I just purchased a HW30S from Airguns of Arizona, in 177cal. I had to watch this again to see her technique. She is one Hell of a shot. God bless you both 👍🎯❤
How is the HW30S performing for you? I also got one almost entirely based on this review and Lucy’s shooting demonstration. I have had 5 shots touching several times at 25 yards, but not through the same freaking hole! 😂
@@IREFUSE9 My HW30S is working excellent. I adjusted the trigger to 1 pound. It even loves the Crossman pointed pellets from Walmart. The 7.33 JSB pellets work great at 25yards. I've heard the RWS basic line 7.0gr also work great. I can keep most pellets in a penny at 25yards. Sometimes I get lucky and have one ragged hole 🤣
Congratulations to you, Suzanne, and to you, JC! My! My! OUTSTANDING shooting! 5 shots in EXACTLY the same hole! I'd NEVER seen that before! Looked up this video while awaiting the arrival of a Beeman literally within the hour. Thanks to both of you for one of the best airgun channels anywhere. Wow JC! Same hole accuracy at 20 yards is a milestone achievement!! This was done effortlessly and with a smile. The rifle is iconic but the shooter is simply amazing! You are both a credit to the air gun community!!
Every time Lucy shoots it amazes me..She is just a natural. I want to enter her into some of these bench rest contests. I appreciate you watching and thanks for the comments👍
I have one of these. I bought it during the ammo shortage, which is still here (ammo is now a little easier to find, but the prices are absurd, certainly out of my reach) This is the best break barrel air rifle I have ever owned or shot, by a long way. It is NOT cheap. It is NOT a Walmart gun. I got mine from Pyramyd Air, in combination with what turned out to be an excellent scope. This rifle feels heavier and more substantial than my Marlin Model 60 .22LR and Marlin Model 795 .22LR. It also cost considerably more than those guns did. I was hesitant to pay more for an air rifle than what I paid for real guns, but every review on this gun was totally positive. I was still expecting it to be a flimsy plasticky rifle, even though I knew it had a real wood stock. First thing I noticed was just how heavy the box was that it came in. When I took the rifle out of the box, I was absolutely blown away. Most people who are not very familiar with real guns would never guess this is an air rifle. The quality far exceeds many lower priced .22s. It has proven to be accurate, reliable, and something very important to me, being 63 with shoulder problems and fairly severe arthritis, it is the easiest break barrel air rifle I have ever had to cock. It is also subsonic, so I can get away with shooting it in my back yard. I not only believe this rifle will last the rest of my life, but is something I can pass down to my now one year old grandson. If you can afford one of these, GET ONE!!
Fun review. "Lucy" is one cool cucumber to stack 5 shots in a single hole at 20yds. Many of us would lose our nerve on that 5th shot. You two make a lovely and relaxing couple for airgun reviews. I'm glad that I found your channel.
I tried and tried to find one of these R7's in stock at dealers everywhere I could, but no luck. So I did manage to find and buy one of this Beeman's cousins;. Glad I did! What great rifles! If you want a bit more fun and a bit lower cost Beeman does offer a few CO2 powered rifles, such as the model QB78S . Only draw back, being CO2 powered, it looses power in cold weather, ( CO2 issue ) but again, you can't beat the R7 for all out shooting fun.
Hi Reg, I have a couple of those in the works and I hope to bring Lucy back for the shooting portion. One thing about Lucy, she is a natural, and will show you the best you can get out of a rifle.
You can't expect anything less from Weihrauch! They are the premier air rifle manufacturer always have been and likely always will be! Robert Beeman knew what he was doing when he partnered with Weihrauch to have these rifles made and imported into the US and Canada. Weihrauch's model of the same gun minus the checkered stock is the HW30 and 30s
I have owned my Beeman R1 Magnum .177 caliber since 1993. It is still like brand new, and it shoots lights out. The barrel loves the H&N Barracuda Hunter Extreme, H & N Crow Magnum, Predatory Polymag, JSB Ultra Shock, and many others. Your wife can shoot very well, just like my wife. Nice video and review. Love my Air Arms TX 200 MK III also.
