    This is great! One of the reasons my wife and I are full-timing is because I would listen to RUclips channels like Nomadic Fanatic and Chris & G Travels for influence and advice. If I were still working in a cubicle (and had access to unlimited internet... you know how it is lol), I would listen to every one of your videos as soon as it came out. You are doing an awesome job with showing the rv lifestyle and I think you have the right personality to make it big on RUclips. Right now, unfortunately, the only times we can watch your vids it on cafe wifi but I'm here at a Starbucks in the northeast lovin every video. Good stuff.

    Thanks for sharing this. I just watched it to help me figure out how to add a flat screen to my Class C motorhome. Thankfully I am tackling this project in November in Louisiana. I don’t have a mechanical/engineering mind at all so being able to see how it is supposed to work helps me so much!

    You should have an outlet in the compartment where the shore power is located. You plug your sure power cord into that outlet when using the generator and it powers your rig just like as if you were plugged into sure power. All campers have it

      @RVJedeye  6 лет назад +1

      First of all thank you so much for following along & I hope you enjoy the other videos so far. As for your question, there were still some connections to the antenna and power in the back of the box I didn’t want to have to worry about and the box itself allowed me to have something to mount to😊

    any rv with a generator will run all that shore power does thats what a generator is for to create 110 electricity. my onan generator stop giving me 110 electric and i found that tiny trip switch on the side had tripped so i flipped it back on and what do you know 110 power to everything

  • @RVlivingcoast2coast
    @RVlivingcoast2coast 7 лет назад +1

    This video was almost a year ago, so not sure if you're still looking at the comments... Are you talking about a transfer switch? My transfer switch is a big mechanical relay that switches the coach power between shore power and generator power. If you don't have that, what exactly is powered on your coach when your generator is running? Is this something you've resolved?

    • @RVJedeye
      @RVJedeye  7 лет назад

      Yes... I resolved it by getting a new RV lol That's not why, I was so new when I did this, looking back I probably could have figured something out. 😁

    New subscriber. We have a 2005 Pleasure Way Plateau van-type rv with the original small Samsung LCD installed in a little cabinet in back. The TV has long since died and we have installed a nice new Vizio 24 inch flat screen Smart TV in its' place. Got the install done but now don't know how to hook it up to the existing wiring (roof-top Wingard Antenna). Can you suggest somewhere I can go to get instructions for this ?

    It's ok if you call 110. Because 220v duplicate 110v. Here in México we say. 110, 115 and 120v

    Great job. 👍..... your generator is supposed to provide power to your outlets. Search the internet or RUclips and find out what is wrong. What's the point of having one if it does nothing? Try to add /replace whatever someone told you needed. Good luck 🤞.

      Yea my brother bought a 5th wheel and it had a propane onan 4000 gold generator and it had a plug right inside where the 30 amp shore power cord goes. Unplug it for shore use and plug it back in for generator use. It took him days and I just so happened to stop by and visit him and he was telling me that this nice clean 170hr generator had no power outlet and I was like ummmm how? Started looking and found it unplugged in about 3min lol he made me a filet mignon for dinner that night haha

    3/4" most likely MDF with wood veneer cabinets. Lag bolts to hold TV bracket to the fake wood that's only 3/4" thick. Lag bolts stick out of the wood to grab curtains, shoulders or whatever they want to poke! As a minimum should have come from the outside going in with bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts. The strength is the bolt going through the wood and metal of bracket. Not the fake wood. I would love to know how many miles you drove until the weight of the TV and bracket ripped right out of the wood. My .02

    why not just get a 12 volt dc tv so it works all the time, and you dont have to use the generator or shore power to watch tv.

      The cost is something to consider. A 12 volt is usually double the price of a standard tv.

    • @simone-by7dn
      @simone-by7dn 7 лет назад

      I know I am going to sound silly but since I have no clue just looking for answers . I saw a "RUclips "video a couple of weeks ago where the guy stated if you go into bestbuy and you look behind the tv's as long as the cord can come out you can swap it for a 12 volt dc power cord. I see comments that say RV tv's cost more but if you can do that would that just be the simplest option ?

    • @vinnyboombots8270

      Solar with an inverter would be a better choice because it could be used to power other things

    • @aliezer5670
      @aliezer5670 4 года назад

      @@biker_dudefastlane9339 you dont have to buy 110 v or 12v... you can buy 19 v tv ( lg/samnsung) which is not expensive like 12 volt...also possible to buy all inches when you buy 19 v..but you have to buy a universal adapter which increase 12 volt to 19 ( in turkey it is 10-15 usd )...I did like that and it worked..
