  • We take a close look at the Weihrauch HW98 Breakbarrel Air Rifles in both .177 and .25 Caliber. The HW98 is possibly the finest breakbarrel produced. We matched these with KONUS OPTICS. Are these scopes tough enough to withstand the double recoil? We give you a close-up on these optics and show you the overall performance of HW98. #staytunedforairgundetectives

I bet the 98 in .177 would like 10.34 grain. I shoot a hw97k, hw98,and a tx200. As far as accuracy and triggers go on all three rifles? There's no difference between the 3. The only strong point to the TX200 over the hw's is the ease of breaking down the rifle. So when I hear someone say, the TX200 is the best, I simply have to say, "that's a matter of preference. ". And the hw's cost less.

A full-tune includes taking the rifle apart, honing the air chamber, installing a new piston seal, maybe a top-hat on the spring, properly lubricating, and usually some trigger work if necessary. Actually, it would take a very long time to weaken the spring. I wouldn't leave it cocked overnight, but a hunting session is no problem.
