Each of us saw these mushrooms in stores. Well you can create a mini garden in your own home at any season and watch the mushrooms grow, harvest and cook delicious meals!
To make this in our apartment, we ordered a Mushroom Growing Kit on the Internet. It contains mycelium, fresh soil and instructions for growing mushrooms at home.
Open the box and take out the package with soil. As you can see, there are holes on the compost bag. This is a perforation for oxygen supply. We leave the box in a room with a temperature of 15-22 degrees Celsius for 15-30 days, until the compost turns white evenly.
In our case, this happened in 20 days. When the compost is white, cut off the top of the film.
Gently loosen the top of the compost 2-3 centimeters deep.
After that, you need to pour the soil on top. It should be moist and lumpy.
Do not tamp the ground! It should be loose.
Water the soil with a sprayer as follows: 1-5 days 35 g of water / day, 6-7 days 50 g water / day, further as necessary so that the soil does not dry out.
Cover the box with notched film after each watering.
After 2 weeks, the first mushrooms begin to appear. Sometimes the mycelium does not germinate evenly, this is normal because you will be harvesting the crop several times.
When the mushrooms are ripe, they need to be collected. Collect mushrooms as if you unscrew a light bulb. Don't cut mushrooms!
Try not to let the mushrooms overripe, because of this, the cap may begin to darken. Harvest as it grows.
After the first collection of mushrooms, moisten the soil from the sprayer in the following sequence:
20 g of water per box, another 20 g of water after an hour, and after another hour 30 g of water
In a week the mushrooms will grow again! Repeat the process every time after harvest and it will delight you several more times.
After the end, the set can be used as fertilizer for your garden.
