much appreciated good sir, i just bought the gpx 2 and looked at g hub and basically felt the urge to jump out my window as it made no sense but now i am enlightend
OMG thanks! I just noticed that the expected battery life switched to double when I turned on on-board memory and I had a suspicion that it switched back to 1000hz. now this explains everything and confirmed my theory, I wasn't aware you had to set the profile separately. Couldn't tell a sens difference since 800dpi is what I use by default anyways. Logitech should definitely show the polling rate on the settings too, I bet there are a lot of people out there running the mouse at 1000hz thinking it's 2000hz.
@@hawkittyhawk short follow up, I just tested the mouse movement recorder and it keeps giving me around 125hz frequency, occacionally over 1k here and there. do you know why this is happening? I'm actually on a 360hz monitor and it feels good, also tried changing USB ports but always the same. on your video it prints around 2k hz, I made sure my mouse it set to 2k too but idk if the programm just reads the values wrong or not.
@@hawkittyhawk nvm, I checked various online polling tester and they all gave me rates near 2k hz, so it was just MMR that didn't read the values correctly
Great and easily explained video! I have the mouse, and I agree with you in most part. I'm not agree with 2K polling rate setting. It makes zero sense to cut in a half your battery life (up to 95h with 1K vs 50h with 2K) enabling a setting that right now have zero impact in real world. Most of pro players are still using 1K of polling rate. If they don't need more, why you? I think polling rate is used as marketing by companies like DPI number. Every new version must have more DPI, to seem "better", but there's no real world use for 32K of DPI right now (Zowie is one of the few brands that doesn't buy this stupid marketing, and with every new sensor version, they keep the same DPI. Love you Zowie). Same with polling rate. There's some mouses with 4K, 8K of polling rate out there, and the more recent changes pro players did in they peripherals was went from wired 1K mouses to Logitech 1K wireless superlight "1", so for them was more important get rid of the wire than "more polling rate". Idk if in the future this will make a difference, but now, you will literaly waste the best improvement of this new version (battery life of 95h instead of 70h of the first Superlight) to have a setting that in most part is a placebo. I think there's no coincidence that Logitech set 1K as default in this mouse. And talking about stutters, more polling rate could give you some stutters in some PC's. About the improvements, the two biggest are the battery life, and as I said, going from 70 hours to 95 it's a really great change, and is notice for everyone. And the other one is the optical switches. This one probably won't be notice for almost anyone, but we know optical switches are a better technology. Faster, accurate, reliable, consistent and durable. Also, by contrast with polling rate, activate Optical only mode have a really small impact in battery life. Almost imperceptible.
Are you sure? I see a lot of the pro players using that setting, for example jawgemo is using 4k, demon1 uses 4k, tenz uses 4k, Jinggg uses 4k, f0rsaken uses 2k, these are some of the best valorant players right now! You could use 2k when playing valorant and when you use your mouse only for desktop you can change back to 1k :)
Random thing for some people, for games like csgo, having new mouse senses it is better to set dpi to 1600 and adjust your in game sense to level it out. It reduces input lag.
@@hawkittyhawkAlso a suggestion for people to see here in the comments, or even potentially another video for you to cover it, but I often suggest uninstalling ghub after an initial setup and downloading Logitech Onboard Memory Manager. I hate ghub; resource heavy, always wants to run in background, not super intuitive, etc. OMM is a standalone .exe application to quickly change any important things like DPI, polling rate and lift off distance. No installing, just open the application, change what you want, save to mouse, and close application (without it sneakily just minimizing to the system tray!). Way better than ghub in my opinion. Only drawback is no firmware updates through it, so might be beneficial just to keep ghub for a bit longer now, as there's bound to be an early firmware release soon since the mouse just launched, but be sure I will be uninstalling ghub immediately after the first firmware update lol.

