Understand your choice, but estate for me. Not only prettier, but also more practical, so win - win :) Tho' still think it's less knee space than previous gen! BTW what was the headroom difference in a hatch?
i have the hatchback . and the boot size is more than most people will need . you just take out the boot shelf and its an estate. and for once it looks better as well.
Great idea to review both side by side! About the bike, it doesn't matter if it doesn't fit well into the truck... I don't want to put my muddy bike into a brand new Superb :) Bikes belong on the roof or if you want to spend an extra money, put your bikes on a trailer. Thx for the review!
Please review the Audi A4! Nobody else has done a proper full review of it yet, they've all just waffled on about the BMW 3 Series and Jaguar XE through the whole thing.
Check carbuyer. And if you don't like them then check Autogefuhl. Autogefuhl gives a propper oppinion on the car and if you have a question they respond to every comment and they dont lie or anything. They have a very nice reviewer and its worth checking them out
+jamiroquai01fan Define proper. If you want a dense and essential reviews, check carbuyer or auto express. If you want a detailed review of each feature of the car, watch autogefuhl instead. I myself prefer carbuyer, auto express, or telegraph cars. I find that detailed reviews such as autogefuhl are overly long, too much time wasted on describing unimportant features of the cars.
Loads of headroom in both? We have got a Superb hatchback 2.0 TDI 150 hp dsg i am 176 cm and i cant fit in the seat properly becouse of sloping rear end. estate- worth every penny
Exactly comfort! WHy all reviewers are obsessed with racing all cars they get for a review? Driving Superb 2018 wiith 1.6tdi dsg. Never had problem with power etc.
i had two citroen c5 "break" as my last cars, but when i saw the boot of the superb, i said to myself: why buy an estate !? the sedan has up to 1760 L !! my last c5 tourer had less than 1500 L !! that's not a boot, that's a black hole !
Great looking and VFM cars from the VAG group. I just wish they got rid of that horrible Skoda Logo (badge) on the bonnet and steering wheel, time for a redesign.
fabian78 FYI it's still ugly! I may also be mistaken but where is the Skoda origins in this car. I thought it was a streched Golf platform with VW parts and engines.
+clanmac66 The logo with the winged arrow has remained in use with minor modifications from the mid-1930s. www.webuyanycar.com/car-magazine/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/P1040900.jpg
+g00dfeeling It wasn't a good seller, Laguna's were always too unreliable. My mum has one and its been sat on the driveway for almost a year now because of the number of faults, so she's driving around in a Mondeo that I gave her instead which is older but faultless. Saying that, I would definitely be interested in the Talisman if it were to come here.
More of these boring German boxes, from the company which lied to the world, and are trying to make us believe by switching brands that they are not made by VW lol
Yes you have a point, I have already unsubcribed from several UK based channels who are doing "sponsored videos" on their products, they even started before the scandal, I think they knew it was coming!
+lffit A company sponsoring videos because they knew a scandal was coming? What good would that do? Any sane company would prefer to lay low when they knew a scandal is about to break loose. In the marketing world, there's an adage "nothing kills a bad product faster than a good marketing." Overall, VW group make great cars. However, that one mistake have tarnished all the good work they made.
+lffit What cars do you buy then? Don't forget about all the others that have apparently "lied" too, e.g, Cadillac, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mitsubishi, Mercedes...

Without Rebecca I actually listened to everything he said.
Ive tested the 2,0l 190hp dsg, and it was a beast, im waiting for mine after new year
+Aleksandar Markovic I want to get one but they very long and I only have a clio gt at 4.2 mt lol
Understand your choice, but estate for me. Not only prettier, but also more practical, so win - win :) Tho' still think it's less knee space than previous gen! BTW what was the headroom difference in a hatch?
i think the rear seat squabs ridge up like all other Skoda cars, liberating some more space to make it a lot flatter in the boot.
Cool video ! I completely agree that the Hatchback is the smarter and better looking choice.
i have the hatchback . and the boot size is more than most people will need . you just take out the boot shelf and its an estate. and for once it looks better as well.
Nice car, nice choice of tunes for the stereo also (Ryan Adams)
I agree the Superb hatch Is the one to go for

2.0 Diesel? affected?
Is the 2 liter Diesel not the one the VW group is having the issues with or do the NO2 omission not matter in the UK
It's already fixed.
No, that's the recalled EA189, all current UK models (and every MQB platform model) use the unaffected clean EA288.

Don't lie, you have a Fabia.

The 1.4 TSI is actually the second best model, the best I think is the 2.0 SCR
It's a shame they've lost the flying spur like roof line of the previous generation saloon.
1.6 DSG v 2.0 DSG - any thoughts?
+Rob Elsey Dsgs are great imho 2.0 tsi all the way
+culinarymatt87 Thanks - what real MPG do you get out of your 2.0 DSG & at what sorts of speed is that at?
Although I quite don't like VW brand I'll save some money and buy Golf variant instead!
i had two citroen c5 "break" as my last cars, but when i saw the boot of the superb, i said to myself: why buy an estate !? the sedan has up to 1760 L !! my last c5 tourer had less than 1500 L !! that's not a boot, that's a black hole !
Superb is hatchback... srsly?
+Lateco Braxatoris Yes it is.
Tedrick Leong
no, it´s liftback
Lateco Braxatoris No, it's hatchback in the UK. We don't use the word liftback, that's primarily a US marketing word.
Tedrick Leong
oh sorry :D
+Lateco Braxatoris Its a notchback.
2:00 Ryan Adams is now harder now that its over? Shouldn't he have been hard during it?
If only Danish car prices were like.. anywhere else in the world... :( The Skoda Superb starts at 305.000,- DKKR (31.742,18 GBP) in Denmark o.O
Looks like a liftback though. We have Mondeo liftbacks and this boot resembles the design
amazing car
I can see why it's called Superb 👍
Great looking and VFM cars from the VAG group. I just wish they got rid of that horrible Skoda Logo (badge) on the bonnet and steering wheel, time for a redesign.
FYI: That "horrible" Skoda logo has been there for over 100 years... And no, there's no need for a redesign.
fabian78 FYI it's still ugly! I may also be mistaken but where is the Skoda origins in this car. I thought it was a streched Golf platform with VW parts and engines.

Who would buy a VW Diesel now? No one knows the full fallout of this deception when you try to sell your vehicle
bad audio
5 min is too short
VAG, Suzuki... Ford are all so boring, lets see Talisman or Megane for a change.
+g00dfeeling We're not going to get the Talisman in the UK so I doubt Telegraph will be reviewing it.
+Billy Johnson I think you should get it as it will succeed Laguna (not Vel Satis)
+g00dfeeling Renault axed the Laguna in 2011 here
+Billy Johnson Whaaat.....I didn't know that. Poor England, French D segment is great and E segment is rare but gorgeous.
+g00dfeeling It wasn't a good seller, Laguna's were always too unreliable. My mum has one and its been sat on the driveway for almost a year now because of the number of faults, so she's driving around in a Mondeo that I gave her instead which is older but faultless.

Another Skoda advert...
seriously?
+Olof L it"s Škoda,not Skoda!
1
A 1.4 in a car that size!
It is turbocharged
It's a good engine, 150ps, 250nm, faster to 100km/h than the base 2.0 diesel.
The 1.4 TSI ACT (Active Cylinder Technology) emits 115g/km meaning it only costs £30 a year to tax
audi a6 3.0 tdi 285 bhp! śkoda shit.

And as all the taxi drivers I've spoken to have found out, the engines give way at about 100k.
