The thing to note is that I did not receive this from Logitech directly, so I have no specs/materials for the mouse AT ALL, I had to investigate EVERYTHING myself. The "Gaming Surface Mode" that you need to enable to be able to control LOD is something you should check out from other reviewers, or Logitech's website!
you could argue that the gpx 1 was ahead of it’s time but it’s kinda sad to see how little they changed in 3 years while other companies made massive improvements to their mice
Many thanks for always spending time on click feel. This is tremendously important, and it's confounding how -- despite mice having just a handful of categorical qualities -- many reviews still overlook one or more of them. Button quality (including sides) and click feel just shouldn't be such an issue for so many manufacturers, but it is (even after already having achieved tops marks on prior models). I have a number of optical button mice, and not one of them is equal to those with (good) simple mechanical switches.
Common Haus W. My patience paid off. Time to upgrade to GPX 2. I have used the lightforce switches extensively on the G502x and to me they feel much lighter and better than the razer opticals for example. but thats just me.
I'll be interested to see if other reviewers have the same thing to say about the click feel. Everyone seems to say the 502X switches feel light, but there's nothing to say that logitech haven't tweaked it for the GPX2 and are going for a heavier implementation more in line with a lot of other recent mice. Personally I'd rather they were on the lighter side.
In sweden it's more like 200 dollars. And they still don't make their own charging dock. Anything at 130 and up should come with accessories that reflects the premium price.
Basically if you got a GPX in 2020 and it's worn out you can now replace it with a slightly better version of the same thing you like. Otherwise it's not as compelling as the Viper V2 or DAV3, IMO.
This is the boat I'm in, had the GPX since launch day and I know the shape works very well for me. I'm not too keen on the idea of heavier clicks though, the light click feel is one thing I really like with the GPX. I know the viper shape doesn't work for me, but I'm tempted to give the dave a shot instead.
DAV3 sucks for competitive FPS though. It's an office task or MMO mouse. Sensor, clicks, and side buttons feel great and it's a comfortable ergonomic shape but it is not an athletic mouse. The width of the baseplate is WAY too wide and feels like it protrudes further than the side walls.
This latency situation has got to be similar to what happened at the beginning with the Lamzu 4k being inconsistent. I guess after a few firmware updates, the latency will be better than ever.
Well being 0.8ms faster is like going from 1000hz to 5000hz. 4000hz is equal to 0.75ms so they improved their 1000hz by 0.4 and the other 0.4 is the frequency increase
@@stefanpapdi5151 Yes, that was the motion latency. I was referring more to the click latency which is absolutely shocking that it performs that badly (relative to its predecessor of course).

The question is, what is the HIGH LOD setting? If it's still only 2mm it serves no purpose whatsoever. I hope it's at the very very least 3mm then I'll try it.
@@LuizReis1310 lod is lift of distance, if its set to low then as soon as u lift up ur mouse even a little bit, it will stop tracking instantly.. the higher the LOD, the more u have to lift ur mouse for it to stop tracking.. if the LOD is set to high and u lift ur mouse too little, it will still keep tracking and ur cursor will move on the screen low is the best for me, because it makes sure my cursor only moves when my mouse is touching the mousepad, as soon as i lift my mouse to re-adjust, it stops tracking
Amazing. Excited to get this in hands for sure. It is truly a very anticipated mouse release that we have been waiting for. Really sad to hear how heavy clicks are since I already think the OP1we clicks are way too heavy.
I actually think that the optical switches are a downgrade, because even if they can't double-click when they wear out mechanically after a year they start feeling mushy and if I'd like to change them there are no spares sold anywhere so the mouse becomes a paper-weight. Hopefully omron makes these widely available in places like aliexpress, then I'd consider upgrading.
So here’s a serious question, how hard are you pressing your left/right click buttons that they wear out after a year? Is there something particular about optical switches that makes them wear out faster? I always exclusively had the scrollwheel break way before anything else. Only ever had one mouse’s left click die on me, and thats cause i slammed it too hard, and it just broke.
Optical switches have nothing to do with "becoming mushy" Their spring system is literally the exact same as any other button Optical switches are by far better in everyway compared to traditional switches
@@goochipoochie Yes it is and I go through "every other button" in less than a year and when there's no replacement option I have to throw the mouse away. It happened with my Deathadder v2.
@@Moonwired They don't wear out faster, they wear out at the same rate difference being I can't buy replacements anywhere. And it's not that I'm clicking hard it's that I'm playing games for 4 to 6 hrs a day.
I think their approach is somewhat understandable. If they remake the whole thing to compete with some brands like Finalmouse, It simply wont be superlight anymore. slight improvements are great in this case since they can keep the core users who love the OG mouse but still provide a better product IMO.
My problem with original GPX was that the buttons would click on it's own because they're so light. I tried GPX2 in the shop and it actually felt more like a "lightweight click, but just enough it won't click on it's own". I don't like heavy clicks myself either, the OP1 had terribly heavy clicks for comparison. Grip style and finger length seems to heavily affect this experience.

