Putting a second tv in kids room in rv so I found your video. You helped me discover that our main tv has the locking mount. For the past couple years I couldn’t figure out why someone would put a tv in without a swivel mount. 😂 Duhhh. Thank you!
Badass video. Panic mode when I seen videos with a metal backing plate 😂 my magnets didn't stick to anything. Pushed the wall and found the mount board 🍻 mate
Fun video! My boyfriend is planning to hang ours this weekend. I tend to be the handyman in the relationship so I'm watching a few vids to be sure he does it right! LOL Happy camping!!
Thanks for sharing. We dont have a tv in our current camper. Everyone just uses their phones, but it will be nice for movie nights when we go fulltime.
Thank you! Hopefully it was helpful. Just saw your video on roll ups and dehydrated tomato sauce...genius. We'll be making these for the upcoming camping season!
Since you didn't think to level the TT while installing, how did it end up? Also, since there is an electric outlet close to where you're drilling, you should ensure you don't have a live wire that you might knick.
It isn't too bad! We actually haven't even used the TV yet in there other than to test it for a quick second. We probably will use it this upcoming trip though! If it distracts, then I may re-mount it and see if I can cover the holes up. Great advice about the wire, didn't even think of it!! That could have been awful.
I have read that it's best to buy RV specific TVs. Is that true? My thought process is if you're hooked up to power at the campsite, it does not have to be RV specific. Is that the correct way to think? Can I buy any type of smart TV, or does it have to be 12 volt specifically? Thanks.
You do not need an rv specific tv.. If your only working off 12 volt system (then yes a 12 volt would be more beneficial to you. But even then with a inverter you can run a regular tv. Hope this helps.
They were the ones that came with the kit and I think they were 30mm (~1.25 inch). Not much longer than that anyhow. The mount is really solid and has held up well after many travels.

If your a guy you have to be handsome or handy. Is your bf one of the above?
Handy woman
Great job
Thank you for the lesson about leveling the TV. Probably saved me there
Great video, best one i found!! Very clear and to the point. Thank you
Glad it was helpful! Thank you so much!

K and I like to (mostly) watch the same things, so having the TV is nice. Easier on my older eyes!
@@BlackberryHillHouse very true about easier on the eyes.
Great video. Keep them coming. Now I'm ready to install one in my 5th wheel bedroom.👍😁
Thanks! Just make sure it's level first or at least account for the 5th wheel not being level!
Great video. Very helpful. Oh, nice KYD hat! 🤩
Love the hat, I just got mine
Done like a Pro
Great video!
That's a handy dandy tool there.
It really has been fantastic for us!
Thank you
I bought one for my bedroom in the RV and one for my living room the TV bracket is made by mounting dream
Thank you I was trying to figure out how to unlock my tv in my RV .just a string I feel stupid .
Good Video! I like the KYD hat!
Great install, Scott! I like that mount over having to use an additional strap. Thanks for sharing.
Agreed, and even though it was a little more expensive, it wasn't bad at all. Survived the inaugural trip with no issues!
KYD hat... :-)
great how to, thanks for sharing, i'm a new supporter of your channel

Thank you! I am now feeling brave enough to install this same system in our cargo trailer.
Great install video, Scott. Hope the camper was level. Haha. Watching your Osmo Action video now. Rang your bell.
Much appreciated! It was level enough. If I really look at the TV it seems slightly off but that's ok!
The TVs that loose you need to take the Allen and tighten up the screws where the Tilt mechanism is and then it won't wiggle any longer
Can u make a video on how to tilt it? I tried the lever and everything and cant get it to tilt
How about length of screw? The chuckwagon in the service department at camping world said there would be info in the instructions. Nada.

Wild not thinking about the potential of drilling in electrical wires lol
Nice hat! #keepyourdaydream
Nice video - you could have levet the mount to the switch, because the are levels from the factory :)
That's awesome advice! Thank you!

I have that same wacth
Nice hat
I use the same mount in my trailer. Thats a bit much for your small TV...could of went with a smaller Mount-It.
Can I ask what brand/model mount that is and where you bought it?
The brand is called "Mounting Dream" and we got it from Amazon. Link here: amzn.to/2zHp9eZ
Do they recommend a weight limit?
It will be listed on the mount kit you buy. I think most RVs recommend no more than 30lbs mounted to the wall.
Always pre-drill
Brand of bracket????
How long were the screws you used? I need to install one above my exterior window.

Can the TV rotate 90 degrees extended? I'm thinking of mounting this in my cargo hold and have it swivel out for viewing from outside.
Good question. I was wondering the same thing, how far will it swivel?
wow 4 self tapping screws ,,,,, that wouldnt last a day in my rv , It would be on the floor for sure
So far so good for us, but this does remind me to check them in the spring, thank you!
Omg. Plate included. How about a rv that DOESN'T HAVE THE PLATE.
Or you might pay someone who really has no clue on how to do it right.