That was one hell of a group! With Ricky Ricardos accent, Lucy you got some explaining to do!! To the both of you, Thanks for sharing. From NM, Stay safe and stay blessed. 👍🇺🇲🤙🇺🇲✌
I had one sold it only to wish I never had so going to get another, the only thing I would say is that my rifle straight out the box gave 8ftlb and settled at 7.9ftlbs in .177 they are one of the most accurate rifles on the market I kid you not and out to 30 yards I have shot loads of rabbits and squirrels.
Wow! Nice review, and the accuracy of Lucy’s shooting made me go out and order one (I’m in Canada). BTW, after watching at least 30 R7/HW30s videos and some great shooters, not a single one came close to the 5 hole in hole performance of her demonstration! Just wow, and I agree, she is nicer to look at than you 😂. No offence. 🙂.
Your wife is a better shot than me. I have an Hw50 which is very similar to this gun and I had the same problem with the safety so I removed it and it's much more convenient to shoot now.

Hi JP. I found that it was always easier to teach the ladies to shoot, and that included many female recruits. Most of the females never really experienced shoot so there was no bad habits to break. But there is also raw talent as Lucy displayed. She's a natural. Thanks for tuning in. We'll definitely have her back👍😉
Hi JC and “Lucy”!, perfect team, have to make more videos like this, Beeman R7 is an excellent and lovely spring, and with Mike Melick tuning it gets even better. can be used by everyone with no age or size limit. It is without doubt the most accurate in its segment. Despite being far away, the eleventh of September marked our lives, I will pray for everyone's families. Congratulations Suzanne and John. all the best. Cheers
Thank you my friend! I finally got to share Lucy's talent with our airgun family. I really want to get her into some of these bench rest competitions. Mike said he was going to send her a Beeman AR2078 to test. So we'll look forward to that one 😉
Good video! The HW30 / R7 is one of my favorite air rifles. I also loved the respect you showed your wife. (She deserves it!) Keep the great videos coming. Happy shooting!
Just ordered an R7, i wanted something “heirloom” quality so I can show my boys proper marksmanship before getting them into rimfire. Also good for the pesty field mice and squirrels constantly getting in the chicken coop. Great informative video. Subscribed 👍🏼
Hi Suzanne (Lucy) and John, Lucy, you are simply adorable, and a great shot. The rifle review was okay, but was somewhat translucent. Probably because of your presence. As always, a great review. Thanks for sharing, and God Bless the two of you, Greg
Hi Greg, thank you for the comments and I will definitely be bringing her back time to time. I have had a really positive response on her appearance, not to mention she is really a phenomenal shot. 😉👍
Thank Y’all for sharing . This video makes Me want to take My wife out shooting more . I love Beeman air rifles . I wish You’d do a review on one of their double barrel over / under rifles. I own the double .177 version that only fires both barrels at once : It is amazing for close range pest control . And thank You for reminding Us all about Our fallen heroes. They should never be forgotten .
Richard, I have one and I will review it at some point for you. That is a fun rifle. The only problem is trying to chrono it. The two projectiles throw of the machine, but I will figure it out!😉👍
7:54 - 9:39 either she better than anyone else i have ever seen or thats why it costs $400 for 650fps. she is definitely amazing either way. thats insane. would have loved to see what you could have done
Greetings JC, couldn’t agree more about the R7. Got mine from Mike and it really is a lot of fun to shoot. Easy to cock, not pellet picky, and a tack driver for sure. I like the 9.25 grain Hatsan Vortex Strike pellets, inexpensive and accurate in my R7. Never forget……….
Wow what a shooter!!! I noticed she didn’t even have to break to cock. Super quite too. Amazing gun! Congrats to “Lucy”! I sent my Walther Terrus in .177 to Mike to tune. He does a fantastic job. I think when I get a R7 in the future I will ask Mike to give me the “Lucy Tune” Lol super performance and super shooting! Thanks to you for keeping air gunning simple, fun and just being like a friend. Great channel.
