When I accepted in Dentistry is very emotional too, my parents crying about it. Congrats and success to You. Tobe a doctor someday. Studying hard and many pressure in Medicine, so keep calm and You can do it.

Thanks, I appreciate that. Yeah, the exams have barely just begun, but at least Step 1 is pass/fail so I get a few years "break."

Probably there's 20,000 residents x 4 years of residency years right now and each physician is making x $50,000 during residency.
Seems like the US government has $4,000,000,000 (trillion)
to give away every year to physicians who are in residency. Imagine these residents graduate, and how much money they will make per year. AT LEAST 3 times that much!
$150,000 a year! Is that true?

Here is a link to some information about how the US Government gives out money to schools for both Direct and Indirect graduate medical education expenses. The total cost of these together is about $10,000,000,000 per year. There are actually about 140,000 medical residents. So $10 Billion/ 140,000 is about $70,000 per resident per year. Medicare only covers part of the total direct and indirect costs of medical education.

I'm not sure what you are asking "Is that true?" to. It's not true that the government has trillions of dollars to give away to residents. It is about $10 billion.
It is true that physicians can make $150,000 in the U.S. In some specialties, the average can be >$500,000.
