Great walkthrough! Only thing I would say is PLEASE take gain staging into account for these demonstration videos. Louder sounds better. Know it helps with marketing, but we'd love to hear it gain staged properly in examples. Great plugin though!
isn't there a scaling option somewhere. I had the same issue with fruity loops but it has a (scaled) exe file and it has solved this problem. In Ableton you can right click on a plugin and turn off Auto-Scale Plugin Window - if the plugin natively supports scaling itself. So for example using Omnisphere you can turn off auto-scale and the plugin visually looks crisp, but is obviously small and you scale the window using Omnispheres own resizing
@@balazshalpert692 even if you turn off auto scale on this plugin, you cannot resize it. it's very small in ableton haha. i have good vision, so it's not a huge problem, but i still would like it to be bigger
Generally, tubes add more colouration and perceived warmth, which is often a desirable effect in music production, while field effect transistors more accurately capture the input sound. In hardware, FETs are also less prone to breakage, add less noise and are less expensive. Please use our 14-day free trial to hear which plugin works better for your sound!
All analog modeled plugins “made by BX” apply oversampling internally whenever it is necessary, in a really clever way: We are typically not simply oversampling the whole plugin, as this would increase the CPU/DSP load unnecessarily in most cases. Especially on DSP systems, where a plugin always has to “reserve” the worst case DSP load this wouldn’t be great. The same would be true for plugins like our SSL console emulations, which get used on dozens of channels in many mixes. CPU/DSP efficiency is key here. The way our system works is that we basically make sure that any crucial part of analog modeled circuits run with a sample rate of at least 176Khz internally. Our Upsampling Settings, depending on your session settings: - Below 50kHz (for example 44.1 and 48): 4x - Below 100kHz (for example 88.2 and 96): 2x - Above 100kHz (176.4 and 192): 1x We don’t offer these Upsampling modes to be selectable or switchable by the user, because we believe they are highly optimized for each circuit and application the way we have integrated our Upsampling.
Woohoo, another 'game-changer. Gee, another 'secret weapon'. They're great plugins (when they're not just reskinned versions of each other) but please guys, music producers aren't children. Don't try to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Treat your audience with respect.

Oh they know full well that louder equals better-sounding. Hence why they don\'t gain stage properly. Smoke and mirrors.
This sounds great on 2-bus; nice thickening.
It is briliant plugin!!! Can't imagine how to mix without it!!!!
That bass though!
Excellent demo! Now I understand this plugin!!!

Great plugin , My only gripe about it, is that you can't enlarge the display!!
We use it with ableton and there is no way to enlarge the dispLAY!

Replaying this just to hear the song. That's never happened before.
whats the difference between fet saturation like the vsm3 vs tube saturation like the blackbox?