Great review as always ! As a Marine, veteran thanks for acknowledging those Marines, Corpman and Soldier that didn't make it back home. Oh bye the way your shoots like a Marine ! Lol. Semper Fi !!
As America commemorates 9/11 my thoughts and prayers are with all those who died in this evil crime and those left behind, as a brit I still feel sick to my stomach and just cannot believe it even after all these year's it's still fresh in my mind as if it was yesterday. I also pray for all those soldiers killed in Afghanistan whilst trying to evacuate American personal and Afghan's who helped America during the war, and for all those left behind by that bumberling president you have. The r7/hw30 is the rifle I regret selling more than any other rifle the accuracy is second to none they punch so much higher than any other rifle out there superb.
I have several..Next time..I offered but she turned me down and she didn't want to disturb her rhythm. These accurate shooters are hard to keep up with😆👍😉
I bought a walther terrus. then I found out Umerex now owns them. Not very happy!! I can't shoot springers anyway, but the terrus was bad. Maybe I should have bought an R7!
My wife couldn’t understand my air-gun hobby. She found no enjoyment trying to shoot my magnum rifles and complained about my hobby’s budget. I bought her one of these rifles and now she shoots more than I do!
@@AirgunDetectives Thank you for the service and time. I think that would be a great idea to have her do that. But be careful, she might become more popular than yourself! Lucy, that is.
@@AirgunDetectives Hmm.. My bet is that she does not have as many different airguns as you have - so she's gotten to shoot and train with that one specific rifle more than you have..(?) Just a wild guess..😁 We had this one machinery engineer/designer at work. He was (and maybe still is) into 10m target pistol shooting (€1500 Steyr PCP pistols and all that..). He also got to find out that his wife was a better pistol shooter than he was..😁 His wife actually then has attended 10m airpistol competitions.
@@brorjordas1979 actually that is the first time she has shot in over a year. The first time she had shot the R7 rifle was 15 minutes before we filmed that. She had about 20 shots to practice. She is just a natural. Woman are usually easier to teach since they generally have not developed bad habits. She is just a natural.
Dave, I was just saying that...I can produce and direct and she can star....I am going to bring her back for some of the lighter, less recoil style rifles. It is always a pleasure to watch her shoot. Thank again for your comments😉👍
Great review nice shooting Lucy She is definitely easier on the eyes then JC himself 😀🤣😂 That is definitely a nice rifle I can’t believe how accurate that thing is 😳😳 Keep up the great work airgun detectives. Your videos are always so informative I learned so much every time I watch one.
Actually, that is us every day. We are lucky, we do have incredible chemistry and a lot of fun. I can truly say she is my best friend! Derek, thank you for the comment and I appreciate you watching 😉👍
Absolutely your best video so far! My hat's off to you for the military tributes, excellent review, and admitting your wife's a better shot. Mine is too, lol.
Great video my friends. That was awesome That you and your wife made a video together. Now you are a great shot but wow your wife can shoot. I bet she could strike a wood match at twenty maybe thirty yards with a pellet.
Remember, you get what you pay for. Quality does not come cheap but you get durability, longevity, accuracy, the best trigger and an outstanding stock. These will last for generations. This is the BMW or Mercedes in the Breakbarrel world 😉
wow.. Sir you are so lucky.. beautiful wife, good shooter, nice gun..🤷🏽.. oh my gosh.. what else you need.. 😂😂.. oh i mean the gun was very nice , i'm over thinking for this over R9 .. i like quiet , target, backyard liking..🤓... Any way thank you you and your beautiful wife taking time doing this video.. and Sir and Madam i wishing you both and family have a great Big holiday coming up..🙏.. God bless you .. God bless American ...
