Ayyy the quintessential classic druid guide is here! I have the exact same sentiments towards the balance/resto build. Only difference is I will run fury of the storm rage pretty often but only if my WSG is controlling mid aka we have more priests... I just switch to survival rune if I pick up the flag or the match is competitive. My build is a bit different tho, I take 1 point in NG and 3 in shapeshifter and forfeit improved roots. The idea being that I shift in and out of bear alot to fully take advantage of SotF rune. Also to break roots/slows when flag running. Great guide! Cheers!
Full resto with improved wrath and using wild growth with some BFD gear that is leather is the difference between night and day with pre bis cloth on. I couldn’t believe it. I went from being 2 shotted to keeping my team up and going bear if I’m focused long enough to have team help me and survive. Pop faerie fire on rogues and watch them blow their vanish and waste it and then root them and they are 0 threat. The helm from pvp reducing damage and critical chance helps a lot too. Get in bfd asap and get your gear. I didn’t do premades in warsong and it was miserable until now. I highly recommend doing premades. Also, if you heal bfd you will get groups so easy. Everyone wants a priest and a resto Druid. This advice only applies to people who are willing to heal and like healing ofc.
Oh man, i dont know what to think if my druid fc didnt have nature's grasp or feral charge. The reason to take ferals instead of hunter or shaman is utility and instant roots or a dash away is so important when motility is everything
I'm resto specced into resto tree until I got reflection and then used 2 point to into nature's grasp for pvp then I can peel that rogue or warrior off myself 😅

I think for resto pve in sod phase 1 the way to go is to grab imp wraths because the healing style is VERY different from classic era. ur not only healing raid, ur also doing a good chunk of dps by spamming wraths when heals are not needed, thus using fury of stormrage + imp wrath is imo the way to go. also reflection at this level is kinda doodoo so even though that seems counterintuitive, i wouldnt feel obligated to grab it. have a nice day pal!!
Honestly Druid feels really bad. I know it’s only lvl 25 but sunfire and starsurge is the only viable PvP runes we have and they feel like a gimmick waiting to be nerfed after people whine for a few weeks. Feral feels really bad. Just a glass cannon that goes oom in 2 shifts and has so CC or slow while in cat. Survival of the fittest is mandatory but it’s behind a painful grind or a gold dump.
feels bad cuz we dont have travel form, which is like half our strategy in pvp for balance/resto. And yeah we dont have much mana but who does besides priests? Im enjoying druid since the starsurge buff personally. lvls 40+ will be different
Every class except warrior hits like a truck now. I don’t think the kite and hot and outlast strategy will be viable anymore. Especially after sub fire and starsurge nerf which they will be nerfed you can count on that.
@@ashtonsmith9682 I agree, I was thinking the same thing when the runes were first teased but not having travel form is still a huge factor. I personally think full balance, boomkin will be the best pvp spec outside of feral.
@@Ebbnflow Yeah ive heard these mythical stories of ferals blowing people up but personally haven't seen it. I guess you have to be full BFD gear. But I don't see how this would ever work on a decently geared player who knows their class. I've yet to lose to a feral druid 1v1. They always oom and i sunfire them to death after i get some distance. So far the feral kit is going to be worse than tbc. No slow. No stun. No gouge. no cyclone. Mangle is all that was given.

Yeah for PvE that could work! I didn't like the PvE healing as a druid so far as resto build. Balance with off heals feels more enjoyable

I kinda still like feline swiftness build but in boomy gear. Sunfire spam bloom live forever max mana. Not the most dam but really annoying.

Hmm, I feel that feral is squishy too, but it does so much damage, so you have to just get used to the playstyle in my opinion
