At home & for say a serious landscape, Rembrandt is my go to as it glazes beautifully and the colors are the most natural. The actual colors of nature. Also, Rembrandt offers more control than other paints ... it goes where you want. Some like that aspect, some don't. Daniel Smith, I find myself using the Primateks the most, I really enjoy them.

yes! i agree with you that rembrandt and holbein have some similarities. i wonder what it is about those rembrandts moving away from the black line...hmm, i'll need to test that with my rembrandts. you might be on to something there ;) edit: i just saw i'm one of your recommended channels! awww, thank you Tammy~ that's so touching~ 🥰

"i wonder what it is about those rembrandts moving away from the black line..." i'd say surface tension, and the lack (at least compared to DS) of wetting agent (ox gall, i presume)

Definitely in my opinion and experience Rembrandt better and better colors, they have now expanded the range of colors and the series with high-granulation colors is at the top, it depends and Daniel Smith are top colors but definitely in layered work there is a difference, but yes let us remind you that DS has the strongest marketing and you will see DS with many masters, but due to the contracts they have with them, I am absolutely sure that the greatest masters do not work with only one brand

Rembrandt is the most underrated brand. Their series 100 Kolinsky brushes, paint better than most Kolinsky and feel great! They are as good if not better value, than their Van Gogh line!

Van Gogh -- this is student grade watercolor line, Rembrandt -- professional watercolor line.

Nice video Tammy. My Rembrandt's behave the same with some pens. If I use my Uni Ball it seems to repel the paint a little. It's very strange that it does that.

Aww thanks Jay 😊. Yes it’s very weird, I’m not sure why they do that as well. It’s not something I’ve noticed in other paints but I’ll keep a look out
