Thank you for this. I appreciate how you explain what the components are.

Thanks! This was easier than anticipated 👍. The manual says the engine comes out of the bottom but apparently it also comes out of the top 😀

I also have to remove the transaxle in mine. Im debating if I should remove the transaxle or engine first. I was thinking I could pull the transaxle from the top if the engine was out but I'm not sure if that would be easier 🤔 any thoughts?

@@michaels2251 I haven't tried pulling the tranny out at the same time as the engine. But it should be super easy once the engine is out. Remove the inverter and see what the trans might hit if you come straight up with it. If you try let us know 👍

Hey! I have a question! I recently replaced my timing cover gasket on my 2007 Toyota Prius I put everything back together got it torqued down and when I went to start it all the codes popped up and will not erase 😢 I also cannot drive the car either so I am rly lost and struggling with it right now

If you disconnected the hybrid battery make sure the service plug is in all the way. What codes do you have specifically?

@@ValleyMobileAutomotive my speedometer is off the break light and every other light is on, on the dashboard. I did disconnect the service plug before I work on the car then I finished and plugged it back in and that’s when I saw my dashboard and saw everything lit like a Christmas tree 😪 haha tough day

I pretty much got everything out but my engine dont want to seperate from the transmission. I double check triple checked the bolts but it still dont want to seperate…

@@Sic3r Play with how much you are lifting on the engine with the hoist. You may need to lower the engine more or lift up on it more. Also try putting a jack under the transmission and jack up a little to give it support. Let me know how it goes 👍

@@Sic3r Nice! It's a tight fit coming out. When you put the engine in you'll need to play with the angle so the transmission and flywheel splines line up 👍

I'm being quoted five grand for this job at 31 hours of labor That's not including the engine. Obviously it's a ripoff price what should I be paying

@@jason618 They might have their labor time confused. Labor time is 32 hours for overhaul (rebuild) and only 19 hours for replacement.