Just a word about dpi, a higher dpi provides a lower sensor latency, especially at higher polling rates so its best to use atleast 1600 with a 2000+ hz mouse, you can see this on rtings mouse sensor latency charts. say if you play at 800 dpi, you can go to 1600 and cut your in game sens in half to get the same feeling with less latency.
Cool video. I just bought my GPX2 and have been tinkering with the settings. And I agree, with the gaming surface on the mouse does feel a little bit better.....I'm sure that's all in my head but who knows.
a lower dpi doesnt have any lower or higher input latency, that video by that "tester" isnt correct becuase thats not how DPI works. its complicated but its perceived latency. it just takes a little more distance to register a "move" - that distance is so small that any timing difference is completely irrelevant. I thing but maybe I'm not correct, if you see bellow blue bar with "Enable software control to configure it and access all features" needs to be enabled to see changes applied into G Hub. I was actually looking if the mouse could be set to optical only and then delete G HUB but no clear answer to that on the net..
There's a simpler software called Logitech On-Board Memory Manager but it's still needed for changed. And it doesn't have access to all the features of the main Logitech G Hub.
Hello, i can’t change the dpi on my new superlight 2 like there’s all the presets but i can’t change the dpi there’s just a black screen at the right. Can you help me ?
Hmmm that's strange. You can try to reset the On-Board memory to see if that helps. Turn on the on board memory. Go to the on board memory setting (Device Settings at the first menu). At the bottom, click "Restore all profile slots to default." To make a custom profile, go into the mouse settings where all the presets are. Then click the big "+" at the top left of that menu to make a custom profile. Hope this helps!
OH WAIT! I forgot! After you click ""Restore all profile slots to default.", you then have to turn the On-Board Memory OFF. Then try to make a custom profile. Sorry! @@twitchs70rm22

@@hawkittyhawk sup man how is the gpx 2 holding up, are there any qc issues like creaking, scroll issues, double click. Are the clicks heavier than the og one and how is it compared to the viper V2 Pro, tried the Deathadder V3 wired but it was too big for me so ended up returning it?
It's holding up great! Clicks are wonderful and actually my favorite of all time. I do have a TINY bit of side creaking but ONLY if I squeeze very hard so I consider it a non-issue. Viper V2 Pro is also an amazing mouse. Have both on my desk right now and I still switch between them from time to time. Biggest difference between the two is the shape. Viper V2 Pro is MUCH flatter. Like WAAAY flatter. Fingertip grip would be best here. GPX2 has a good egg-shaped hump in the center allowing for better and more grip for claw grip and palm grip styles. Both shapes are very safe and are usable for most hand sizes. If they are at your local electronic store I'd highly recommend holding them to feel the difference if at all possible. I don't have the DAV3 Pro but I do have a VERY old DAV 1 that's years old. Personally, I'm not a fan of the shape at all because it's too big for me and it's angled in a way that makes my hand actually slip off the mouse. My hand size is 19cm x 10.75cm and typically claw grip. @@didaka8
No one ever talks about the min and max in the dpi section also logi doesn’t explain anything about it and I can’t find anything online about it either.. wtf does this do? I’m so confused about it .. do I just leave them alone or do I put the max all the way up? The only thing I see visually is it will make the dpi adjustment bar shorter or longer.. I just want to know what the benefits are of these settings.
Thanks for the video and all the info! Great watch. Am I the only one that feels like theres very slight mouse accel when onboard memory is off? Deffinitely does feel different

