they put this tech into refreshes of their other shapes.
A g305 shape with these specs would be gas.
I switched back to my Razer Deathadder v3 Pro.
Superlight 2 is too small for me and im getting a little pain after long gaming sessions in my hand.
Not that comfortable with big hands
I bought Deathadder v3 pro and I'm super happy with it.
Surface area doesnt lead to friction (it depends on mass, gravity and coefficient of friction), so less contact area wont make it faster. It could actually lead to worse performance since the feet will degrade more over time.
another benefit is for the people who do buy this mouse its likely a lot of them will just buy better aftermarket feet anyways and these bigger ones tend to be a bit easier to install for me its nice cause i do replace the stock feet with better ones lol im still on the g pro wireless from 2018 but this new one i will probably somewhere soon its usb type c as well which is the thing holding me back from uprgading no way am i upgrading to a micro usb mouse after 2018 haha
How care you know physics and make a great point! You should be ashamed of yourself!
yes it does. less contact with the mousepad = less friction with the mousepad
@@Evan-xs8ts that’s not how physics works. Friction is a force dependent on mass gravity and coefficient of friction. This means that no matter what area is in contact with the mousepad, it will have the same amount of friction. If you change the mass it will result in a change of friction.
@@AlejandroGonzalez-eh3ji greater area = higher coefficient of friction. On a glass pad, you would be right, but on cloth, the coefficient changes with the size of skates.
Couldnt find the corsair Icue Link in the description,
Can you just leave the wire in for Constant charge?
I’m the #1 g pro fan and I didn’t even know this existed until today
It's still bad huh 😂😂😂😂
How do i program an ESC
Did I see the price on the razer mini SE right? holy $290
Finally someone with a good review
Nice video. I really wish they would give the G 703 a Superlight update.
I used so many Logitech mouses, and found this to be the perfect shape for a hand.
The shape of the thumb buttons and the space under them for the thumb is perfect, which is important for flicks to the right,
to not hit the buttons accidentally. Let's be real, a symmetric mouse can't be the top notch shape, since a hand isn't.
Got mine for 100$ this past 11.11 promo, and this is my 1st Superlight.
Awesome review @randomfrankp! I was thinking on giving it a try to the Superlight 2 as I mostly play FPS games but was worried about size for small hands. I saw you compared it to the Viper Mini SE, they look similar. Would you say it should be good for this case? I'm using at the moment the Logitech G705 for size wise but wanted something more performance wise.
I have baby hands at i can comfirn it is great for small hands
And*
left right mouse wheel click?
I upgraded my Superlight Pro with a Finalmouse ULX and today I got the Superlight Pro 2. I love the upgraded 4K polling the new Superlight Pro 2 now supports, same as the Finalmouse. But what I really love the most is the upgraded side buttons on the Superlight Pro 2, the buttons on the Superlight Pro 1 were really spongey, the ones on the Pro 2 are not! I recommend this mouse still in 2024!
The OG Superlight has been a good mouse for me!
I hope Logitech is going to release an updated version of those clicks in the later batches because that's a no go for me as it is
guys i need help my g pro primary click no longer works after like 1 or 2 months? but like my right click still works
Email Logitech customer service. Seems like faulty switch.
Edit: my bad I thought your post was 7 minutes ago not 7 months.
Spread some of that superlight love to others in the lineup logitech; g703 superlight, g304 superlight etc
can any1 help me decide between DAV3 and GPX2
The endgame mouse 👑
I wanted to get one, but I didn’t know when it came out
See I love the idea of a super light but in practice I can't live without the extra two buttons on my original g pro wireless
Was using g pro super lite but now switched to X2 mini camp (even bought an extra randomfrankp edition)
Personally, X2s are us much better.
