Great video Sean. (Cliff Totten here) I'm ok with 4:2:0 HEVC but it tops out at only 200mbps. It's generally fine for most things but if you stretch it hard, you can get the shadows to break. I'd LOVE to see you add a 300mbps mode. Some of the competition can do this with their HEVC encoder and I hope you can get this info back to your engineers as a suggestion. I LOVE the S5-IIX and Im very excited to get shooting with it. Great job as always!

I need 4k open gate, is it possible or even considered?

I love your videos. You’re the only brand that does it so well. 👍🏻👍🏻

I really like the frame marker, I use it for both video and photo. I wish it was possible to change the settings directly from the Q menu and not only from the full menu. At the moment you can only toggle it on/off and I wish you could switch aspect ratio etc. It's the same with other functions in the Q menu, I wish you could change the settings there.

Hey Shawn, is there a chance we could see HDMI down-convert on the S5 II with a future update, or is it a hardware limitation ? Thanks

I would like to have a video on how people use VLOG in non controlled shooting applications. I've watched videos (such as Photo Joseph and yourself ) for exposing VLOG in situations where you have both time and the ability to modify lighting, eg short films and Vlogging in a room, etc. What I don't get is how to use it when you are outdoors and need to act quickly. Things like outdoors shooting wildlife, or maybe shooting your dogs at agility trials, or an outdoor concert/performance, or cough cough, shooting motorcycle or car races. Do people just use the waveform or move the luminance spot meter to the brightest part of the scene or what? Thnx!

I have not been able tto locate the full user manual for the S5IIX (DC-S5M2XBODY). I can only find the user manual for the S5II on the Panasonic web site, not the "X" model. Does anyone know where I can download the user manual for the S5IIX?