this video is very useful, maybe I have a problem but I'm not sure, I have a skypad and if I use game mode and move the mouse quickly on the pad there are some times I find the arrow somewhere else and if I deactivate it it's fine
Open up your task manager (right click task bar then click "Task Manager") and see if there's ANY logitech or Ghub stuff running. Close any you find and try again. If that doesn't work try restarting your computer. And if that still doesn't work, try uninstalling GHub and then reinstalling it again. Hope this helps!
normally you would want higher dpi for flicks and lower for tracking. you got that one mixed up. If its your preference this is fine but not if you want to recommend something to someone that is probably new to gaming.
@@TerrifyiN_ no thats not the point in the video he said lower dpi for flicks and higher dpi for tracking that is what my comment was aimed at idearly you would lower and higher the sensitivity ingame but most people do it via a dpi switch at their mouse
Can you explain why 1600 is better for tracking in your opinion? Doesnt the same EDPI feel practically the same? Like lets say your using 800 dpi/10 sens why would tracking be better if I switched to 1600dpi/5 sens?
DPI is Dots Per Square inch. So in 400dpi, the mouse will have 400 dots within that square inch that it can jump from. If you've ever tried going to 100 dpi, you can actually feel the dots because there are so few of them. So lower dpi, IMO, is good for stopping power/aka flicks. Where a higher dpi has more dots within a square inch, making it smoother because there are more dots in between a smaller space. Higher DPI also lower latency but it's only by a tiny amount. I hope that makes sense but in the end it's really personal preference and won't make or break your skills in the end. Hope this helps!
I was trying to find an easy way to swap DPI without opening GHUB. I want to play 400 dpi for counter strike, but switch to 800 for cs surfing. I’m not sure if you covered it in the video but I don’t think so. Do you know a way to do it? Great video regardless!
I get similar stuff and have said in my other reviews on this mouse that the battery reading can be quite inconsistent. But I've keep a general idea of how much the battery should actually be charged and it's always seemed to be holding power properly. Which has brought me to the conclusion that it's most likely just the G Hub software being buggy. I can't be certain on your specific unit but at least for mine it's just a minor inconvenience and the actual battery works fine. Hopefully that's the case for yours as well.
hi i bought g pro x superlight 2 and i realised that i can double click (like minecraft players do) is it an issue? can you help me? (it happens on both switch modes)
Max sure you save your setting to the On-Board Memory. Check out 5:18 in the video to see how. If it's still not saving, try resetting the on-board memory to default. And then save your settings again from the instructions at 5:18. If it's STILL not working, try uninstalling and the reinstalling Logitech Ghub. Hope this helps!
It could be Windows 11 if that's what you're using. The Recorder is older and was made before Windows 11 came out so it doesn't work correctly with it. Or, it could be a possible inaccuracy of mouse movement which could be caused by your CPU not being powerful enough to handle 4k Hz. If you're on Windows 10, try going down to 2k or 1k Hz and seeing if the Red/Green disappears. Hope this helps.
im on windows 10 and my system is pretty powerful (5800x3d rtx 3080) so i dont really what the issue is. ive tried to lower the polling rate down to 1k and 2k hz as well but it doesnt seem to improve@@hawkittyhawk
@@cheet0s814 Have you unchecked "Enhanced Pointer Precisions" (aka mouse acceleration) in the Windows Mouse Settings? Are programs running in the background? If so close them. Red/Green can show up sometimes while a game is running which can be normal. @@ronald0122 Performance wise, I couldn't see any difference between 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz.

I thing but maybe I'm not correct, if you see bellow blue bar with "Enable software control to configure it and access all features" needs to be enabled to see changes applied into G Hub.
I was actually looking if the mouse could be set to optical only and then delete G HUB but no clear answer to that on the net..
brother just run 2 slots one at your preferred lower dpi for flicks and the 2nd for your 1600 tracking dpi
How to change logitech g pro x superlight 2 integrated memory profile without software? thank's
At the bottom, click "Restore all profile slots to default."
To make a custom profile, go into the mouse settings where all the presets are.
Then click the big "+" at the top left of that menu to make a custom profile.
Hope this helps!
@@hawkittyhawk ok i’m gonna test that thanks
OH WAIT!
I forgot! After you click ""Restore all profile slots to default.", you then have to turn the On-Board Memory OFF.
Then try to make a custom profile.
Sorry!

WHY CANT THEY ADD A LOD ADJUSTER TO EVERY DAMN LOGITECH MOUSE LIKE PLEASEEEEEE, ive had a g303 for 1.5 years and im still not use to the 1mm lod i just want to be able to change it :(
Thank you!
No problem!
While playing valorant On-Board Memory mode should be on or off after setting up
When i open ghub, my first thought was why did they not save the setting automatically to the on board memory. Razer synapse does it.
That's EXACTLY what happened to me since I've been using the Viper V2 Pro for the last year...
Hope this helps!

Thanks man, how is it compared to the Deathadder V3 Pro if u have ever tested it? Wanna give it another shot this time with the wireless version@@hawkittyhawk

It's what the settings are allowed to be changed to.
Which seems like a pointless setting to be but that's all it does.
Great video! If I choose to leave the software running in the background, does it matter if I have the On-Board Memory Mode On or Off?
Thanks! Yes. If On-Board Memory is On, it will override the G Hub Software settings so you'd likely use one or the other.
Would you keep the On-Board Memory On or Off if you don't turn the software off in the background? @@hawkittyhawk
Off if you want to use the software's settings. @@m0n3ybadger71

Am I the only one that feels like theres very slight mouse accel when onboard memory is off? Deffinitely does feel different
Thanks for the kind words!
You can try the mouse tester I talk about in the video to see if the tracking might be off and also to monitor the polling rate (hertz).