Du’uuuude 😱 she totally killed it!!! Hahaha, “Lu’cy” is an AMAZING shot, holy cow 👀 Annnnd, yes, you are very correct in regards to easy on the eyes lol, she’s beautiful. You seem to be a very lucky man, for all the reasons!! Much love and always appreciate the videos brother 😎🤙 🇺🇸
Hey Buddy. Yes. I am very lucky to have such an awesome wife and best friend. We genuinely really like to hang out together. I think we need to get Lucy in some of these Air Rifle Bench Rest competitions. She shoots really well under pressure. I appreciate you watching and thank you for the comments 👍
I have the "BEEMAN" Sportsman, which I think is the Chinese knock off version of this. Quarter size accuracy at 25 yards, with cheap Crosman pellets from Walmart. Shoots .22 14 grain at 730 fps. May do better with quality ammo. Ok version for the money. Not hard to cock, but may be tough for young shooter or the ladies.
Hi Bill, no he is still in business and doing good. Call him directly if you are interested in any product. He can actually get you just about anything! Tell him JC says "Hi" 515) 924-3699
Lucy friggin' slayed it! Way to go! 🤟 The R7 has been on my radar a long time. Hey - how much barrel droop was there? I know it doesn't affect anything, just a pet peive. Another great review! 👍
Great shooting Suzanne! You're a lovely lady and have a beautiful rifle. Congratulations on the last 30 years with JC! I know how tough that was! LOL! I hope he's not driving you crazy with retirement! Thanks for give us your time and example with your rifle! JC your a lucky guy having such a lovely Lucy!
Great video thank you. Your wife is beautiful and a great shot. Weihrauch is amazing Air Rifles pity our South African currency is so bad, I would love to get me a HW97K. Maybe one day when I am big😂
That is a VERY good group, but there is no such thing as a 0 c-c group, it's statistically impossible. I would recommend using real airgun targets from a good maker like Krüger, they are far easier to measure groups on.
Yes she is and don't rub it in😉!...I can't shoot the R7 like that. This is actually made by Beeman in Germany. The Weihraugh HW30 is the almost identical model. The only difference is the stocks. Beeman has a slight edge, just a little nicer. Other than that it is the same rifle 👍
Wow! 5 in the same hole ! JC, respectfully, Suzanne is a sight for sore eyes, super nice and a great shot. You make a great team. You should marry the woman, again, just to make sure. By the way, how long is that bar you're shooting over anyway ??? What a house ! :-) Your biggest fan in Montreal, Pete :-)
Hey Pete, I appreciate you watching and thanks for the comments. It took me years to get that yard put together and more hours than I can count. I built that bar years ago. It is a little over 12 feet long and about 6 feet deep. Complete with a sink, refrigerator and an Ice-maker. BTW...in addition to being a great shot, Lucy use to be bartender. So to say the least I hit a homerun!😉👍
Actually, no he's still in the business the problem is inventory is still hard to get. He can order about anything you want but he dose not display much on his website. You need to give him a call.

Get that girl a pellet pen!!
Great review as always!
I have several..Next time..I offered but she turned me down and she didn't want to disturb her rhythm. These accurate shooters are hard to keep up with😆👍😉
I regret selling my early 90s R7 in .20cal. It was no speed demon, but I used it to hunt squirrels/rabbits more then my R1s, R10s.
Great rifles!!👍
I bought a walther terrus. then I found out Umerex now owns them. Not very happy!! I can't shoot springers anyway, but the terrus was bad. Maybe I should have bought an R7!
It appears Flying Dragon no longer has the R7! Bummed.
Great video, informative by showing what the gun is capable of doing. Kudos!
Call Mike directly he should be able to order it for you.
@@AirgunDetectives Thank you!
My wife couldn’t understand my air-gun hobby. She found no enjoyment trying to shoot my magnum rifles and complained about my hobby’s budget. I bought her one of these rifles and now she shoots more than I do!
Carl..isn't that funny how that works😉...I think I need to enter Lucy in a bench rest competition at some point.👍
@@AirgunDetectives Thank you for the service and time. I think that would be a great idea to have her do that. But be careful, she might become more popular than yourself! Lucy, that is.
Wow! Nice review! Totally nailed it!
