Been let my daughter watch your videos with me trying to get her out with me more. Got me a hammock for Christmas had her out swinging in it. Hope by letting her watch your vids she'll know its not just for boys. Lol. Love your vids.
Still one of the most enjoyable trips, you can sense the in trepidation at the start of this journey, your soul was out there ! The sound track and narrative was beautiful, and captured the moment, (autumn) my go too when I need to feel warmth , Clare. ❤”bit late on this” commented on release….Charming, Canny lass
Nice one Claire... To commit to doing all that in spite of the conditions AND to balance it up with having to get back over a 4 hour journey to pick up your son... You're awesome!
Young Lady you push yourself harder than some military groups I have been associated with in my younger years . You do more in an overnighter than most young people do all year . I am so impressed with who you are and what you do. You go through a lot of discomfort to make these vids . I for one appreciate what you do . Thank you for sharing your adventures with us . Be safe and stay well .
@@WildBeare Absolutely Alex very difficult to get motivated the next day, unless you are thru hiking long distance, because it becomes more of a habit to get up go out continue on a long journey, I found that out on a 10 day hike in Hardangervidda Horedeland Norway in October conditions in high altitudes like our snowy winter conditions, but it would rain often and the first few days motivating yourself is not easy, then you realise how much food you are carrying and in the middle of a national park 5 times the size of Snowdonia and totally remote, that you have to turn back or continue, and that time of year when you go far into the mountains there is no one nobody for days! I love this it brings out the primal survival spirit in yourself to keep going!
You are wholly admirable, Claire, with your physical courage in the face of weather conditions that send lesser mortals straight back to their cars, and the moral courage to face your fears!
Very inspiring video. I have yet to solo backpack but this year will be my first. Thank you for always putting up entertaining videos for your viewers. Cheers from U.S.
Oh Clare, always such a joy watching your adventures. You are an amazingly tough, brave cookie and always have a brilliant smile. A real inspiration to us all. Wishing you happy and safe times. Xxx
You smashed that trip mate, you made a plan but admitted that the conditions where too bad for you and changed your plan to be safe, congratulations, this is the biggest lesson someone can take from your vids, always think 'am I safe', Great little trip Claire, I'm sure George will be going on many adventures when he is older. Take care 👍👍❤☕
Must be really nice to arrive home after another winter adventure in the great outdoors and snuggle down knowing you have tasted the wild beauty of the mountains and been challenged in every which way 🎶
That was really brilliant Claire, your filming is just superb, the quality is fabulous to watch,so clear well done. Not gonna lie, that fallen tree crossing you done,so glad you made it across 😂😂nervous for you.best wishes.
Hi Rachel! Aw yay thanks, so glad you like them, I love to share them with you guys :) yehh I agree, have you been out much lately? I remember your first overnighter a few months ago :D
@@WildBeare I’m hoping to do a woodland wild camp next week. At present I only have time to do little micro adventures of just one night. Hopefully in the summer I’ll be able to go further and do longer trips. Keep making great content, love your honest and authentic approach ☺️
Don't underestimate the healing power of computer games when you can't face going out of the house - but if you can make that leap then, yes, nature is a stronger healer.
If you have wet walking boots in the morning, but dry socks a good tip is get two plastic bread bags and put them over the dry socks then into the boots. The boots will eventually dry out but your socks will still be dry! The bags weigh next to nothing and it is a good hack to keep your dry socks from getting soaked straight away 😃
Good call, I used the bags off bread for years between socks and work boots on many water logged construction sites, they have amazing resistance to holing and tearing. Always take some when hiking.
It has been a real pleasure watching you grow into the adventurer you have now become; beautiful filming, very interesting vlogs , and a lovely person. I'm sure all of us are glad to see a new WildBeare posting...I know I am.
What an epic trip that was Claire, thankyou for the armchair trip. You definitely tackled some mega tough conditions on this one, but you came through with flying colours and conquered them. You have my utmost respect Claire, you're an inspiration and a leader to others. A huge well done to you x
I absolutely love being in a tent, car or caravan when you hear the sound of rain on the roof and you are warm and snug in bed. But being in a tent if your are warm and comfy, you have the added advantage of knowing that you have made shelter for yourself and survived. Being one of the 3 essential elements to survival I guess it gives you that feeling of accomplishment. You really nailed this one again Claire 👍👍👍😀😀😀 xxx
Aw thanks Chris, yep I totally agree, it really satisfies a primitive survival instinct doesn't it :D I love to be all cosy and hear the rain too 🌧 have a lovely week! 🌿 Claire

Thanks for all the effort you put in to share your life with your audience. The conditions aren’t easy on top of everything else you have to think about. Thank you!❤️ Bryan from Vancouver
Really enjoyed this, you an inspiration! I have never been brave enough to go out as a lone woman, but your videos are making think that maybe I could.
You never cease to amaze me, I like your spunk and attitude. I've been following your adventures for a while you certainly like adventure. Just always be very careful. 50 years ago I used to backpack to some very high lakes to fish and back then I was in me early 20's, I'm so jealou..
Raaa Ch: Try shorter trips, in easy stages to build your confidence. A walk along a coastal path, stopping off at a cafe for lunch. The coast is easy to get to and if you take a pair of binoculars or camera, you can enjoy the local wildlife and the fresh air. Persuade your partner or a friend to go with you and build those memories together. Or try a camping ground near a local beauty spot. You can have the facilities and other folks, not too far away, to ensure you are safe. Paul Messner, another You Tuber, persuaded his wife to go Winter camping on such a site and she enjoyed herself, although she was sceptical to begin with.
Great video once again. For the tree crossing an option would be to put on your crampons to grip the bark better allowing you to walk over instead of the bum shuffle 😀
I absolutely adore this young lass. Absolutely enjoy the video segments. Like the daughter I wish I had. Super down to Earth. Respect and love of Nature and Solo adventuring is awesome. You are beautiful in all ways kiddo. Stay sharp, stay healthy, stay real. I believe in one if your segments you had a son. Have you exposed him to the wonders of time in the outdoors? Hi, love the vids. Watching you fill the water bottle my thought was that you need a wrist strap on it,those streams run fast after heavy rain. I’ve been going through my rucksack and swapping stuff around for new items.I will be 71 soon and I want to do the wainwrights this year. If you would put a hand warmer in each of your boots they would be dry and warm in the morning. Really enjoy watching your kids we don't have that much water here in the west usa.you have to care a lot with you. X
Last year in the Peak District while solo wild camping I lost the path in a remote area, I was picking my way through a boggy area with lumpy grass when it just gave way any my legs disappeared, I was able to arrest myself by throwing myself forward at the waist, I have no idea how deep it was but it was scary, I’m always super careful now in boggy areas 😬
Ohhh my gawd that must have given you such a fright!! I've had that happen on Dartmoor before, fell down to my waist into a hidden watery hole, very glad it wasn't deeper! The trekking poles are a godsend on that kinda ground, still makes me nervous though, even if it's not deep it'd be so easy to break an ankle
I loved the beginning of the video. I caught myself laughing out loud when I realized that red burrito had eyeballs 🤣. You are tough my friend. I can't find but maybe a couple of my guy friends that would hike and camp, much less in shotty weather. I know I could find more female friends that would but that would be hard to do where I live.