Does 'lightforce switches' and 'gaming surface' settings get saved on the OMM or not? I'm guessing it's a GHUB only thing.
I assume that they are saved with the On-board Memory but now that you mention it, I'm not 100% certain and don't have a way to actually test it out. I might have to investigate further...
The mouse accel tip isn't that important, any modern game is going to be using rawinput
How to change dpi for 2mouse bro?
I change dpi for 1mouse but my second mouse has changed:(
this video is very useful, maybe I have a problem but I'm not sure, I have a skypad and if I use game mode and move the mouse quickly on the pad there are some times I find the arrow somewhere else and if I deactivate it it's fine
Game mode, meaning Windows game mode?
My ghub will not load, LGHUB Updater Service is not disabled.
Open up your task manager (right click task bar then click "Task Manager") and see if there's ANY logitech or Ghub stuff running. Close any you find and try again.
If that doesn't work try restarting your computer.
And if that still doesn't work, try uninstalling GHub and then reinstalling it again.
Hope this helps!
thank you so much bro

normally you would want higher dpi for flicks and lower for tracking. you got that one mixed up. If its your preference this is fine but not if you want to recommend something to someone that is probably new to gaming.
I would just lower my in game sensitivity, DPI just decreases latency.
@@TerrifyiN_ thats not the point i made but yes generally you would want a high dpi and do the adjustment ingame
@@Wolf-ls1wt “higher DPI for flicks and lower for tracking”. You are suggesting to lower DPI although it increases latency.
@@TerrifyiN_ no thats not the point in the video he said lower dpi for flicks and higher dpi for tracking that is what my comment was aimed at idearly you would lower and higher the sensitivity ingame but most people do it via a dpi switch at their mouse
@@Wolf-ls1wt Oo okay, makes sense.
Is disabling the g hub really make that big of a difference?
Most likely not.
But it's an optimization I'd recommend if you're playing any competitive game just to ensure nothing interferes with your game.
why am i always in green
Hope this helps!
not sure if anyone has had this issue but my settings option doesnt appear on my mouse in GHUB
Hawk TUAH! 😆
If i move my Mouse ITS still Not Higher as 250hz and in Driver ITS on 4k :/
just wondering why do u have to disable the auto updates so you can’t open G hub?
I was trying to find an easy way to swap DPI without opening GHUB. I want to play 400 dpi for counter strike, but switch to 800 for cs surfing. I’m not sure if you covered it in the video but I don’t think so. Do you know a way to do it? Great video regardless!
i just made a sensitivity bind... cant remember off the top of my head but something like bind p "toggle sensitivity 1 2"

Is there a reason as to why my g hub doesn’t look like this? I have the superlight 1
That's the first version of this mouse. This video is for the Superlight 2 which has some different features and will look different.
@@hawkittyhawk Ah damn. Thanks for the clarification brother.
hawk i got my g superlight 2 and when i charge it is says batery 97% not 100
I get similar stuff and have said in my other reviews on this mouse that the battery reading can be quite inconsistent.
Can you save scripts on on-onboard memory by any chance rather than using those only thru Logitech Gaming hub software?
Sorry I'm unsure as I don't use scripts.

hi i bought g pro x superlight 2 and i realised that i can double click (like minecraft players do) is it an issue? can you help me? (it happens on both switch modes)
If it's double clicking and causing problems you might want to use Logitech's warranty to see if it can get fixed or replaced.
does it have double click issues ?
like the previous onen ?
I haven't had any double click issues. These clicks are the new Logitech Lightforce clicks so they're completely different than the previous one.
how does your sensitivty look like that i can not use advanced optotins ´like that
When i set my gpx 2 to on board memory it comes back to 1000hz any fix?
Max sure you save your setting to the On-Board Memory. Check out 5:18 in the video to see how.
If it's still not saving, try resetting the on-board memory to default. And then save your settings again from the instructions at 5:18.
If it's STILL not working, try uninstalling and the reinstalling Logitech Ghub.

what does it mean when the mouse movement recording appears red? im also on a gpx2 @ 4000hz and 1600dpi
I've also read rare reports of other USB devices interfering with mouse movement such as other high polling rate mice/keyboards.
Try unplugging EVERY USB device except the mouse. Then try every USB port too with ONLY the mouse.
I feel like IT support over here lol. Hope one of these works, let me know!
@@hawkittyhawk Pointer acceleration is off and it happens to my old superlight as well so i think its because of all the background apps