Hey Bror, now you met the other half. I can't shoot like that with that rifle! I am glad she is humble.😉👍
@@AirgunDetectives Hmm.. My bet is that she does not have as many different airguns as you have - so she's gotten to shoot and train with that one specific rifle more than you have..(?) Just a wild guess..😁
We had this one machinery engineer/designer at work.
14:50 in, J.C. the most honest makes his most honest statement. Bless you and yours also. Keep it up fantastic content.
Another great review thanks for sharing.
Cory, thank you for your continued support👍😉
Great episode!!!
Thanks Skip...We miss you!!
Holy sh...! She's the Robin Hood of the rifles!
So we'll stated!😉👍
Thanks for the vids as always!! Beeman quality 👌!! Looks like u got some friendly competition there jc lol
Competition is always good. But you set her up with a rifle she enjoys to shoot and it's lights out👍
You two are really cute together and you have such a beautiful family. I’m very jealous.
John ol' buddy i think you just lost your job..lol.. loved the intro too . Take care guys
Dave, I was just saying that...I can produce and direct and she can star....I am going to bring her back for some of the lighter, less recoil style rifles. It is always a pleasure to watch her shoot. Thank again for your comments😉👍
Great review nice shooting Lucy
She is definitely easier on the eyes then JC himself 😀🤣😂
That is definitely a nice rifle I can’t believe how accurate that thing is 😳😳
Keep up the great work airgun detectives.
Your videos are always so informative I learned so much every time I watch one.
Thanks Ross...one thing about Lucy, she will show you the very best you can get out of a rifle😉👍
Im not shooting against her! Great shooting and review for sure.
Moose...we need to enter her in some bench rest competitions. She can represent AGD and AG of Mich 😉👍
This is my dream gun. Maybe someday!
You two are cute. The chemistry & laughter 🥰🙌🏾
Actually, that is us every day. We are lucky, we do have incredible chemistry and a lot of fun. I can truly say she is my best friend! Derek, thank you for the comment and I appreciate you watching 😉👍
@@AirgunDetectives absolutely, it made me smile 🙂. Thank you for another awesome review. I just bought a refurbished dpms after watching your video.
Absolutely your best video so far! My hat's off to you for the military tributes, excellent review, and admitting your wife's a better shot. Mine is too, lol.
Mike, Thanks for watching and I appreciate the comments!!👍😉
Thats awesome !
I have HW30 .22 cant do that
Mabey Lucy could...LOL👍
You're a lucky man JC a wife with looks and can shoot to :) . Most women don't care for the same hobbies as men . Nice rifle.
Yes I am...Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comments👍😉
What is the scope your using on the gun?
That is a BSA Outlook 3-9 x40 AO. Very reasonable 👌🏼
Great video my friends. That was awesome That you and your wife made a video together. Now you are a great shot but wow your wife can shoot. I bet she could strike a wood match at twenty maybe thirty yards with a pellet.
Shawn, thanks for watching. She is really an incredible shot. I need to enter her in some bench rest competitions. 👍😉
Wow nice group 😍
Lucy's head is growing by the minute....LOL😉👍
That thing is a tack driver!
Nice rifle JC but quite expensive
Remember, you get what you pay for. Quality does not come cheap but you get durability, longevity, accuracy, the best trigger and an outstanding stock. These will last for generations. This is the BMW or Mercedes in the Breakbarrel world 😉
@@AirgunDetectives Yeah very true brother 👍 your wife is an excellent shot 👌
Is that beeman R7 good out to 55 yd for field and target do you think
The R7 is a pretty low powered rifle. I would look at the R9. A little more velocity 👍🏻😉
What brand of scope is that?
BSA Vantage amzn.to/44cJoKl
Du’uuuude 😱 she totally killed it!!! Hahaha, “Lu’cy” is an AMAZING shot, holy cow 👀
Annnnd, yes, you are very correct in regards to easy on the eyes lol, she’s beautiful.
You seem to be a very lucky man, for all the reasons!!
