either plane weighs over 20 Kg,.
Both are powered by different Methanol glow engines.
The Team Demonstration is unique!

These builders and pilots really put the super into super constellation. Probably the 2 most beautiful large rc models I have ever seen and flown so well. Fantastic !
Einfach nur WOW!! Sehr schöne Flieger.. der Sound der roten Connie hat mich fast umgehauen.. gewaltig. 👍
Those two 'Connies' are superb. The TWA model has a pretty convincing sound, considering the size of the engines. Wonderful.
It is great you liked the video.
There is one more with 3 Connie's flying on my channel: ScaleJetFred
I agree that the Constellation was one of the most beautiful commercial planes ever designed.
These models were gorgeous. I especially loved seeing the old TWA paint job and the engines on that one sounded like they growled a bit lower than the Lufthansa Connie. Sure was fun to watch this video!
Amazing scale models! Nice work! What a beautiful aircraft she was!
One of the most beautiful airplanes ever build. Took me to my first duty stations in 1967
Hello rwseemore1! It took me from Berlin overflying the Border from Ost germany to the free West to Frankfurt 1959 on 08.08.
Thanks for the visit too my channel!

More RC Conny's in other videos on my channel!
What a beautiful comment, thank you Tom!
Greetings from Ireland, fred
The shape of that plane is just fantastic. I don't think I have ever seen it before. Very elegant and a true beauty.
How very fun... when I was a kid in Chicago, we'd drive from the NW Suburbs to Homewood to see my Grandparents, and while passing O'Hare in the early 60's... by the train yard... see those landing all the time.... nice planes you have there.
Yes Scott. 1959 I was a passenger of PanAm flying from Berlin to Frankfurt Germany. My first of many flights.
Greetings from Ireland, Fred
Thank you for your information Norbert!
Regards Fred
Indeed! One of this batch did win the Quarter Scale event in Las Vegas many years ago!
Thanks for watching a video on my channel
Thank You ModelFlyer!
Greetings Fred
Worth the price of the airline ticket just to see this!
I am Aussie born 1951, living close to Sydney I was a airplane nut I could tell what plane it was with my eyes shut by the sound, I still remember the first time I saw a Comet , luckily I was to young to afford a flight , the Constellation was my favourite, lately have taken a interest in German ww11 fighter planes and the Dornier bombers..
WOW! Stunning models, fantastic show and superb video!
I really like the exhaust fumes. Very realistic...
Hallo Heath Fiedler!
Great you found ScaleJetFred and my videos.
I appreciate your nice comment,
Greetings Fred
WoW, Great video of a Great miniature flying replica of an even Greater Full Scale aircraft.
I just love to see miniature aircraft being flown in a scale manor..................
As a boy I fondly remember stop playing to look skyward in order to watch the military version of the Conni with the fat radar fin on top flying over for approach to both Hickam HI or Lakehurst NJ. Sadly I can not remember ever seeing a passenger version of the Conni, flying over or even sitting on the ramp. Their time in service was long past as a passenger a/c in the mid 50s I guess.
Thank you ALL for the time machine moment just now......
Fantastic! Love the low fly-bys!
Hi Doug i am glad you found this video. I have one more on my channel about
these, have a look at ScaleJetFred
Brilliant RC pilot skills... great RC models...
Thanks for looking in to my channel,
I am happy you liked what you see.
First time I've seen a scale TWA. Awesome.
What a outstanding video, remarkable talent in both the "flying" and of course in the craftsmanship and modeling skills....
Thank you very much,
Fred
Beautiful models and great flying!
Even though I personally think the Constellation is ugly I still think you do a fantastic job!
great that you found my channel GRL!
Enjoy the many videos on ScaleJetFred and tell your friends please.
Regards, Fred
very nice, those Super-Connies!
Brought back memories of lines of Connies waiting to take off at Idelwild. ( JFK for younger folks)
Your Super Conny was wonderful, a real pleasure to see. Very nice!
Thank you for watching!
You can find other postings about Conny's flying in formation on my ScaleJetFred channel
Absolutely fabulous recreations of a piece of aviation history! Well done both of you.
Great you liked it mattiashaenni!
Have you found a second posting on my channel of Super Connie's taken 2 years later?
One is powered with E-motors and Sound electronic.
Hope you find it and thanks for watching!
Hi brianmink,
This is coincidence! I have seen and recorded tis Super Conny a number of times, First 1997!!
I have found memories about this (not the same) Aircraft:
1959 I fled from East Germany through West Berlin. On August 8. I flew with a PanAm Conny to freedom in Frankfurt!
It was not TWA, but on a photo I took from my seat before take off there is a TWA Conny waiting for passengers>
Within a few weeks I will post an other video in youtube about 3 RC Conny's I recorded last Year.
I write and send you the link.
Regards Fred
when I was new to the USAF, I flew aboard a C-121 of MATS from South Carolina to Wheelus in Libya in 1957...these are great r/c models
Thank You!
Fred

Greetings Fred
The most beautiful airliner of the piston age.
If only the full size Connies were so nimble! Great planes, great flying. I certainly enjoyed seeing these planes! Happy flying from NW USA (Boeing Country!)
Hi Friday!
It is all about Electric Power!
Lots of visitors prefer the Engine noise of a IC powered model...

