Nobody I mean NOBODY has ever explained better than you just did how to perfectly put those two ends to my binding!! I did it!!! One shot!! I did it!! Thanks Becky!!!!❤️
Thank you so much for going slow on the binding. It was very helpful when you showed how to attach the ends of the binding after you sewed it to the quilt. I have struggled with that part but now I have it straight in my mind.
Hi, Becky! I finished my first table topper today following this binding technique. You are such a GREAT teacher! I have learned so much, and you give such clear instructions!! I can't wait to do another one!!
Sew glad you show your way of joining the binding…. I like that way also…. The trick is to twist the ends in the correct direction.. ha ha ha ha… have used Keith’s reverse sewer tool many times until I got that figured out. Thanks for giving us explicit instructions. Sometimes we just need them!
Hello, I hope you are having a wonderful and creative day. I sent the day in my sewing room too and now I get to sit and watch you while I hand quilt. I hope you have a fabulous week ahead. Thank you for your time and posting this video!
Becky you posted a video a couple years ago about connecting/binding a quilt…that is how I learned, I was a total beginner at the time and not having a clue, it is my GO TO and favorite video tutorial of binding your quilt 😀. Your binding instructions made it so much easier for me.
Very clear demo of this method. I do mine the same way. One thing I add. I wind a bobbin of fusible thread and use it when sewing the binding on to the quilt top. I then fold and press the back side of the binding right on the stitch line and the binding is fused to the back. Last step flip it over and stitch in the ditch no need to pin or clip and you never miss the back binding!
Oh my gosh Miss Becky!! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time you were "demoing" the binding portion. For the first time I do believe I got it! Can't wait to try it. I know I will re-view this a few times to "cement" it so to speak into my brain. I have to say, I've watched others demo how they do it, they do a great job, but I could never wrap my brain around that process. Yours is great. I was skeptical at first when you did the "twist" of the binding for the final diagonal sew and cut. I did not believe it would work but by golly it most certainly did!! You are amazing!! I still can't believe this binding process works. so excited to see if I can make it work for me. Goodness knows my attempts at binding were less than desirable. This just might do the trick for me. But first, I've got to do the April Cutie and umbrellas. But, to do that, I need to re-view the SNC process. I still don't have that cemented. So much wonderment....
Hi Becky, love your color choices on this one. What are your thoughts on making the toppers reversible? My thoughts would be putting March and April back to back so you can just flip the topper over.
I’ve started machine finishing my binding too. There’s actually a binding foot you can get for the last step that helps tremendously in keeping it even and flat. I can’t agree with you on the root canal comparison though! 😬😂
Loved your video on the April cutie. My first time using the Clear Blue tiles. Could not get the right combination of tiles for the square. Any suggestions? It is quilted and binded. Thank you Becky.
Use the largest tiles you can to minimize the number of re-hoopings and don't be afraid to start or stop off the edges of the quilt to make it fit nicely.
An awesome video! I have one question - on the binding, you stated sew to 1/4" of the corner, backstitch, then make 2 more stitches. What length stitches are you using? Also, you started sewing after that from the edge of the project - . Do you have a video tutorial for how you do just bindings? Once again, an🤩🤩 awesome tutorial, Becky! I am learning SEW much from them!
Hi. The book/pattern holder behind your sewing machine (the one you were putting the binding on) where can it be purchased? I bet you are going to tell us Keith made it for you!!!
Becky, I hope you see this comment. I was watching your February video for the topper. You mentioned that you wish there was some clips available for quilting instead of using your hair clips. There are some that I ordered on Amazon. They are made specific for quilting. If you can see my email on this comment, please email me for the information including a picture. By the way, I met you and your husband and the Houstion Quilt Show.
Without seeing your process, it's kind of tough to diagnose any issues you might be having. Holding the fabric very straight is key and don't allow any wiggling as it goes under the foot if you don't have a single hole needle plate.
Hey becky, ya know how ya printed your design out, i have sew what pro and when i print my design out it comes out smaller than what my embroidery does ..... what program did you print your design from?
EACH TOPPER IS JUST AS CUTE AS THE NEXT ONE.
THIS ONE GOES WITH ALL THE RAIN WE HAVE BEEN HAVING LATELY.

HOORAY! Good for you! I love it when my viewers are successful. It makes our craft so much more fun! Thanks for sharing that with me. Makes my day!

Finally! I feel like I understand how to join the 2 pieces on a binding strip!

Fusible thread? GENIOUS! I'll have to give that a try! Thanks.

The quilt is so beautiful. Love it.
Love this binding method. I need to try it!!
Best tutorial for binding!! Love this! One question, which little ruler were you using?

Hi Becky ! Adorable project ! Great binding technique! Love the fabric. What is it, please! ?
Thank you!
That fabric line is Hello Sunshine by Abi Hall for Moda. Thank you!
I wish i could do this like you do .i Have tried several times I can’t get it to look nice like you did can you tell me when I might be doing wrong

omg i feel like i just ran a marathon
You? My backside was so sore from 4 days of editing these videos. Ugh. I need to hire a team. lol

I printed mine from Embrilliance.
A root canal to bind your hand? Is that what you said? Or did I miss something? 😃
No. lol "I'd rather get a root canal than bind by hand." :-D
😁 funny.