there's a tip that i know from YT that works with double clicking problem on my mice, use some oil on the buttons inside and pressing the buttons to insert / soak the oil, repeat multiple times then wipe the excess / spill and it magically works
also here's a old forgotten trick on windows that i discover when FB was the trend 😂😂😂, i believe it's to press ctrl + alt + any number or alt + any number ( can do multiple number press ) on any typing app / bar, also works with files ( it can lag your pc )
I gotta ask this
Would you pick this over the dav3 pro?
would have been nice to have some sort of take on the lightness which ig was the main selling point of superlight 2
One thing I hate about my OG Superlight is that the finish started wearing off on frequent contact points, and started peeling away after only about a month of use... drives me crazy. I've never had a mouse do that. Oh also thanks for finally getting on board with USB C? Oh and thanks for making my spare glass skates null and void. SMH Logitech...
Same. Have 2 super lights. Both started peeling 2 weeks in at the thumb area
Only issue I've had with my superlight is my right click just stopped working (thanks League). To my knowledge, it might of been a lemon since I haven't seen anyone else having this issue. Really was looking to get away from Logitech due to the frustration of the right click issue but all in all my other Logitech mouses have been fine.
I understand the disappointment of minimal changes, but if Logitech feels like it’s a great product they shouldn’t completely change it, just improve it. I’d love to see more new mice from them, but im hooked because of wireless charging so im here for life.
Yep but at this point the problem I have with it is the pricing. Way too expensive.
for that money there is like 25 better mice widely available, also not even 4K pollenrate what even cheap Chinese mice has😂🪦
@@keestojuusto6072yeah 160€ is ~60€ too much, but I'm sure it'll get cheaper soon.
Maybe after Christmas?
@@yoshi555king Yup I'm sure if price point is your only criteria there are many better options out there. For me 4k polling rate on a piece of cheap garbage is meaningless. I refuse to use any mouse that I have to charge, and I hate having a cable on my mouse, so I use logitech's wireless charging system. I paid over 300$ USD for the pad and a 902 and it was worth every single penny to me. Not to mention that peripherals are incredibly personal so what you buy should be what feels good and works for you.
@@Johndoe-lx8sh I just feel like they fucked up with the update with lack of 4k, coating and click issues and way overpriced. Most Chinese mice ain’t good I agree, still there’s Razer and many other good ones like Lamzu and Endgame Gear. I couldn’t use a mudpad for life. Currently running multiple Artisans
hopefully this one doesn't have so many cases of the scroll wheel starting to scroll in the wrong direction
Does it work on ps5?
11:10 I think it makes sense for Logitech to keep the design going with incremental changes. Just like the G502 family, they are keeping a successful design very close to the original.
I know you mentioned the LOD being adjustable with Hero 2 sensor, but does the software offer LOD adjustment? I still use the GPW over the GPX because the LOD on GPX is too low for my use.
Under advance it has low medium and high and you can change each preset dpi speed to which ever you want individually
hello y'all, i recently (yesterday 22-7-2024) bought my gpx superlight 2 from mediamarkt (almost the same as microcenter just bit more alround tech). and my gpxs 2 has the option to get 4k wireless poling rate, they advertise in the g hub about 55 hours battery life (from 100%-0%). But one thing to note here is that i have done a firmware update on the mouse itself and the dongle when i started using it it just promped me to do it and i did it. I have used my g502 hero since 4 years now and once had a firmware update which unlocked more dpi options (higher) for that mouse. the gpx superlight 2 on the other hand didn't get anymore than 32.000 dpi which was advertised so not improved with firmware updates.
I once tried it, but the scroll wheel felt so freaking bad (compared to a 502) that I returned it just based on that
the scroll on the previous version or the 2? I'm using the older version and the scroll is legendary garbage. it scrolls without using the wheel or when you use it's a 50/50 it will go the opposite direction.
@@almo9060 gpx1 and 2 basically have the same wheel.
There is no difference
@@maxzett I see.. thanks. I'm gonna stay away from that mouse then.
2k will probably be standard. 4k has proven to be not really an upgrade or all that much faster than 2k but its massively increases stability issues and power consumption.
how are you still randomfrankp ? didnt you want to rebrand like idk 2 years ago or something ?