Much love and always appreciate the videos brother 😎🤙
🇺🇸
Hey Buddy. Yes. I am
very lucky to have such an awesome wife and best friend. We genuinely really like to hang out together. I think we need to get Lucy in some of these Air Rifle Bench Rest competitions. She shoots really well under pressure. I appreciate you watching and thank you for the comments 👍
Damn.. don't ever piss her off! 😅
Mike's web site seems to be for sale. Is he still in business? Do you have contact information?
Hi Bill, no he is still in business and doing good. Call him directly if you are interested in any product. He can actually get you just about anything! Tell him JC says "Hi" 515) 924-3699
@@AirgunDetectives Will do.
Lol, awesome! Hey you could chrono and test trigger pull at the same time.
Lucy friggin' slayed it! Way to go! 🤟 The R7 has been on my radar a long time. Hey - how much barrel droop was there? I know it doesn't affect anything, just a pet peive. Another great review! 👍
No barrel droop! Incredibly accurate. Lucy did a good job of demonstrating the potential of this rifle. have a great weekend Stan 😉👍
@@AirgunDetectives Really? That's good to know. Sweet little rifle!
Bruh that group !
Right? Lucy can shoot!😉👍
Yes I am lucky, I feel very lucky and blessed...she is one incredible lady😉🙏👍
Is it a replica of an actual riffle? Or is the form factor common in older riffles?
Brand new genuine Beeman R7! 100% German made👍
So accurate though!
For that money I'd want atleast 11 FPE. Atleast the missus is happy 😉
Next time put the camera inside the mailbox recording and get her to open it and look inside and say your tag line. ;)
I like that....That could be fun!!😉
Great video thank you. Your wife is beautiful and a great shot. Weihrauch is amazing Air Rifles pity our South African currency is so bad, I would love to get me a HW97K. Maybe one day when I am big😂
Hey Phillip, thanks for watching and I appreciate your comments.👍
Wow Your Wife Shooting is Amazing. I know this is old Video but Never seen it.
Yes...I can say she is really good. I just may enter her in some competitions. Thanks for tuning in, and I appreciate your comments 👍🏻😉
Lucy is a 🦅 👁️
Thank You for the Thirteen and review.
0.0 ctc Amazing
I know right? I need to set her up in some bench rest competitions.👍😉
Holy cow that woman can shoot!
That is a VERY good group, but there is no such thing as a 0 c-c group, it's statistically impossible. I would recommend using real airgun targets from a good maker like Krüger, they are far easier to measure groups on.
😳JC she’s a better shot than you 😆. Is that gun made by weihraugh. Grate video 👍
Can it be de-cocked?
Yes, It can, and the safety can be re-set.
@@scottshaw9360 How? Neither my R7 nor R9 will allow me to push it back to safety.
Wow! 5 in the same hole ! JC, respectfully, Suzanne is a sight for sore eyes, super nice and a great shot. You make a great team. You should marry the woman, again, just to make sure. By the way, how long is that bar you're shooting over anyway ??? What a house ! :-)
Your biggest fan in Montreal, Pete :-)
Hey Pete, I appreciate you watching and thanks for the comments. It took me years to get that yard put together and more hours than I can count. I built that bar years ago. It is a little over 12 feet long and about 6 feet deep. Complete with a sink, refrigerator and an Ice-maker. BTW...in addition to being a great shot, Lucy use to be bartender. So to say the least I hit a homerun!😉👍
@@AirgunDetectives You da Man JC !! :-)
"Lucy" is lethal! She's hot. And she wears a great watch! 😍
Yep...she is all girl but she has had aspirations of being a sniper👍😉
@@AirgunDetectives And a good one at that! lol...
Jesus she’s better than you lol ! Great video
With her rifle, I can't argue that point!
If it wasn't for Lucy, I wouldn't have watched it....
Your wife is beautiful JC good job🙂👍
I will agree with that! 👍😉
I personally wouldn't pay that much for 1
Well, JC, looks like you just lost your job.
I know...we need more Lucy!!
I think Mike is getting out of the air rifle business. He has no springers in stock.
Actually, no he's still in the business the problem is inventory is still hard to get. He can order about anything you want but he dose not display much on his website. You need to give him a call.