Let me know when they fix the scroll wheel. Everyone I know has issues with the scroll wheel eventually scrolling the wrong way e.g. scrolling down a page and then randomly jumping up. Completely unacceptable for a $150+ mouse.
The biggest reason why I havnt considered switching to yet another Log mouse is Razers mice seem alr head of the game atm by a while, theyve had optical switches for a while yet even still they have motion sync on the Viper V2 Pro. And even if they were identical id much rather have that consistency, yet I have seem NOTHING abt motion sync as far as reviews go on youtube. I honestly people are hung up on the weight not changing much. If this was 55g, everyone would be excited for the mouse. The tech side is great, as expected and they already had leading tech with their 1khz. I can also see why they didn't want to change their weight too much. Tough spot to be in

Everyone knows - Everyone in the industry knows that gamers like a lighter and more silent clicks. Yet, Logitech made it more clicky. Why? Simple - someone has a relationship (more likely a financial) with the vendor who provide the parts. Usually the arguments those kind of people uses is the better parts are harder to secure, but the inferior parts are easier to secure.
I honestly wonder if the clicks are more durable as the gpx 1 for me feels like cheap plastic and while clicking it very hard when panicking it sometimes gets stuck in a weird position amd after a year it eventually broke
Yea the biggest thing I was worried about were the new switches. The opticals on the 502 X just werent that great so I wasn't expecting much. Unfortunately in my case this mouse seems like downgrade than any upgrade. Ah well, I've moved on from the GPX as it is so I guess this was just a sign.
@@dolphinchiang7219 recently ive adopted a fingertip grip and I find it just works better with my larger 19x10.5cm hands. So the pulsar x2v2 mini is pretty decent for it and I recently got the G-Wolves HSK pro 4k. It's pretty interesting but works well. If you are more of a claw person, the lamzu atlantis regular or mini is best depending on hand size. Heard good things about the new pulsar x2h but I havn't tried it. However if you are accustomed to an ergo mouse like the deathadder, I strongly suggest the DAV3 faker edition specifically. They use a different coating on that specifically that is more like what is on the gpx and other mice which I find is much better than the chalky feeling of Razer's original models.

Ah well, I've moved on from the GPX as it is so I guess this was just a sign.
weak beta
@@personavi uh what?
@saint_snow what mouse did you get currently? Was actually considering upgrading from wired DA Elite to GPX 2
I didn’t understand the sensor calibration thing, does it address the dpi deviation?
Yes, it's there to match your previous mouses dpi to the GPX 2, which imo is fairly useless unless you had insane deviation with your previous mouse.
At this point we will never see Logitech bring back older shapes into todays standards
Damn, I was looking for replacement for Superlight, since it's the only mice that can use PowerPlay (I got custom deskmat with Eva foam and LGG Saturn XL on it). But this it not worth to change.
Hello human. Can you share pics of the internals? I want to use the red shell with new internals, had to mod the usb port tho. But wanna to try 🎉
can someone tell me what should be the Razer deathadder v3 pro click latency with 4000hz ?
Superlight 2 before a g703 superlight is criminal :(
The DM clips you put in make it seem like you're controlling the crosshair waayyy better than you normally would. Were these just good clips or is the mouse really that good😂
still behind razers competition somehow
Great video! Earned a sub for sure. Watched this as I'm eagerly awaiting the delivery of mine :D
For someone who never got a gpx before, do you recommend getting the new one or the og one? Cuz I’m really torn between the gpx and viper v2 pro and lampung Atlantis mini. I don’t know what to get, I own a model o wireless rn
what model did you go with?
Do you know if it's possible to swap the optical switches with mechanical switches or would there be compatibility issues
Not possible!
Legit thought Stephen Hawking's machine was talking for him
the heavier clicks might be good for Val, the accuracy reset sucks ass might as well take ur time
its a mouse, the HZ and latency on newer mouses dosent matter, they are so close anyway, your brain adapts to whatever latency/hz you play on
Just get one of the flagship mouses that feels the most comfortable in hand, gives you x10 better aim than a 1000-3000 higher hz that feels like shit in ur hand
as most pros use 800dpi they will notice the latency improvement more on the gpx 2 i assume, thus it will regain the CS crown
400 dpi not 800 you clown