If you watched the video, you'd know the answer to that question.
Should of named it the superlight+ bc it definitely isn't enough to be a "2" but I folded and bought it even tho I have a superlight and hopefully I love it as much as I did the superlight
The superlight v2 or razer v2 pro? Pls help
I have the v2 pro with the wireless dongle and it’s been amazing only issue my hand a bit too big. If u use 4K hrz or higher battery drains faster but aside from that feels good side buttons feel firm oh also I just hate razer synapse >.>.
any sugest mice for big hands?
What are your hand measurements?
What about the scroll wheel issue? Does anyone know if they fixed the issues with the scroll wheel in the new version?
its fixed
@@realkilju okay good to know
I am more interested in the white headset on your table. 😊
I have no idea how the G502X came with exceptionally better stock PTFE feet than a mouse designed for Pro players..?
Hes back
hold up, when tf did the new one come out???
I can't prove it, but I heard years ago that their double click issue was related to dry climate and static buildup. I live in a rather humid climate and never had double clicking issues with my logitech mice, from the original g5 to the g500(been away from logitech for a bit).
No, that's not the culprit
u gotta review the x2h and mini
Kinda wanna buy one when it goes on sale eventually
Clicks are heavy. I regret buying 2.
I’ve had the Superlight 1 for 2 years and just upgraded to the Superlight 2 and I noticed the tracking straight away , it’s a lot better. The 2000hz polling rate is so much better. The clicks also feel very premium and satisfying. The Superlight 2 is worth the upgrade. If you have a 144hz monitor, don’t limit yourself with a 1000hz polling rate mouse. 1000hz vs 2000hz feels the same going from a 60hz monitor to 144hz, mouse movement is so much smoother and easier too.
Shoulda spent the money on a coach or anything else rather than a placebo that's not going to suddenly make you any better lol. You'll still get whipped by someone using a Microsoft mouse with a 125hz polling rate
@@poweruwa That’s not happening , I’ve got skills and now my skills has got even more slicker. No fool using a 125hz old school heavy house brick Microsoft mouse is whipping me lol
@@hotstuff1003 😬
@@hotstuff1003 It is mostly placebo tho. The 2000hz polling rate is not something new, there are multiple threads out there that say, they don't feel any difference. Is kinda strange you did since you barely got the mouse, and how you said "it’s a lot better" when, it should not be a lot better, unless your mouse had some issues. You also probably feel that way because your superlight 2 has new skates, which are going to be smoother until they break in, which will make your tracking better. I mean is pretty logical that you will feel a difference between a new mouse and an old mouse that you had for 2 years. Even if you changed your skates months ago, the skates will still feel different.
The skates are also the reason most people believe their new mouse performs better because it has a new sensor.
@@kirinom-3129 and there’s threads with people that can’t tell a difference between 60hz and 120hz, but that’s not true is it. Superlight 2 is a lot better than Superlight 1 and it’s no placebo or the skates. I had my first black Superlight 1 2 years ago, but my white Superlight 1 is only 6 months old, so the skates isn’t the issue and both mouses work fine. Also I’ve never had any skates fail as I regular clean my mouse pad and my mouse. My desk is a tidy place, so no difference in quality of the skates on any of my mouses. Like I said, soon as I put the Superlight 2 to 2000hz polling rate, I felt and see the difference right away. I use the same profile that I set up on my Superlight 1 to my Superlight 2 and it’s way better mouse. The only thing that doesn’t feel different is the weight, both feel the same.
more contact surface area doesnt mean more friction. Only contact force and friction coefficient. Basically mass and materials of mouse feet and mousepad.
Have had the super light for almost 2 years now and it’s just so amazing like have no problems it’s just a perfect mouse
Yea I got it as well on day 1 in our country. It will be 3 years in few months
I feel the same i love it
perfect like your skin
Never late for good old P