Thank You for visiting ScaleJetFrred and the comment I will pass on to the builder/pilots. There is a second video about 4 Super Conny's on my channel
Hi Shane Kennedy,
I do have a 3.14 m Speed Canard.
The picture in the beginning of all my videos is this canard taking off at the first time
Tn calary bogs near Dublin.
I still have it, but because it is powered by a Super Tartan methanol engine I don't put it to the aier anymore. Ma be a converting to E power will get it going again.
The Kit is supplied by ROKE Modellbau , Wannweil, Germany
Regards Fred
Thank you for your comment Felipe!

Grazia for visit my channel and the comment
Hi Jonathan,
1/16 is correct.
Thanks for watching!
I am working on a new post as I recorded These Models again 4 month ago.
Greetings from Dublin, ireland
Fred in Germany
Great video and stunning aircraft....
Wonderful video, keep 'em coming.
I took these photos below before I entered the PanAm om * August 1959 to fly from Berlin Tempelhof Airport to Frankfurt/Main. My first flight ever!
As seen, The Pan Am dad ROUND windows and the TWA in the background more square type ones.
To be exactly correct these are not L-1649's but rather L-1049's and with the tip tanks may even be the "Super G". The L-1649 had the same fuselage but the advanced wing with square wingtips.
Hi H G,
thank you for watching and your nice comment!.
Did you see any of my other videos at ScaleJetFred channel:

Hallo G Stein!
Thank you for watching my video!
You are very observing and correct.
The Lufthansa is powered by 4 x 12.5 ccm (app .70 ) Webra 2-stroke engines.
The TWA is powered by 4 x 16.5 ccm Laser 4 Stroke motors. 4 Stroke motors sound more realistic bu are heavier

Uli Richter, pilot of the model with LH insignia, is a LH captain and also member of the LH RC model Flying Club.
Great information.

Always thought that was such a weird shaped plane. Weirder than the Concorde, even. Love it though, always had a place in my heart for aesthetically-pleasing machinery. ♥
+Kinsey Benedict
Thank you Kinsley for this very nice comment.
Coincidentally, My first ever Trip was from Berlin to Frankfurt in a TWA Super Conny! I loved the flight. Not because I was fleeing East Germany
but because of the experience flying and the beautiful sound of the engines!
By the way, last year I was able to record 3 of these models again at the same venue - you find it here:

Those are very beautiful planes and superb flying..
THE LINES OF THE PLANE ARE LIKE THE LINES OF A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN, JUST BREATHTAKING.
Last time I rode in a full-sized RC Super Constellation was Nov. 1969, between Mexico City and Habana on Cubana Airlines. Gained access to the cabin via a (built-in ?) staircase in the tail of the plane. I remember the blue flames of the four prop. engines.
Yes Michael!
My ever first flight was on e PanAm one from Berlin Tempelhof to Frankfurt, the access was by external steps to the forward door.
I have an other video of Super Connies, I included tho photos I took before entering the plane.
If something has already reached perfection is the end. It was the last and most beautiful airliners with piston engines, then came the jets.
Miklós Szentpály Thank you for your visit to my channel, greetings Fred
Great and so authentic replicas of ? Lockheed Super Constellation and amazing R/C guidance. I'm thinking that design was the high water mark for piston power airplanes.
👍💪🌈🙏
Thomas, I thank you very much for visiting and the comment, Fred
Beautiful build.
Hi Gary, the first model from the original mold - the are made from Glass cloth and resin - won many years ago the Quarter Scale meeting in Las Vegas. That model , having come from Germany, was purchased by an US modeller and flown for many years at shows there.
I flew, when fleeing East Germany 1959, in a Pan Am Super Constellation from berlin to Frankfurt! Happy memories...

Hi again!
I did speak with Uli Richter, Ex Lufthansa Captain, he maintains that it is L 1649 Super Constellation.?
Regards Fred

Great video and great flight
They look great, I love it. Especially the Lufthansa one.
Yet both still not quite as good as the really thing :)
The most beautiful airplane in the world.
I agree. Also these models are Super Scale. On of the only small batch kit made did win the Quarter Scale in Las Vegas. This model then was bought and flew in the USA , in Florida.
Thanks for your note
the first one in the TWA colors had a great sound. I think that's the coolest sounding model engine I've ever heard in regards to making it sound like a big prop plane sounds. It doesn't say the difference in the engine this but the other ones sounded completely different
Hi Jack! These engines are British built "LASER" motors producing this sound.
Thanks for your visit to my channel - please return to find other interestin postings.
Greetings, Fred
OH lol. I thought this was the real one. I live in Kansas City, MO. USA. And we have a real one here that's still flying. Just like this one.
Beautiful models! The piloting was really nerve racking though. One guy really needed to learn how to use the rudder!!! (Lufthansa?)
Thank you fore your nice comment!
Fred
such a beautiful aeroplane. I can't wait for the Lufthansa one to fly (or at least for them to update their website!)
Thank you for visiting my channel.
There is one other video I recorded 2015 at the Airliner Meeting in Germany.
As for LH - i am sure they will get it going. Meanwhile, the Swiss have one flying.

Great Conney, need to build the cargo pod for it.
What do you mean with cargo pod?
Thanks for watching and greetings from Irelsnd
